  • Our Winter Paradise

"This beautifully furnished condo was our instant dream home for the month of March. We 5 seniors (69-89) enjoyed every aspect of the condo, from the perfectly outfitted kitchen, the spacious living room and sunny balconies, the extremely comfortable beds and linens...the list goes on and on. This was our third visit to Bradenton and we much prefer being towards the mainland than stuck in traffic on Anna Maria Island and this is the best of both worlds. The narrow beach on Palma Sola Bay is a 1 minute walk and the swimming was calm and fine for those who didn't want to use the pool, but the big beach was only about a 3 minute drive. This was the best for long brisk walks early in the morning followed by a breakfast at the Holmes Beach restaurant right at the beach (eg. all you can eat pancakes!) We kayaked and explored different areas we hadn't had time to visit before, although we hesitated to use the bikes since we had not brought our helmets. Of course we golfed (badly) and played a little tennis at a nearby park. A favorite aspect of the area is the plentiful culture: Sarasota Opera, the Asolo Theatre, the good local Manatee Players in a lovely new theatre, special attractions at the Van Wezel - the list is truly endless. We enjoyed heading out for lunch and then cooking dinner in the spacious and very well equipped kitchen and then settling into the most comfortable funiture, including 3 recliners! Not many of us made it to the late night shows. Rachel could not be a more helpful owner, quickly responding to any questions or minor problems. Thanks so much, Rachel, for making our holiday from snow and cold about as perfect as it could be! We can't wait to come back!"

  • Perfect Rental for One or Two

"Very well kept property for one or two persons with a fantastic view of the water from the screened porch. This condo is very well outfitted for your comfort. The owner is great to deal with. There is a beach bar restaurant called Doc's just across the street as well as several other restaurants nearby. The sunset from the porch is gorgeous. This is the perfect rental for escaping the cold and dreariness of winter in New England."

  • Just like a Tropical Paradise....

"Thank-you for sharing your wonderful home. My husband and I met up with our daughter, son-in-law, and two little grandsons from Chicago for a memorable Christmas week! The pictures are exactly what the house looks like...beautiful. The location provided much solitude even though there is a very close neighbor. The tall shrubs planted between the homes allowed us great privacy in the pool area. The pool and spa were a highlight and used a lot. My husband spent a lot of time on the dock, fishing. He was able to catch (and release) quite a variety of fish including Oscar, Pinfish, Sheep'shead, Bluegill, and Alligator Gar. Of course there were also both saltwater and freshwater turtles who couldn't resist the bait and a young 4-5 ft. alligator. My daughter and I enjoyed our early morning times watching the "amazing sunrises". The inside of the home was not only lovely but well equipped. We enjoyed the kitchen and living room area which is adjacent to the lanai where everyone could be together comfortably. Yet the layout of the house also provided many spaces for being alone. After visiting several of the beaches we all voted on Boca Grande as our favorite. It was about a 20 min. drive. We had unbelievable weather with no rain and 80's almost every day which enhanced the experience tremendously. The "noseeum bugs" which were mentioned by the owner were vicious little guys and I ended up being their main target. Next time I definitely will use Deet spray! However even all our bites couldn't deter our experience. We're already dreaming about our next visit. Thanks again for allowing us to make wonderful Christmas memories."

  • Excellent place

"We had a wonderful time in Marco island. The apartment was very clean with everything you need including the bikes and beach stuff. Excellent location and very quiet area. Very convinient to walk down to the beach, plenty places to eat within a walking distance. We definitely recommend this place."

Venice Travel Tips

Venice Vacation Rentals for Beach Lovers

Southwest Florida has many vacation-worthy areas to offer beach lovers. Located in Sarasota County with a perfect year-round climate, Venice is one of the nicest spots in south Florida. And Venice vacation rentals, offering privacy, extra space and amenities, make a tropical getaway even nicer.

Venice Beaches

In addition to lovely beaches, Venice is known as the shark-tooth finding capital of Florida. More fossilized sharks teeth are found here than anywhere! The beaches in southwest Florida are numerous; if you are a beach-lover, make sure you allot plenty of time for exploring.

The longest and most secluded beach in Sarasota County is Casperson Beach, which has been left in its natural state rather than being commercialized. If you love to snorkel, the Venice Municipal Beach is the place to go, with a beautiful coral reef just one mile off shore. Just a short drive from the Municipal Beach, the Service Club Park offers a quiet beach with interesting boardwalks that span saw palmettos. For a great family beach, head over to Nokomis Beach, one of the quietest beaches in Venice, offering a boat launch and calm waters. The beach at South Jetty is a popular surf spot. Meanwhile, dog lovers will appreciate the friendliest dog park in the state: Brohard Paw Park on Harbor Drive South. Just up the coast are Tampa Bay's beaches.

Planning Your Venice Vacation—Southwest Florida Beach Rentals

When you start planning your vacation, look into Southwest Florida beach rentals, with extra amenities that make a vacation truly more enjoyable. Also look into Venice condos, another affordable option. Instead of renting a cramped hotel room, vacation in style! Venice vacation rentals provide features that hotels do not such as a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, or private pool, Jacuzzi, and personal chef service.
