"We stayed in this villa for the month of April. It was really better than it shows in the pictures. All the furniture and appliances were of top quality and easy to use. The patio was great for grilling. We had never been to Venice before but found the town and surrounding area a real treat to explore and experience. The location of this villa is perfect if you like to walk on the beach looking for shells or sharks teeth. The owners live very close by and could not have been more helpful. Overall it was a super place to spend a month."

  • A Little Slice of Heaven

"Our 2 months stay last year couldn't have been more perfect! This condo has magnificent skylights that greet you every morning. It is sparkling and very well maintained with high quality linens and a great washer & dryer. We really appreciated the over the top appliances, the 3 TV with cable and DVR as well as the wireless and a brand new refrig/freezer. I liked the position of the condo in the community as it was half way into the complex and away from the noise of the pool, yet had a view of the putting green. Can't wait to go back!! Venice has everything and Aldea Mar is within walking distance of it all. I am a biker and walker and the Intercoastal bike trail is one of the most beautiful bike trails in the country. Shopping, restaurants - Venice has it all and without the congestion of other parts of Florida. We have found that day trips to many parts of Florida are possible because of central location. We are always finding new restaurants and think that the value and quality are far better here than other parts of Florida. As far as we are concerned this is Florida's "hidden secret"."

  • Suitable for two couples

"We were two couples and stayed in this lovely home for three months. The house is large enough to afford privacy yet comfortably laid out for social evenings together. The neighborhood is charming; the grocery store is within easy walking distance, as are many shops and restaurants on Venice’s main avenue. The beach can also be reached via a short walk and was never over-crowded, even during high season. If you enjoy entertainment, there are concerts in the park every few days, a farmer’s market on Saturdays and many other fairs and festivals throughout the winter season. If you like nature, Venice is close to state parks and even has its own rookery as well as several botanical gardens. Béat was a gracious and accommodating host, never intrusive but always available."
