"this was our 6th year at 5579. The fact we keep returning speaks volumes about this property. We love this home. On arrival the house is always immaculate ...everything is ultra clean from floors to linens.we are very particular about the cleanliness of the place we stay and in 6 years the high standard has been maintained. The house is always being updated, well equipped with everything from pots and pans to beach toys and towels...every need is anticipated by the owners who are accessible and very hands on. Location is ideal...beach,village all within walking distance. We call it our paradise ......."

  • Wonderful accommodations

"We were so pleased with this vacation home! Beautifully appointed, perfect location within close proximity to the north end of Siesta Beach as well as the village for restaurants and shopping. The fenced property was perfect for privacy during busy spring break as well as for letting our son play in the yard without worrying about traffic or him wandering off. The village is about 3/4 of a mile walk or you can take one of the free shuttles back and forth to town. It's just a block away from the beach as well, and the north end is a little less crowded than the rest of it which is nice too. Our son enjoyed playing with the beach toys and they even had a grill which we used to get a break from eating out every night. The house isn't huge, but the two bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect for my 72 year old mother, 4 year old son, husband and me. Wonderful, relaxing vacation!"

  • Great House with Unrivaled Location

"My family and I recently rented this house for a week and I highly recommend it. The reason we chose this house was the location and we were not disappointed. This house has water on two sides and gives an unparalleled view of Siesta Beach as well as the gulf depending on which of the many decks you are on or which direction you looked. Many people on the beach asked us if it was our house and commented on how cool it looked and how it had an amazing location. My parents said it made them feel like the 'rich and famous!' The house itself is very spacious with more than enough room for the six of us who stayed there. The rooms are all big enough for family time together, but also spread out enough for private time as well. The house is definitely a 70's style house but is very well maintained and has nice, comfortable leather furniture in many rooms. Some of the external screen doors to the decks were a bit worn and hard to maneuver, but for a doors exposed to gulf weather 365 days a year it was understandable. The only mildly negative thing I can think of is the beach beneath the private beach access stairs appear to have eroded away leaving about a two and half foot step down after the last step. My mother has a bum hip and had a bit of trouble getting up and down the stairs. I spent some time and engineered some new steps out of rocks and concrete slabs that were nearby and that made it much easier for her, but I suspect the surf and weather will wash my make ship steps away before too long. Beaches and sand raise and lower all the time so we weren't too too bothered by this, but I suspect those stairs may need more permanent work at some point. As a whole we were very happy with the house and we are already making plans to come back next year."

  • Excellent stay

"We had a wonderful time. It was perfect for my family. We have a 5 and 7 year old. They loved it. The owners provided everything for our first time visiting the ocean. The home was clean, beds were comfy, the kitchen was filled with all the kitchen tools need to make a meal. The pool at the home was also perfect also filled with all the pool toys, lawn chairs, bbq grill and more. We will be making another trip to stay here! Hopefully soon!! I would recommend visiting all three of the beaches near. Each has it's own special quality. We loved swimming at Siesta Key beach and shelling and more adventure at Turtle beach. Turtle beach has some great back water Kayaking. We saw a Manatee up close, jelly fish, crabs and lots of ocean fish. That was one of the high lights from our trip."
