"This was the first time I stayed at Jack and Darlene's property and will definitely be back next year. I've been to Sanibel Island many times but really prefer this beach. Wide, soft white sand and not a lot of shells to step on. The location of the condo couldn't be better, the condo is quite large and very well equipped, and includes covered parking. Loved the new washer and dryer (once I figured it out!). The kitchen is beautiful. I loved the screened in porch the best because it was so large and gave a perfect view of the beach. The unit was super clean and beds were very comfortable. There were no issues whatsoever and working with Jack was a pleasure. Highly recommend this property."

"This was the second year of renting this unit and it's already been booked for next November. Like all others in the complex, this unit has a beautiful water view, but what sets it apart is that it is a corner unit that has been expertly converted from a two to a three bedroom, offering plenty of private space for guests or children. The owner is very attentive and is continually adding upgrades to make an already fantastic experience even better. As a result, there is no shortage of beach towels, beach chairs, parasols, coolers, fishing rods, pool noodles, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, pots and pans and all kinds of extras. The complex is very well maintained with large and smaller heated pools, tennis courts, fitness rooms, a pool table and a private picnic area right beside the Intracoastal Waterway with two new Weber barbecues. What's best is that all of this is within steps of two waterfront restaurants/bars, a pub-style restaurant, a boat rental facility and Turtle Beach, where it's seldom busy and where you can walk your chairs over to catch stellar sunsets. I highly recommend this spot for those seeking a truly memorable vacation experience."

"My family really enjoyed our stay at House of the Sun. This was our first visit and we'd return in a heartbeat. The beach was fantastic, ideal for long walks, swimming and sunning and family games. Very family-friendly, and felt perfectly safe even in the late evening with just a few people around. The area is very quiet after dark, which may be important to families craving a low-key spot. There's a couple of popular bars/restaurants with patios across the street from the complex that play music but we couldn't hear it inside the condominium. There's a grocery store conveniently located across the street, as well as a pharmacy, and some other shops.
The condo was clean and comfortable. The king bed in the master was comfortable for us, while our tall teen son was a little less comfortable in a twin bed in the second bedroom. Having a washer/dryer in the unit let us travel light for the week. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and was well-stocked with dish soap and even coffee filters.
The office staff are very responsive, and solved a couple of minor concerns we had within minutes. We arrived after the office had closed on Saturday, and getting our keys from the lockbox was no problem. Though it wasn't hot while we were there, I'm sure the covered parking is appreciated by guests visiting in the warmer months. The pool was spotlessly clean and comfortably warm for swimming."
