"Truly White Caps #8 has become a "second" home to us. This past year has been our 4th year in this unit. The owners have continually updated the comforts. This year they completed a total remodel of the kitchen/bath and installing the ever useful washer and dryer. New tile floors are in along w a comfortable King bed.
The view of God's handiwork in this unit is unsurpassed. Sunrise and sunset can viewed from the sofa, the porch or a very short walk to the beach.
New stuffed cushions chairs on the porch are perfect for the early morning read of a good book while listening to birds, surf and slapping palms in the wind. There is a back door entrance complete w shower and hose to wash off the sand.
The location is quiet, scenic and truly a respite for life weary workers.
If that is not enough, remember you can bring your "fur" kids so you don't worry about them being left behind.
Book a week yourself - fall into the allure of Sanibel from the comforts of #8 White Caps, restore your soul -- you'll be back!!!"

"Plenty of beach towels, no need to pack those bulky items in your luggage! Lots of space, home is comfortable without being "over decorated". Great kitchen workspace with all equipment, lots of prep equipment, plenty of storage containers and pitchers. Choice of coffee makers (Kuerig and drip). Updated and upgraded w/d in unit~runs efficiently and quietly. Just steps to the pool or path to beach. Beach umbrellas and other beach equipment on the porch. 3 working tv's, loads of DVD's and tapes, music for the machine, books, puzzles and game. We had great weather, warmer than usual and the no see ums were out in full force. Pool was delightful and management is firm with adult swims and keeping children under 12 out of the hot tub. A variety of activities (with fees) are available in the clubhouse each day. Internet service (private for the unit) was excellent. Discovered the web cam so we can watch from home. We hope to return to this unit another time!"

"We have been to Sanibel many times, always having to come down during high season Spring break weeks. Luckily, the MIL rents a house every year, so it's been awhile since we rented a condo. My husband and I decided to spend our Anniversary in Sanibel, so we decided to find a condo on the beach. There are several things about Gulf Beach that make it a great choice - it is a very small complex, with just one building containing 14 units. The reason this is so great is that there is a nice stretch of beach that will end up being used by so few people. When I walked down the beach, other spots were mobbed (even during the off season) because there were clumps of building with tons of condos all sharing the little beach frontage. 106 was a great choice for us because it was relatively cheap, and we saved even more money by not having to rent bikes that can cost a couple hundred dollars per week each. The 106 storage locker is jammed with beach chairs, sand and beach paddle toys, floaties, shelling nets (and now beach umbrellas that we left) and the like, so don't buy anything. You will have everything you need. The condo is totally fine - it was very clean when we arrived and it has everything you would need. The units on the second floor of this condo might have a little better views of the ocean, but we still really enjoyed sitting on the lanai and having a cocktail. The owner of this condo was quick to respond to our rental request, and everything was handled by Sanibel Holiday and they were great to deal with and there is you need anything. We had great weather, but there are a ton of board games, books and videos in the unit if you were to have rain. The east end of the island is great - a little quieter. You can quickly bike down to lighthouse beach to watch the sunrise and I would seriously recommend that."

"What an amazing place. This was our first time ever staying in a condo. We will never go back to a hotel!
So much room! Fully stocked kitchen. All the "beach" supplies you could need including beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and much more!
LOVED the extra blankets. Even though it was warm out, I love watching tv with a blanket!
Close to everything. Pinnochios ice cream was our favorite place.
Highly recommendto anyone wanting a beautiful place to stay!"
