  • A laid back paradise

"This little cottage was just what we were looking for. We liked it so much we plan to return next year! It is in the east end of the island on a quiet street and just a two minute walk from the beautiful beach. There is no public parking on the street so the beach was quiet around the Seagrape Lane area. We took in sunsets and sunrises at the beach almost every day with lots of shelling, swimming and long walks in between. Also, you are within minutes walk to the water on the Causeway side of the island where we liked to sit in the shade or fish during the hot afternoons. In addition, you are within walking distance of the fishing pier which is very popular for those who like this sport. The cottage had everything we needed for a great beach vacation. There are lots of towels, extra bedding in case of cold nights, beach chairs and umbrellas. We did a lot of our own cooking and the kitchen was very well equipped. The beds are comfortable with new mattresses. There are plenty of books for people with various tastes which was great for two avid readers. We had a dog travelling with us so the outdoor shower, the lanai and the big yard were very helpful. Dogs are welcome on all beaches on Sanibel as long as they are on a leash. We brought our bikes which is a great way to get around the island. Next year I hope to bring my kayak as well as there are lots of places to paddle. We are nature lovers and really enjoyed all the bird watching as well as spotting the dolphins. Although you will see plenty of birds on the beach, a visit to Sanibel is not complete for us without a trip to Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. Also, don't miss the farmer's market on Sunday mornings and a visit to the various public beaches on Sanibel and Captiva as each one has its own beauty and unique character. Karyn and Richard were very attentive and checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything or just to share information on events and activities taking place in the area. They are very personable and easy to deal with. If you are looking for a laid back, cottage style vacation on a beautiful tropical island we would highly recommend Seagrape Cottage."

  • Bayfront Bliss!!

"Imagine waking up to an osprey's call, and seeing beautiful shore and water birds frolicking out on the bay, all from the comfort of your cozy King bed looking out your sliding glass door... Excited to begin another day in paradise, you walk with a cup of coffee out on to your dock, and are entertained by schools of mullet jumping out of the water while being pursued by a dolphin... This was our experience nearly every morning! We have been coming down to Sanibel for years, and the Island House has now become one of our favorite places to stay... the house is very comfortable, decorated in a fun tropical/Asian way, and with a very well-supplied kitchen! My mother-in-law was able to cook a traditional Swedish Christmas meal for us, and loved how easy it was to do there! The many decks and seating areas made relaxing outdoors so comfortable, with our favorite places to relax being by the pool or out on the dock! The location of the Island House is perfect; being on the bay provides beautiful water (bird and fish) views, and a short walk to the beach provides a grand Gulf view with beautiful shells galore! The neighborhood is wonderful, with 3 great restaurants and a small grocery store all within walking distance! Additionally, Chip, the owner/manager, was wonderful to work with; providing helpful recommendations about the area as well as responding quickly by text when his assistance was needed. We will definitely be back!!"

  • Home Away from Home

"We have been vacationing on Sanibel island since the early 1980s and coming to Palm Paradise for two months annually since 2009. The home is, by far, the best accommodation we've found. It is open and airy with a great interior layout and fantastic lanai and pool. There is plenty of room for visiting family and friends. The home is located in a quiet area, yet is close to all of the activities, restaurants and shopping we enjoy. It is a few minutes from the beach and close to the bike paths and nature areas. The Kilkennys are always available and easy to work with. They are eager to make our stays the best they can be. We think of Palm Paradise as our home away from home and are looking forward to our visit again next year."

  • Beautiful Home!!

"This home was perfect for our Girls Getaway! The house is very well appointed with everything you could possible need. Not only is it beautifully decorated, it is very spacious. The bedrooms all with en suite baths, were extremely comfortable with plenty of room for two people. The back enclosed porch, pool/spa area are amazing! We spent a lot of time there creating wonderful memories. The beautiful beaches were very close and easy to access. I would highly recommend this property. We had a magical time and it was one of the best vacations I have ever had!"
