"We had a wonderful time in Lido Key this summer! We rented this home for 2 adults and 4 teens. We loved this house! It is an older house but it is very well kept. The house had plenty of room for everyone, 3 bedrooms and a queen size sleep sofa. It is spacious, very clean, and nicely decorated. The house is full of light with big windows overlooking the pool area. The pool and gazebo were the teens favorite hangout. The house is very well equipped. Although small, the kitchen had everything you would need. The dishwasher wasn't working but it's probably fixed now. The mudroom has a very nice washer and dryer. The house comes with 3 bicycles (large adult size) that the teens used to go explore on their own, a couple of pool rafts and toys, and plenty of thick beach towels.
The location is perfect - an easy couple of blocks from St. Armand's Circle, and from the circle, a quick an easy walk to the beach. If you've never been to St. Armand's it is a very nice area full of great restaurants and shops. The Lido beach is absolutely gorgeous and it wasn't that crowded when we were there which was great (we don't like crowded beaches). The nicest part of the beach is right off the circle, since it's wide. If you walk down on the beach (south) there is a snack shop that has the most delicious lobster rolls. One fun thing we did was kayaking in the Lido tunnels - look it up if you go, we saw dolphins!
Kristie, the manager, was very easy to work with and responsive to all our questions. We highly recommend renting this house if you want to explore Lido Key. We want to go back already!"

First time my family has given me hugs for booking a vacation rental!
"You would be perfectly happy just sitting in the main living area looking through the wall of glass into the pool area watching the sky through the palm trees. But there is so much more! Outside you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the lap pool or relax in the hot tub. Inside, the kitchen is very well equipped for those wanting to cook (we found a cast iron skillet, micro plane, and potato ricer as well as a variety of coffee making options). The downstairs media room is a great space for watching movies without disturbing anyone in the rest of the house. The private beach is just a short bicycle ride away or you can walk there pulling the provided wagon with beach umbrella and chairs. The home is in a great location for walking or riding to Mote Aquarium and St. Armands Circle as well as other Sarasota sights.
My family has been vacationing on Longboat Key for over 20 years and we were very happy to find this HomeAway property for a change from our usual timeshare stay. As a HomeAway renter (much like for a timeshare) the condition of the property is somewhat subject to how the prior occupants left it. We did have some minor issues with damp linens and wet dishes which Giovanni was made aware of and has promised to address. Overall, I would not hesitate to rent here again and would highly recommend it for anyone else looking to stay in the Sarasota area."

"A group of us wanted to get away from Tampa for the long weekend and let me tell you, we were not disappointed. This was definitely a home away from home. Armando (owner) was quick to answer any and all questions we had. At one point on of our guests called him to ask a question about the hot tub and Armando made the time to come by and check it out for us. The house is equipped with anything and everything you can think of. From pots/pans/Tupperware in the kitchen to pool toys and beach chairs in the garage. We were all very content with the house. Although we did attempt going to the beach one day (only a 10-15 min drive), we couldn't find parking so we returned home to enjoy the pool. The only one issue we had was that the sofa bed downstairs was not really in working condition (very springy) and the stove wouldn't warm up as quickly as we would have liked it, but thankfully we had air mattresses we were able to use and the stove was able to complete its job. That definitely wouldn't stop us from going back. The entire group decided we want to come back at least once a year. Thank you Armando!!"
