  • Great place

"The location of this building is perfect, across from numerous restaurants and the bridge to the rest of Sarasota. Right on the most beautiful beach I've seen in years. Perfect for 6 people, kitchen was well supplied. Some items were needed, called Dan and he told me to buy them and he will reimburse me. Dan is a very fine gentleman and easy to talk and deal with. The property was well maintained, Paul and Peter kept the property in excellent shape, always there working and with friendly smiles. Spent the month of February 2015 there and will be there February and half into March 2016."

  • Christmas Break 2014

"My family really enjoyed our stay at House of the Sun. This was our first visit and we'd return in a heartbeat. The beach was fantastic, ideal for long walks, swimming and sunning and family games. Very family-friendly, and felt perfectly safe even in the late evening with just a few people around. The area is very quiet after dark, which may be important to families craving a low-key spot. There's a couple of popular bars/restaurants with patios across the street from the complex that play music but we couldn't hear it inside the condominium. There's a grocery store conveniently located across the street, as well as a pharmacy, and some other shops. The condo was clean and comfortable. The king bed in the master was comfortable for us, while our tall teen son was a little less comfortable in a twin bed in the second bedroom. Having a washer/dryer in the unit let us travel light for the week. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and was well-stocked with dish soap and even coffee filters. The office staff are very responsive, and solved a couple of minor concerns we had within minutes. We arrived after the office had closed on Saturday, and getting our keys from the lockbox was no problem. Though it wasn't hot while we were there, I'm sure the covered parking is appreciated by guests visiting in the warmer months. The pool was spotlessly clean and comfortably warm for swimming."

  • Spacious Comfort

"We had a great week. The house is well furnished, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The rooms are all large and well decorated. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen (had everything we needed), grilling on the deck, relaxing in the sun and loved the jetted tub in the evenings. We went to the beach almost every morning, explored the shops on Siesta Key and visited Sarasota. The only disappointment was the pool never was warm enough to use. We probably should of expected that at the end of January, but thought it was more than solar heated. We would definitely love to return another time. Johnny was so responsive and helpful when we first arrived, thank you for sharing your house. Excellent location."
