Cozy but comfortable and nice location in nice neighborhood
"Stayed for a week for my daughters spring break as she had friends staying in the area. Home is located about 3/4 mile from the beach and 3/4 mile from Venice Avenue where the shops and restaurants are located. Also 3/4 mile from Publix and many other shopping and dining options on Tamiami Trail. Hard surface flooring throughout which was perfect for my daughters asthma. Very comfortable beds. Newly redone kitchen with granite and stainless steel appliances. Large fenced very private backyard with orange and grapefruit trees which produced abundant fruit. It worked perfect for what we needed and if I had any suggestions would be to consider adding central air as there are window units only in main living area and master bedroom. No unit in second bedroom. This owner was very responsive and attentive and has obviously done everything he can with the house in order to make it up to date and comfortable."

"The house is well situated and a short walk to downtown and slightly longer walk to the main Venice Beach at the end of Venice Avenue. Nice pool with excellent heating system. Arrangement of rooms is excellent except for the fourth bedroom that has been converted from a carport. That bedroom has its own outside entrance and access to the master bathroom. However, to get to the living space and kitchen, the only inside route is through the master bathroom and then master bedroom. Not great. Two other bedrooms with shared bathroom are directly off the living space. Decor is typical for a rental house (which is not great), but beds and other furniture is relatively comfortable. Kitchen is small but adequate. Inside of the house was very clean, but needed general maintenance (loose toilet seats, etc.) Outside, the yard was a mess, but after a call to the company, the overgrowth and dropped leaves from trees were cleaned up immediately."

"The location of the Sandpiper House is awesome! It is a very quiet neighborhood and one walking minute to the beach! Downtown is super charming and the people very friendly. Enjoyed eating at the Daiquiri Deck and Sharky's...all within walking distance. Had fun looking for shark teeth! Even though the home is older, it is well maintained. The only downfall would be pet stains on the carpeting from previous renters. Would recommend getting them professionally cleaned. However, we would stay here again in the future! :)"
