"We spent a wonderful time in Sanibel and enjoyed so much the typical American confortable house that Melinda and Stan have created : The 3 very confortable bedrooms (very good beds), nice open living room, fully equipped kitchen, the pool area is very nice, we enjoyed the 4 bikes that we used every day to go to the beach or to explore the area around, we saw dolphins and manatees right on the nearest beach from the house. Although we did many things such as boat renting, waverunners, kayak on the river, we regret that we could not stay 2 or 3 weeks instead of a full month (minimum stay), it would be better four our teenagers who need to be occupied all the time, but we definitly had a lovely time at coconut hideway and recommend totally this house to enjoy Sanibel island."

"Sanibel Surfside was beautiful! Our condo was facing the ocean and literally feet away!!! We had an excellent time, the condo was immaculate including all the amenities that you could possibly need. Wonderful screened in lanai to watch the ocean from and super friendly helpful owners. My family and I can't wait to return again!!! Also, the shelling on our beachfront was incredible!!!! Thanks again....until next time!!"

"We are typically a crazy busy family, who runs from one event to the next. My intention for this vacation was to do nothing except relax and that was accomplished! I am a family member of the owner and we only stayed for a week and without charge, but what a week that was! My kids did not want to leave, and I did not want to leave. My 2 younger kids went from playing on the beach to swimming in the pool. And my 18 year old daughter went from laying out on the beach to biking around on the trails to communicating with her friends back home on her iPad with the free WiFi. The house is just beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a great vacation, from beach towels to pool towels to a fully stocked kitchen. Everything was provided which made my son happy because he has smoothies everyday and the blender there works better than the one I have at home! We visited one of the public beaches just to explore but we were very happy to spend the remainder of the week at the beach just across the street for several reasons, no worries about finding a parking space, less crowded, no charge to park, and easy to run home if something was forgotten. The privacy afforded by the huge lot was very nice as well. The kids brought their soccer ball and were able to play outside and run around. Sanibel is an amazing place to visit and if you want to be comfortable there is no reason to stay anywhere else!"

Perfect place for a quiet and relaxing stay on Sanibel!
"This is a very sweet house in a quiet residential neighborhood - extremely clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We enjoyed the short walk (and even shorter bike ride) to a gorgeous, uncrowded beach. The beds were comfortable (though we didn't actually try the sofa bed in the third bedroom/den), and the kitchen had everything we needed. The screened-in patio off the kitchen is lovely, and the whole house is very nicely decorated with local artwork (some really beautiful woodblock prints of birds) and shells. The owners have an extensive selection of books available, including many nature books and local guides. There were several bikes of various sizes (no kids' sizes, but we easily rented one for the small person in our group). Although the bikes did vary in age and condition, they were great for around the neighborhood, through the Darling refuge, and trips to the grocery and ice cream stores. We also enjoyed the croquet set!"
