"What a beautiful place to stay, a true home from home. Thank you Rod and June for letting us share your fantastic home. Lots to do in the surrounding area and suitable for all. We are already trying to book for next year!"

  • Great snowbird getaway!

"My husband and I have spent the last three winter seasons enjoying our snowbird getaway at this lovely home and we could not have been more happy with our choice. This bright and spacious home is exactly as described, and more. A very relaxing, comfortable home equipped with all that is needed for a long 3 months stay. Truly a home away from home. It is on a quiet street of well kept homes with very friendly neighbors. We always felt safe there. Regina and Perry, the owners, could not be nicer people. If there was an issue that needed to be addressed, and there were very few in the 3 seasons that we stayed, Regina and Perry always saw that it was promptly addressed. There is so much to see and do while in Venice and this home is in the perfect location to do it all. We enjoyed waking each morning to our walk into nearby Shamrock Park and continuing along the waterway trail, meeting and becoming friends with a few fellow walkers. There are many excellent restaurants in the area, as well as the Frank movie theatre for the few rainy days, and an ongoing schedule of events throughout the town. There are many miles of unspoiled beaches to go to, as well as the jetties to watch the surfers try their luck. My husband took advantage of the many public golf courses in the area and we even rented a boat a couple of times and "cruised" up and down the intercoastal seeing many dolphin along the way. We enjoyed attending the shows and cabarets that were held at the Venice Theatre, as well as visiting the Van Wezel in nearby Sarasota for their great shows. And we can't forget to mention the nearby baseball spring training games in nearby Port Charlotte and Sarasota that we love to attend. We always had something to do and we enjoyed every minute of it. We would definitely recommend this home for a great vacation."

  • A great condo.

"I just spent the month of May in this great condo. It's close to every thing in Venice. The beds were wonderful and the leather furniture was very nice. We walked from the pool onto the beach which we loved. Setting on the screened deck we watched the sailboats in the gulf. It was just a great stay all around. I would recommend this condo to any one wanting a relaxing getaway,"

  • Great home with a lot of space and luxury to make the stay unforgettable

"Congratulations to Sandy and Allan for their later retirement oasis. After the activities of a busy vacation day you return home and hop in the clean and refreshing pool which has enough space to do some strokes back and forth. The waterfall is a nice feature too. Jim and Steve from the pool service are nice guys and always have some chat with them when they come on Wednesday for cleaning. The landscape is well maintained by a separate service team and also the lawn is taken care for on a weekly base. Sandy and Allan are spending a lot for keeping everything beautiful and attractive. The house is located in a nice and quiet neughbourhood on a 18 hole golf course with excellent community center offering a junior Olympic sized pool, fitness center and tennis courts. Go for a seasonal membership and say Hello to lovely Membership Director Nicole. Back to the house. The master suite area is full of luxury with a lot of space. Of course, walk-in closets are mandatory. The bathroom has an open shower only separated by some glas. Absolutely thrilling are the golden faucets. Living room and dining room are very stylish equipped. Lovely. Kitchen is the center and the heart of the house. Everything is there. For your parties you will even find a wine refrigerator. Family room with exciting view over the pool area provides TV for the relaxing evenings. Two more bedrooms do offer further sleeps for up to a group of 5. When you have studied the listing carefully before your decision you will find everything what has been offered. So, perfect. The only thing what we have missed and we have told Sandy and Allan is the land line. Not that we wanted to call many others but we would not have known how to contact someone in case of an emergency. It is definitely a place where we would like to come again. It has always been a pleasure to communicate with Sandy. She took care for everything. We have been very happy in their home and we wish them a lot of joy for the time when they will move into. May be we should mention also that the place is also ideally situated close to shopping centers only 6 miles away. Nothing is missing there. Last but not least the reason to visit the place are the wonderful beaches close by with a lot of stunning sunsets at Sharkey's beach restaurant. Let's stop to get excited. Go there and make your own experience. Sandy and Allan are waiting for you! Thank you Sandy and Allan!"

Venice Travel Tips

Venice Vacation Rentals for Beach Lovers

Southwest Florida has many vacation-worthy areas to offer beach lovers. Located in Sarasota County with a perfect year-round climate, Venice is one of the nicest spots in south Florida. And Venice vacation rentals, offering privacy, extra space and amenities, make a tropical getaway even nicer.

Venice Beaches

In addition to lovely beaches, Venice is known as the shark-tooth finding capital of Florida. More fossilized sharks teeth are found here than anywhere! The beaches in southwest Florida are numerous; if you are a beach-lover, make sure you allot plenty of time for exploring.

The longest and most secluded beach in Sarasota County is Casperson Beach, which has been left in its natural state rather than being commercialized. If you love to snorkel, the Venice Municipal Beach is the place to go, with a beautiful coral reef just one mile off shore. Just a short drive from the Municipal Beach, the Service Club Park offers a quiet beach with interesting boardwalks that span saw palmettos. For a great family beach, head over to Nokomis Beach, one of the quietest beaches in Venice, offering a boat launch and calm waters. The beach at South Jetty is a popular surf spot. Meanwhile, dog lovers will appreciate the friendliest dog park in the state: Brohard Paw Park on Harbor Drive South. Just up the coast are Tampa Bay's beaches.

Planning Your Venice Vacation—Southwest Florida Beach Rentals

When you start planning your vacation, look into Southwest Florida beach rentals, with extra amenities that make a vacation truly more enjoyable. Also look into Venice condos, another affordable option. Instead of renting a cramped hotel room, vacation in style! Venice vacation rentals provide features that hotels do not such as a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, or private pool, Jacuzzi, and personal chef service.
