  • Our Home Away From Home

"We have been returning to Villa Sanibel for at least 20 years and still look forward to our weekly visit each year. A few years we returned twice in one year. The unit is always clean and has everything you would need for a wonderful beachy time. My only request is that we have better beach chairs--we love to stretch out and some do not open up all the way. (A minor flaw in a terrific unit.)"

  • Very Nice!!!

"We really enjoyed our stay here...we found the condo to be very clean, comfortable & tastefully decorated...had everything we needed! Loved the privacy & quietness of this small complex! This poolside unit was next best thing to being ocean front...it was so nice to just walk out the door & jump in the pool after a hot day at the beach...there were times that we had it all to ourselves. The owner & management company were great to deal with...would love to be able to come down & stay here again! For anyone who's never been to Sanibel...we'd highly recommend Bailey's for all your grocery needs! Also have to put a good word in for Capt John Huston up in Captiva...we booked a fishing trip with him & had a great time. Capt John is a great guy...very personable & patient...well worth the money!"

  • Nice condo

"My girlfriend and I stayed here during the week of July 4 and were pretty pleased. Plenty of room, well-stocked kitchen (could use a spatula for the outdoor gas grill, though) and has a master bathroom off of the bedroom. The owners saved us money on beach chairs with a well-stocked closet of beach supplies, including beach towels. One improvement needed: Faster internet. Forget bringing your Apple TV or Roku to watch movies/TV at night. Web pages took a while to load. Download speed was around 0.3 mbps."

  • The Best Place on Sanibel!

"My husband and I, along with our two boys (ages 7 and 3) loved our stay at this condo! It is the only place we will stay if we return to Sanibel. It is right on the beach (exactly as pictured), which is absolutely perfect for a week at the beach with two young children. We ate nearly all of our meals on the lanai, which offers a lovely retreat from the sun where you can still enjoy the sights and sounds of the Gulf. The beach in front of the condo was very quiet and uncrowded, and filled with Sanibel's famous shells, gentle waves, birds, dolphins, manatees, and two turtle nests (one of which appeared during our stay). The closet on the lanai contained several beach chairs, an umbrella, and sand shovels and buckets. The building itself is also in excellent condition and is very quiet - the neighboring units were all occupied, but we never heard a sound from any of them. The swimming pool is in perfect condition and large enough for several groups to enjoy at the same time. The owner and management company were very responsive when an unexpected issue arose. The furniture, beds, and linens were all very comfortable and clean. Every appliance worked perfectly. We cooked simple meals and found every tool we needed. The unit was spotless when we arrived, which is especially hard to do in a beachfront condo with the humidity and sand. My only complaint is that the condo was a bit *too* clean: many consumable items were missing from this unit that we have grown accustomed to finding in our previous dozen stays in other VRBO-type rentals. For example, there was no salt, pepper, olive oil, ketchup, sugar (for coffee), ziploc bags, aluminum foil, shampoo, etc. There were small starter amounts of dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, and soap, but not nearly enough for a family of four for a week. If you stop at Publix before driving onto Sanibel to save money on groceries, I recommend that you also purchase absolutely everything you will need for the week (as the prices for these items are a bit ridiculous at the island grocery stores). The lack of these items didn't detract from our enjoyment of the condo - I just wish I would have known these things in advance and hope my review helps you avoid the surprise and enjoy your stay at this lovely condo even more."
