  • Good owners

"We stayed here for three months, January February March 2015. The first impression we had was spacious, open, bright, airy, clean and neat. The kitchen was sunny and well equipped. The entire house is pretty well stocked with cleaning supplies, light bulbs, extension cords... everything we needed was there. I think because the owners sometimes stay there, they KNOW what it needs. Dorothy is the person we talked with. She is very nice and kind, and seems to respond to emails instantly. The owners have some kind of insurance on the rental so if anything goes wrong with plumbing or appliances, a repair person can be there the next day. The beds and all the furniture in the house are comfortable. The house is nicely decorated. There’s lots of storage space both in closets and in the garage. The neighbors on either side are friendly, but also respect your privacy. There is a big, fenced backyard with a grill and a tented patio with table and chairs to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. One of the neighbors serves as a caretaker, too. He helps out when problems occur. If you like to bus, there are two bus routes with bus stops just 2 blocks away. If you like to walk to get your groceries, a Neighborhood Walmart, Publix, and Big Lots are just a 15 minute walk. If you like to walk for exercise, nearby neighborhoods are quiet, well kept, and open. Siesta Beach and Lido Key are about 20 minutes driving. Downtown Sarasota with a zillion restaurants is about 15 minutes away, with free parking. Or, there are four pizza places and a new hot dog stand 5 minutes walking distance from your front door!"

  • Absolutely perfect.

"We stayed at this lovely villa for 2 1/2 weeks in April-May 2015. Everything was perfect. The villa was nicely updated, large and immaculately clean. We particularly liked the neighborhood community and the friendly atmosphere. Mary, the owner, was so accommodating and wonderful to work with. We have stayed on the Gulf Coast for several years and this was by far one of the nicest. We hope to be able to arrange another visit in the fall. Fantastic!"

  • January retreat

"In our first time in Sarasota, we found this wonderful home in which to explore Sarasota. The home was well equipped with everything we needed; the rooms were large enough to make it a very comfortable stay. The location next to the Ringling Museum and the New College, where there were numerous evening lectures and programs were a real plus. Daily walking in the neighborhood and ease of driving to downtown, or to beaches on Lido and Siesta Key, shopping on St. Armands Key, trips to Bradenton, Anna Maria Island and many other destinations made this a very nice location. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a single family property in a great neighborhood."

  • Second year to spend a month here and it is an exceptional place to stay!

"First- the villa: convenient to everything you need and most of what you didn't even know you needed but now want! Extremely well cared for villa home that is immaculate, and so very comfortable. At 1400 sq. ft. it is quite spacious, and the attached garage is a bonus. It is quiet in the enclave, and so if you like to party hardy, this is NOT the place for you. In fact, if you kept me up all night acting like drunken fools I wouldn't hesitate to call the police. And I'm betting so would the villa owners who live in the complex year round. There are a lot of returning guests year after year, with a heavy concentration of Europeons. It seems the word is out in Germany, in particular, that Village des Pins is a great place to stay. Next: the owners, Sandy and Doug. Nicest people ever! Dealling with them is always pleasant and they have a great fund of knowledge about great places to eat out. The lady from the management company, Mary, gets things done quickly and efficiently. Older clientele stays here, for the most part, and that helps keep things quiet and very, very pleasant."
