  • Mad Men Meets Beach

"We adore the open, mid-century, "Mad Men" style of this home! It is stylish, well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and so peacefully quiet. Great furniture and comfy beds were a plus. All of the amenities are available for an action-packed or relaxing stay. My husband and I adventured the canals of the Phillippi waterway on the kayaks...it was a wonderful way to explore the waterfront properties of Sarasota. We even spotted some friendly manatees along the way! The home's garden and pool are well kept too and we enjoyed many quiet evenings on the covered outdoor patio. We have been coming to Sarasota fro many years and this is the best property we have ever rented! It's an easy drive to everything and great to have Trader Joe's nearby too! Thanks Jenny & Richard for a perfect getaway! We hope to see you next year too."

  • A dream holiday

"We first came to Sarasota fifteen years ago. Last year we felt like a change of accommodation and I came across this villa on the internet and booked it without seeing it. We turned up this year and as soon as we opened the front door we loved it. It was so spacious and tastefully decorated. The lounge we only used once when we had visitors. The main bedroom had a king size bed which I thought was great as I am very restless in bed. The closet was a good size and plenty of cupboard room. The shower was twice the size of ours at home and had infra red lights in there which we had never had before. The spare bedroom was a good size as well. The dining room was lovely with a quality dining table and chairs although we never used that either. The kitchen was a woman's dream, well fitted with everything you would. I especially liked the fridge freezer. The washing Machine and dryer were in the garage so you hardly heard them when they were on.the Florida room was my favourite as it was so light and airy and I spent quite a lot of time out there. We also eat all our meals out there and watched the wildlife at the same time. The den was my husbands favourite, it was a mans dream and so cosy with plenty of dvd's and books if it rains. There is a barbecue outside the front door which my husband was getting quite an expert at by the end of the holiday. The owners kept in touch by e-mail to see that everything was alright. What more could you want it was pure bliss. Can't wait for next year."

  • Amazing!

"We stayed for almost a month in this condo and it was clean, relaxing, and all amenities were available. It just felt like home! with its decoration that makes you feel you're into all adventures in Sarasota. Its location was perfect for us as we didn't have a car so it was close to siesta beach, malls, and supermarkets just 2 mins walk from home.We were there for a professional development program in Sarasota. The idea of going to the swimming pool and then going to work was great and relaxing. Not to mention, how helpful the owner was and easy to reach on his mobile phone to answer all our inquiries. I will definitely choose this condo next summer too as I need to attend the same program."

  • Enjoyed are stay

"The rental has everything you could possibly need for a long stay. Plenty of towels for bathing and beach/pool area. We were a family of 8 adults and 3 small children had plenty of room without feeling like you were on top of each other. Took advantage of the outdoor area (pool and grill). The bedding was very comfortable in all the rooms and televisions in all of them. If you are looking for a family rental this is the one with all you could need for a great stay. The owners are just a phone call away to help. We were able to get an early check in and even stayed an extra night. Wonderful time. Thank you!!"

Sarasota Travel Tips

Sarasota offers visitors an excellent array of cultural attractions, dining experiences and outdoor activities.

Of course, while visiting Sarasota you'll want to spend ample time on the sandy shores getting that perfect tan, catching up on reading, cooling off in the bright blue waters and building the world's greatest sand castle, and there's plenty of space on the beaches to do all that and more during your vacation.

When you're ready to head inland, a variety of local restaurants await you to fill you with delicious flavors - especially fresh seafood - and provide you with a delightful night out. You can also spend time learning about the history and culture of this Floridian city as you explore the architecture, museums and even the circus.

Things to Do in Sarasota

- The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art: If you've been a long-time fan of the circus, art and the Ringling Brothers, visiting the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art and the Circus Museum are musts on the Sarasota to-do list. The Museum of Art boasts 21 galleries featuring paintings from Europe, contemporary art from Asia and America and Cypriot antiquities. There's currently more than 10,000 works in the collection in mediums such as painting, photography, sculpture, drawings and decorative arts. Some of the most treasured masterpieces are from Peter Paul Ruben, Marcel Duchamp, Rosa Bonheur, Benedetto Pagni, Joseph Wright of Derby and more. And if you love the magic of stepping into the big tent, be sure to also swing by the Circus Museum, where you'll find performing props, wardrobes and equipment like parade wagons and a person-shooting cannon. You'll also see a variety of 19th and 20th century posters and learn all about the history of "the greatest show on earth."

- Sarasota Jungle Gardens: Nature and animals lovers will certainly appreciate the Sarasota Jungle Gardens, which is one of the oldest continuously run attractions in Florida. Here you'll find more than 150 animals, both native and exotic, including parrots, birds of prey, primates, snakes, alligators, small mammals and flamingos - a huge draw here - throughout the 10 acres of tropical landscaping. The recently installed Flamingo Cam offers 24-hour viewing access to the flock of pink birds.

- Ca' d'zan Mansion: This amazing house is A 56-room Venetian Gothic-inspired structure that was formerly the Ringling family's home. The mansion covers 36,000 square feet and stands five stories tall. Take a guided tour of the palace and you'll feel like a personal guest of the Ringling family as you hear stories and information about them as well as the home itself.

- Siesta Beach: For eight miles you'll experience the city's gateway to the Gulf of Mexico. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the laid-back, relaxed vibe, calm waters of the Gulf and the unbeatable sunshine.
