"We absolutely fell in love with Palm Paradise. The beautiful setting, close proximity to the beach, and the comfort of this gorgeous home made us feel really at home immediately. The furnishing and decor were perfect, and the pool area, surrounded by lovely flowering shrubs and lush foliage was a joy. There was so much space, along with everything you might need and so much more. We enjoyed the beach equipment and the bikes, and early mornings and evenings spent on the terrace lazing on the wicker chairs was so nice. A lovely spot for listening to the birds or reading.
We found the wildlife fascinating - birds, lizards, frogs, occasional snake (harmless) not to mention the ibis, great egret and cardinals that visited. Osprey circled above frequently.
We were lucky enough to spot a bobcat one night as we returned from a restaurant, and at J N Ding Darling and the Bailey Tract, we saw alligators and racoons.
The photos of the house don't show how spacious it really is and I can honestly say that having rented many homes on Sanibel and Captiva, including one very expensive Captiva beach house, this house is our favourite. It was a joy to spend time there and I really hope we will return. It was well worth the nine hour plus flight!"

"We have just returned home from a fantastic week in Sanibel staying in this unit at Shell Island Beach Club.
The photos are an exact depiction of what you can expect…the ocean view puts you in vacation mode immediately! The vaulted ceiling really adds to the spacious and bright feel of the condo. All rooms are a good size and the beds and sofas are all very comfy. There are no photos of the bathrooms but they are both very nice and up to date. Each bathroom has a hair dryer.
My little girl loved the guest bedroom with its fish theme and the Winnie The Pooh sitting cushions. We also rented 2 playpens from the office for $10 each for the week, which was great.
The screened in balcony is awesome. You can sit and/or play out there and not worry about bugs (or children sticking themselves or anything else through the railings). There is also a stand out there to hang all your beachwear to dry which was a very useful addition.
The kitchen has pretty much anything you would need. There are lots of plastic bowls and plates if you have kids in tow.
The grounds are lovely and well taken care of. Everything is very clean.
This condo is very well located. It is steps to the pool and just past the pool is the short boardwalk to the beach. We had 2 little ones with us so the close proximity was great. The pool is such a nice temperature. There is a bin that has lots of pool noodles and larger sized pails and shovels and a few nets. We mostly ended up using that stuff instead of all the beach paraphernalia that I rammed into our suitcase.
We went out for bike rides a couple of times. There are lots of bikes and helmets are available through the office and a few bikes with child seats on the back.
There is a nice covered park at the other end of town and we tried out The Island Cow restaurant which was a casual, well priced, easy place to eat.
We also went on a dolphin watching boat tour in Captiva which was so much fun.
On our last 2 evenings there we had the awesome experience of exploring the ocean floor during low tide (the office can give you a chart for that). I have never done that before and it was the coolest thing ever. If you have not ever done that, do it!! We saw so many sand dollars as well as a few starfish and all other kinds of sea creatures moving around trying to burrow themselves into the wet sand waiting for the tide to come back in.
All in all we had a fantastic time and would certainly recommend this resort and unit!"

"Absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed everything about it. It had everything we needed right in it and is just steps away from the beach. The beach was very private and quiet. We will be going back as soon as possible."

"This unit matched the pictures and description exactly. We had three adults and two 6-year-olds (3 generations) and comfortably stayed in this condo. There was a lovely pool (quiet even, at times) and a beautiful beach within a 5-minute walk. Everything we needed was easily accessible and our visit was equal parts fun and peaceful. We wished we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this condo."
