  • Doesn't get any better: location, amenities security

"Gulf front is no exaggeration! This spacious condo is literally steps from the beautiful siesta key sand and a really easy walk to the village with abundant shops and restaurants. I've come to Siesta Key for years and there are very few places that you get both. I've never found one! With the exception of excursions to downtown Sarasota, we never had to get in our car. I loved being on the 2nd floor. We felt comfortable leaving the wide, sliding glass doors in the bedroom open day and night but we weren't too high up to have a view of the beach. In addition, there's a very friendly security patrol at all times. Likely because they don't allow daily/weekly rentals property wide, you have mostly permanent residents which I think maintains the calm and home-like environment we were looking for at the beach. There are ample beach chairs available by the heated pool as well as on the sand. It's like being at a resort (maybe except for room service). The kitchen was well stocked with place settings and bigger than I expected for a condo. We did a lot of cooking and eating out on the fabulous balcony while we were here. The two bedrooms and master bathroom are surprisingly spacious. I really liked having the walk-in closet and extra dresser. Even if you're only bringing a few months worth of things, it provides a great space to stash them and keep the bedroom clutter free. We didn't wish for one additional thing during our stay except maybe more time. We can't wait to come back!"

  • Cutest cottage ever! Great street with lovely neighbors!

"We are staying at the Magnolia House while home shopping. We were planning to look in a totally different neighborhood but cannot imagine living outside this little area now! The cottage is beautifully appointed, was spotless when we arrived and is much larger than we expected. For people who like to cook there is every utensil, plate, bowl, etc. imaginable. The kitchen is a very generous space to prepare meals in. Quiet and safe street, walking/biking distance to a park with a dog area, basketball and tennis courts and swimming pool. Covered parking and a cute beach cruiser were a pleasant surprise! Trader Joe's is just down the road, as is the mall. Downtown is super close and both Siesta and Lido Key beaches are within a ten minute drive. Our dogs love the fenced in back yard. Awesome vacation rental property for short or long terms!"

  • Excellent Stay!

"We recently had visitors from Europe who stayed in this condo. The condo is close to shopping and restaurants in a beautiful subdivision and has a wonderful view of the lake. The owner has made sure that the condo is very well equipped and there isn’t anything missing that you could need on a daily basis. Also, it is beautifully furnished and has been kept immaculately. We would definitely recommend staying at this condo."

  • Beautiful spacious house

"We stayed in this beautiful house for one week in August. Everything is exactly as the owners have described on their website. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need to have a nice holiday in Sarasota. The nicest beaches are just ten minutes away (by car) and a large mall with Restaurants, a movie-theater and lots of shops is just around the corner. There are beach-chairs and other beach-accessories in the garage so you don't need to bring your own. As we spent most of our time at the beach or sightseeing in Sarasota and surroundings we had not been able to test the pool which belongs to Timberwood circle. But we will do this the next time we are in Sarasota."

Sarasota Travel Tips

Sarasota offers visitors an excellent array of cultural attractions, dining experiences and outdoor activities.

Of course, while visiting Sarasota you'll want to spend ample time on the sandy shores getting that perfect tan, catching up on reading, cooling off in the bright blue waters and building the world's greatest sand castle, and there's plenty of space on the beaches to do all that and more during your vacation.

When you're ready to head inland, a variety of local restaurants await you to fill you with delicious flavors - especially fresh seafood - and provide you with a delightful night out. You can also spend time learning about the history and culture of this Floridian city as you explore the architecture, museums and even the circus.

Things to Do in Sarasota

- The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art: If you've been a long-time fan of the circus, art and the Ringling Brothers, visiting the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art and the Circus Museum are musts on the Sarasota to-do list. The Museum of Art boasts 21 galleries featuring paintings from Europe, contemporary art from Asia and America and Cypriot antiquities. There's currently more than 10,000 works in the collection in mediums such as painting, photography, sculpture, drawings and decorative arts. Some of the most treasured masterpieces are from Peter Paul Ruben, Marcel Duchamp, Rosa Bonheur, Benedetto Pagni, Joseph Wright of Derby and more. And if you love the magic of stepping into the big tent, be sure to also swing by the Circus Museum, where you'll find performing props, wardrobes and equipment like parade wagons and a person-shooting cannon. You'll also see a variety of 19th and 20th century posters and learn all about the history of "the greatest show on earth."

- Sarasota Jungle Gardens: Nature and animals lovers will certainly appreciate the Sarasota Jungle Gardens, which is one of the oldest continuously run attractions in Florida. Here you'll find more than 150 animals, both native and exotic, including parrots, birds of prey, primates, snakes, alligators, small mammals and flamingos - a huge draw here - throughout the 10 acres of tropical landscaping. The recently installed Flamingo Cam offers 24-hour viewing access to the flock of pink birds.

- Ca' d'zan Mansion: This amazing house is A 56-room Venetian Gothic-inspired structure that was formerly the Ringling family's home. The mansion covers 36,000 square feet and stands five stories tall. Take a guided tour of the palace and you'll feel like a personal guest of the Ringling family as you hear stories and information about them as well as the home itself.
