  • A calm, spacious villa in which to unwind.

"We returned. It is the second time we have rented this villa on quiet Mirror Lake Road. The front view of the villa belies its spacious interior. The spacious master suite, with ample closet space, occupies a wing at the rear of the property overlooking the pool area. The kitchen and living area is central in the property with a view out to the pool. There are 3 other large bedrooms all with ample closet space. The villa accommodated our party of 6 adults easily. The listing and photographs give an accurate description of the property. The pool/jacuzzi area is not overlooked and is a quiet, calm oasis in which to kick back on a sun lounger and relax. This is a real home from home villa stocked with everything you require (you just need to buy groceries and move right in). The owners are very approachable should you experience any problems. Publix, the gas station, Sarasota Square Mall and beautiful Siesta Key Beach are all a short drive away. Visit Mote Marine, St. Armand's Circle, Myakka River State Park, The Ringling Estate. Eat at Captain Curt's for clam chowder, Carrabba's for Italian, Outback Steakhouse, Mattisons on 41, Bonjour French café in Siesta Key village. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to friends or family. It is spacious and overall a calm, relaxing place to spend a vacation with family whatever the generation mix. Come visit, you have nothing to loose only your worries."

  • EXCELLENT LOCATION! CLEAN PLACE!

"My husband, myself and our 2 kids stayed in this quant neighborhood on Lido Beach and just loved our visit! The condo was roomy, clean and bright. Everything we needed was available....linens, towels, beach gear, etc. You can't beat the location.....right across the street from the beach (a 3 min walk) and less than a ten minute walk to St Armands Circle. Our car stayed parked the majority of our trip which was a refreshing break from the everyday hustle and bustle of our busy lives! The area is extremely safe as well. We decided to make this an annual trip."

  • Spacious home in a pristine golf resort

"We are spending the month of March at this lovely home. We have been very impressed with Heritage Oaks, it is comparable to a 5-star resort. This condo is very spacious, the largest of the verandah models. It is well equipped throughout with everything you need for a long stay. The location is on a small lake across from the 14th hole and we enjoyed watching the turtles and the vast array of birds. The owners have been very helpful and cooperative."

Sarasota Travel Tips

Sarasota offers visitors an excellent array of cultural attractions, dining experiences and outdoor activities.

Of course, while visiting Sarasota you'll want to spend ample time on the sandy shores getting that perfect tan, catching up on reading, cooling off in the bright blue waters and building the world's greatest sand castle, and there's plenty of space on the beaches to do all that and more during your vacation.

When you're ready to head inland, a variety of local restaurants await you to fill you with delicious flavors - especially fresh seafood - and provide you with a delightful night out. You can also spend time learning about the history and culture of this Floridian city as you explore the architecture, museums and even the circus.

Things to Do in Sarasota

- The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art: If you've been a long-time fan of the circus, art and the Ringling Brothers, visiting the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art and the Circus Museum are musts on the Sarasota to-do list. The Museum of Art boasts 21 galleries featuring paintings from Europe, contemporary art from Asia and America and Cypriot antiquities. There's currently more than 10,000 works in the collection in mediums such as painting, photography, sculpture, drawings and decorative arts. Some of the most treasured masterpieces are from Peter Paul Ruben, Marcel Duchamp, Rosa Bonheur, Benedetto Pagni, Joseph Wright of Derby and more. And if you love the magic of stepping into the big tent, be sure to also swing by the Circus Museum, where you'll find performing props, wardrobes and equipment like parade wagons and a person-shooting cannon. You'll also see a variety of 19th and 20th century posters and learn all about the history of "the greatest show on earth."

- Sarasota Jungle Gardens: Nature and animals lovers will certainly appreciate the Sarasota Jungle Gardens, which is one of the oldest continuously run attractions in Florida. Here you'll find more than 150 animals, both native and exotic, including parrots, birds of prey, primates, snakes, alligators, small mammals and flamingos - a huge draw here - throughout the 10 acres of tropical landscaping. The recently installed Flamingo Cam offers 24-hour viewing access to the flock of pink birds.

- Ca' d'zan Mansion: This amazing house is A 56-room Venetian Gothic-inspired structure that was formerly the Ringling family's home. The mansion covers 36,000 square feet and stands five stories tall. Take a guided tour of the palace and you'll feel like a personal guest of the Ringling family as you hear stories and information about them as well as the home itself.

- Siesta Beach: For eight miles you'll experience the city's gateway to the Gulf of Mexico. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the laid-back, relaxed vibe, calm waters of the Gulf and the unbeatable sunshine.
