  • Coconut Hideaway Review

"We stayed here the month of December 2014. The home is in an excellent location off West Gulf Drive & is in a very quite area. The walk to the beach is a 10 minutes to beach access #1. The house is also in good overall condition & managed by Royal Shell. The Royal Shell service is excellent check-in was painless & they were very quick to resolve problems. ( our two problems were each resolved within the hour ) The house has stairs if your not comfortable with that. I would of given the home a 5 star. If it were not for some minor cosmetic work. ( painting outside decks, stairs & pool . linens replace ripped & stained sheets . TVs are extremely small & some furniture is looking tired kitchen stools & dinning chairs, bikes need attention) The home is other wise nicely decorated & the landscaping is plush ! We did enjoy our stay !"

  • Fun home base on the bike path

"[This review assumes you know Sanibel] Pros: -- One short block from the beach; short ride on bike path to Schnapper's Hots; ~2 mi. to Pinocchio's Ice Cream and the lighthouse; 6 mi. to Ding Darling -- Photos are accurate; notice the large propane grill on the deck -- Stocked with beach furniture, coolers, towels, flashlight, all cooking tools, dish soap, laundry soap, salt/pepper, coffee filters, books, DVDs, etc... Pack light! -- Good wi-fi and TVs -- Very very clean -- Comfortable beds and couch Cons: -- [a minor one] Beware: There are 2 properties next door to each other called "Shell Basket 1" -- this pink one and a blue one (with a pool). If you get a delivery it may go to the wrong place (even if you tell Billy's Bikes the exact address, 1153 Nerita St.) -- Shower faucet is odd and gives you choice of cool water or scalding (but cool is fine on sunburn!) -- Manager is nearby but a bit hard to reach in advance for questions -- hopefully this review will answer some."

  • Perfect Island Home

"This was the third, month long visit for my wife and me. During our stay we were visited by our children and grandchildren. The house is roomy, clean and well appointed. Our two grandchildren especially enjoyed the loft with its twin beds and tv. The master bedroom is roomy with its own bath and a slider to a deck overlooking the pool. It is especially enjoyable for all the company in the afternoon watching the colors change in the western sky. There is also an outside dining area that is screened and surrounded by foliage. Great place for breakfast and the evening meal...a great home. The house is next to a large, clean and heated pool...never a crowd in that there are only nine homes in Sealoft Village. Next to the pool is a tennis court in very good condition...it is almost always open to play. From the pool, it's a pleasant stroll on a boardwalk to a beautiful beach that is sparsely populated. One can look to the left to the Sundial and right towards the public beach and see crowds while this beach is wide open. Dolphins appear almost everyday in mid-morning...nice sight while sipping your second coffee on your beach chair. Obviously the location is excellent. It's only a mile to Jerry's supermarket....a pleasant bike ride for those small purchases. A variety of great restaurants are only a short drive away..can't wait to return to the island."
