  • WE LOVED THIS HOME!!!

"When I started looking for a home for our family vacation, I didn't know what to expect. I chose this one because it was in my price range and it was close to where we wanted to be (Siesta Key). I couldn't have asked for a better home to stay in. We were literally 5 minutes from Wal-Mart, Publix, gas stations, and restaurants. We were about 20 minutes from Myakka River State Park and 15 minutes from the white sand at Siesta Beach. Armando provided anything that we could've needed in the home, from trash bags in the trash cans to a deck of cards. The kids loved coming back after the beach and swimming in the pool. Us grown ups wound down with a dip in the hot tub. We had a really great trip and I cannot wait to stay in this home again!"

  • Love Sarasota!

"Dear Beya: We are back home on Long Island. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the condo very much. The location was wonderful and convenient. We loved the lake view and we watched birds diving into the water. There were tall palm trees right outside our windows. The photos of the condo on the website were accurate. You really thought of everything. There were plenty of towels and we really appreciated the beach chairs. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance/gadget you could possibly need. We replaced anything that we used. My husband had difficulty logging into the internet and you sent someone to assist him the first day of our stay. Beya ,we look forward to coming back in the future.Thank you so much for all those little thoughtful touches in the condo, like the printed instruction sheets that clarified everything and the little candies. Sincerely, Barbara and Tony Commack, New York"

  • Happy on the Hudson Bayou

"This private rental was our best experience ever, after countless vacation rentals. It exceeded our expectations on all counts. The unit was equipped with everything that you could possibly need. It is possibly better equipped than your own home. It was also spotless; inside and out. The location is perfect for walking to everything, and kayaking every day. The layout provided perfect privacy for 2 couples. The unit faces south and the view is glorious all day long. The owners in the complex are delightful. (Shout out to Susan) There are just too many restaurants close by to recommend, such as Matto Matto - and Owen's Fish Camp, and everything on Main St. If you select this unit, you will never want to stay anywhere else!"

  • Great Vacation in a Beautiful Condo!

"Just wanted to let everyone know that our stay in Sarasota and at this condo was wonderful. The proximity to the beach and shops was great. As a family of five we had everything we needed. The condo was clean, tastefully decorated and stocked with anything you could wish for. Even had beach chairs and umbrellas. My children loved the pool and of course Siesta Key beach! Thank you for a wonderful vacation rental!"

Sarasota Travel Tips

Sarasota offers visitors an excellent array of cultural attractions, dining experiences and outdoor activities.

Of course, while visiting Sarasota you'll want to spend ample time on the sandy shores getting that perfect tan, catching up on reading, cooling off in the bright blue waters and building the world's greatest sand castle, and there's plenty of space on the beaches to do all that and more during your vacation.

When you're ready to head inland, a variety of local restaurants await you to fill you with delicious flavors - especially fresh seafood - and provide you with a delightful night out. You can also spend time learning about the history and culture of this Floridian city as you explore the architecture, museums and even the circus.

Things to Do in Sarasota

- The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art: If you've been a long-time fan of the circus, art and the Ringling Brothers, visiting the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art and the Circus Museum are musts on the Sarasota to-do list. The Museum of Art boasts 21 galleries featuring paintings from Europe, contemporary art from Asia and America and Cypriot antiquities. There's currently more than 10,000 works in the collection in mediums such as painting, photography, sculpture, drawings and decorative arts. Some of the most treasured masterpieces are from Peter Paul Ruben, Marcel Duchamp, Rosa Bonheur, Benedetto Pagni, Joseph Wright of Derby and more. And if you love the magic of stepping into the big tent, be sure to also swing by the Circus Museum, where you'll find performing props, wardrobes and equipment like parade wagons and a person-shooting cannon. You'll also see a variety of 19th and 20th century posters and learn all about the history of "the greatest show on earth."

- Sarasota Jungle Gardens: Nature and animals lovers will certainly appreciate the Sarasota Jungle Gardens, which is one of the oldest continuously run attractions in Florida. Here you'll find more than 150 animals, both native and exotic, including parrots, birds of prey, primates, snakes, alligators, small mammals and flamingos - a huge draw here - throughout the 10 acres of tropical landscaping. The recently installed Flamingo Cam offers 24-hour viewing access to the flock of pink birds.

- Ca' d'zan Mansion: This amazing house is A 56-room Venetian Gothic-inspired structure that was formerly the Ringling family's home. The mansion covers 36,000 square feet and stands five stories tall. Take a guided tour of the palace and you'll feel like a personal guest of the Ringling family as you hear stories and information about them as well as the home itself.

- Siesta Beach: For eight miles you'll experience the city's gateway to the Gulf of Mexico. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the laid-back, relaxed vibe, calm waters of the Gulf and the unbeatable sunshine.

Dining in Sarasota

- Captain Curt's Crab and Oyster Bar: Being so close to the ocean, fresh seafood is sure to be delicious in Sarasota, and you can find tasty options at Captain Curt's Crab and Oyster Bar. There's also a foosball table and pinball machine inside if you're up for some friendly competition. If you're feeling adventurous, there's even karaoke and live entertainment most nights.

- Bijou Cafe: For a more upscale dining experience, head to the Bijou Cafe, which has been serving delicious Continental-American cuisine since 1986. The eatery features an award-winning wine list and exceptional service. The decor is lovely and emulates a modern European cafe with French windows and fresh-picked flowers glowing in candlelight.
