  • Lovely relaxing stay

"This was a true home from home with everything in the house one could ask for. We were there for our 25th wedding anniversry and liked the fact it was an 8 minute cycle ride to the beach at sharkys and 4 minutes to down town. Totally chilled out. Beautiful house, swimming pool was great and would definitely go back."

  • Great snowbird getaway!

"My husband and I have spent the last three winter seasons enjoying our snowbird getaway at this lovely home and we could not have been more happy with our choice. This bright and spacious home is exactly as described, and more. A very relaxing, comfortable home equipped with all that is needed for a long 3 months stay. Truly a home away from home. It is on a quiet street of well kept homes with very friendly neighbors. We always felt safe there. Regina and Perry, the owners, could not be nicer people. If there was an issue that needed to be addressed, and there were very few in the 3 seasons that we stayed, Regina and Perry always saw that it was promptly addressed. There is so much to see and do while in Venice and this home is in the perfect location to do it all. We enjoyed waking each morning to our walk into nearby Shamrock Park and continuing along the waterway trail, meeting and becoming friends with a few fellow walkers. There are many excellent restaurants in the area, as well as the Frank movie theatre for the few rainy days, and an ongoing schedule of events throughout the town. There are many miles of unspoiled beaches to go to, as well as the jetties to watch the surfers try their luck. My husband took advantage of the many public golf courses in the area and we even rented a boat a couple of times and "cruised" up and down the intercoastal seeing many dolphin along the way. We enjoyed attending the shows and cabarets that were held at the Venice Theatre, as well as visiting the Van Wezel in nearby Sarasota for their great shows. And we can't forget to mention the nearby baseball spring training games in nearby Port Charlotte and Sarasota that we love to attend. We always had something to do and we enjoyed every minute of it. We would definitely recommend this home for a great vacation."

  • AWESOME for our Anniversary/Vow Renewal Celebration

"We stayed at this beautiful home for a week and found it to be perfect! My husband and I were renewing our wedding vows on the beach for our 50th Anniversary. Most of our family were coming and we were hoping to find a place close to the beach that would be suitable for 12 people, ranging in age from 4 to 70. Tina was wonderful to work with and we rented the main house, which has 2 large master suites, and 1 side unit. The pictures are accurate and everything was clean and exceeded our expectations. We were able to spend a great deal of time at the private beach, but it is also close to downtown and the public beach, as well as Sharky's. All of us would be delighted to have the opportunity to stay here again and will recommend it to others. We spent a lot of time in this beautiful large pool, and cooked out on the grill poolside. I enjoyed the paintings around the pool also. Thank you, Tina and Bo for making our special trip a pleasure."

  • Suitable for two couples

"We were two couples and stayed in this lovely home for three months. The house is large enough to afford privacy yet comfortably laid out for social evenings together. The neighborhood is charming; the grocery store is within easy walking distance, as are many shops and restaurants on Venice’s main avenue. The beach can also be reached via a short walk and was never over-crowded, even during high season. If you enjoy entertainment, there are concerts in the park every few days, a farmer’s market on Saturdays and many other fairs and festivals throughout the winter season. If you like nature, Venice is close to state parks and even has its own rookery as well as several botanical gardens. Béat was a gracious and accommodating host, never intrusive but always available."

Venice Travel Tips

Venice Vacation Rentals for Beach Lovers

Southwest Florida has many vacation-worthy areas to offer beach lovers. Located in Sarasota County with a perfect year-round climate, Venice is one of the nicest spots in south Florida. And Venice vacation rentals, offering privacy, extra space and amenities, make a tropical getaway even nicer.

Venice Beaches

In addition to lovely beaches, Venice is known as the shark-tooth finding capital of Florida. More fossilized sharks teeth are found here than anywhere! The beaches in southwest Florida are numerous; if you are a beach-lover, make sure you allot plenty of time for exploring.

The longest and most secluded beach in Sarasota County is Casperson Beach, which has been left in its natural state rather than being commercialized. If you love to snorkel, the Venice Municipal Beach is the place to go, with a beautiful coral reef just one mile off shore. Just a short drive from the Municipal Beach, the Service Club Park offers a quiet beach with interesting boardwalks that span saw palmettos. For a great family beach, head over to Nokomis Beach, one of the quietest beaches in Venice, offering a boat launch and calm waters. The beach at South Jetty is a popular surf spot. Meanwhile, dog lovers will appreciate the friendliest dog park in the state: Brohard Paw Park on Harbor Drive South. Just up the coast are Tampa Bay's beaches.

Planning Your Venice Vacation—Southwest Florida Beach Rentals

When you start planning your vacation, look into Southwest Florida beach rentals, with extra amenities that make a vacation truly more enjoyable. Also look into Venice condos, another affordable option. Instead of renting a cramped hotel room, vacation in style! Venice vacation rentals provide features that hotels do not such as a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, or private pool, Jacuzzi, and personal chef service.
