  • Family Vacation 2013

"We just left South Venice from our family vacation at this Tranquil Lake Home and all we can say is WOW!! We traveled with 2, dare I say picky, teenage girls and from the minute we pulled in the driveway, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the oohs and awes from the girls. We heard 'This is a cool house!", "Awesome Pool!" and "Do we have to leave? We want to stay longer!!" Whew!! The house is truly amazing!! It was hard to leave the pool & the very tranquil view of the lake, but when we did venture out, the Ferry to the private beach was just minutes up the road and a quick boat ride to the beach. Venice Beach, Sharky's, Crow's Nest and the South Jetty at sunset were favorites too. Thank you Angie & Gary for making our family vacation such a memorable one. We truly felt at home the minute we walked in the door."

  • Quiet & relaxing!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The quiet and friendly neighbourhood was exactly what we were looking for. Lin & Gerry were very responsive to our needs and the villa was everything advertised and more! We highly recommend this vacation home and we hope to return again."

  • Paradise Found

"After 6 years of wintering in different condos in Naples and Venice, we are returning to the same condo next year. The condo has everything from new mattresses and blackout curtains (if you leave them open, you can see the beach) without being cluttered with lots of nick knacks! We are walkers and like the fact that we can walk into town, the library, art gallery and community centre as well as several restaurants and a theatre with live performances. There is free yoga (we usually tip a dollar or two), free concerts in the park (again a tip of a couple of dollars), free movies at the library. There are weekly lectures ($8) on international affairs given by former ambassadors, FBI agents, authors, etc. There is a live theatre in town that presents a variety of plays, singers, comedians, etc. There are several restaurants within walking distance. This year we saw manatees and dolphins at the jetty. Many parks teaming with animal life are a short distance away by car."

Venice Travel Tips

Venice Vacation Rentals for Beach Lovers

Southwest Florida has many vacation-worthy areas to offer beach lovers. Located in Sarasota County with a perfect year-round climate, Venice is one of the nicest spots in south Florida. And Venice vacation rentals, offering privacy, extra space and amenities, make a tropical getaway even nicer.

Venice Beaches

In addition to lovely beaches, Venice is known as the shark-tooth finding capital of Florida. More fossilized sharks teeth are found here than anywhere! The beaches in southwest Florida are numerous; if you are a beach-lover, make sure you allot plenty of time for exploring.

The longest and most secluded beach in Sarasota County is Casperson Beach, which has been left in its natural state rather than being commercialized. If you love to snorkel, the Venice Municipal Beach is the place to go, with a beautiful coral reef just one mile off shore. Just a short drive from the Municipal Beach, the Service Club Park offers a quiet beach with interesting boardwalks that span saw palmettos. For a great family beach, head over to Nokomis Beach, one of the quietest beaches in Venice, offering a boat launch and calm waters. The beach at South Jetty is a popular surf spot. Meanwhile, dog lovers will appreciate the friendliest dog park in the state: Brohard Paw Park on Harbor Drive South. Just up the coast are Tampa Bay's beaches.

Planning Your Venice Vacation—Southwest Florida Beach Rentals

When you start planning your vacation, look into Southwest Florida beach rentals, with extra amenities that make a vacation truly more enjoyable. Also look into Venice condos, another affordable option. Instead of renting a cramped hotel room, vacation in style! Venice vacation rentals provide features that hotels do not such as a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, or private pool, Jacuzzi, and personal chef service.
