  • January retreat

"In our first time in Sarasota, we found this wonderful home in which to explore Sarasota. The home was well equipped with everything we needed; the rooms were large enough to make it a very comfortable stay. The location next to the Ringling Museum and the New College, where there were numerous evening lectures and programs were a real plus. Daily walking in the neighborhood and ease of driving to downtown, or to beaches on Lido and Siesta Key, shopping on St. Armands Key, trips to Bradenton, Anna Maria Island and many other destinations made this a very nice location. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a single family property in a great neighborhood."

  • Charming

"Mostly charming with very interesting historical value. The updates on the first floor and the bathroom upstairs were very nice, including beautiful tile and stainless steel appliances. The neighborhood is very quiet with a mixture of modest and upscale homes and lovely views of Sarasota Bay. It was close and convenient to a lot of sites in and around Sarasota. Although our stay was very enjoyable overall, we do have some small complaints regarding conveniences. We had difficulty gaining access to the cottage upon arrival, but a phone call to Brian quickly resolved the problem. Even though there is a washer and dryer included, there were not enough hand towels and wash cloths provided for the bathroom. There were no dish towels in the kitchen. We also had no bar soap for our first shower........had to buy some the next day. There was also no dishwasher soap provided. The lanai is badly in need of improvement. The adjoining deck could use a fresh coat of stain or paint. We had visiting relatives over for dinner our second night and the very old furniture outside was dirty and quite frankly, not very inviting. We also had to change our plans to grill out, because there was no propane in the tank. Then we had to have my Aunt (from Naples) bring a large enough skillet and boiling pot to prepare a pasta dish (my brother later found a large black pot in the bushes outside). The top of the Lanai as you looked out from the bathroom window was covered with brush and debris from surrounding vegetation. Less significant observations included a TV in one upstairs bedroom that did not work, and a large clock in the living room that obviously needed a battery. We didn't have any trouble with the TV in the living room and I greatly appreciated the WiFi and the VCR for a couple of exercise videos that I had brought. As I stated earlier, this is a charming property, but with more attention to detail it could be absolutely exceptional!!"

  • Lovely and pet friendly.

"We loved our stay at Sienna Park rental. Bea, was kind, accommodating and extremely informative. We stayed a whole month, while looking for a place to live. The apartment came fully equipped with daily necessities: iron, beach chairs, coffee maker, etc... Close to shopping and siesta key. My little dog loved how many dogs were around the area. The king size bed was comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend. :)"

  • This place is really nice!

"When I first entered the villa, I said "Wow! This place is really nice." It was super-clean, recently remodeled, and has ultramodern appliances, a big living room and master bedroom, good WiFi and cable channels, 3 HD TVs and plenty of room. It's right across from the community center with a large well-heated swimming pool and gas BBQ grills. The service from the rental agent Mary was first rate and immediately responsive. The location is perfect for all that Sarasota has to offer. It's close to the beaches and only about a 15 minute drive to Sarasota's cultural center with a concert hall, live theaters, world-class art museum and good restaurants. There's plenty to do in the immediate neighborhood, too, as it's 5 minutes from the mall with 12 movie screens. We went to Sarasota for some winter hiking, for which this villa is ideal. It is only 10 minutes from Oscar Scherer State Park and 15 from Myakka River State Park, which are great places to hike in the winter with well marked, dry, beautiful trails. After a day of hiking, we returned to the comfort and luxury of this modern spacious villa."
