  • lovely stay at Sea Oats

"We arrived early to our rental on gasparilla island but it was ready for us to move in for the week. We had a wonderful stay at Sea Oats. The condo was beautifully furnished with 2 lovely outdoor porches. The weather was perfect and we missed a horrible storm in the Philly area. Couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation, except to stay a little longer! We plan to return to the island, but unfortunately won't be able to stay at this lovely condo again because sea oats doesn't allow dogs."

  • A Great Vacation

"We (a group of seven persons, all 55+ years old) had a great week in Siesta Key, and the accommodations played no small part in the vacation. The house was very true to the pictures and descriptions available on the internet. The location was excellent (neighborhood was nice, beach was close, village was handy). The house provided our group wonderful space to gather together and/or spread out to read or work or whatever. Our week afforded us an opportunity to use the heat and also the a/c, and both worked well to provide a comfortable environment. The pool and hot tub were very nice, and the lanai was spacious. The deck from the main floor of the house, one story above the pool and inside the lanai, was a great place to read with pleasant fountain sounds in the background and no bugs to annoy the reader. The kitchen was big and bright and very serviceable, and the home was very clean. We were all very pleased with this house. Kim, the Owner, was very helpful; and I would recommend this property to other vacationers."

  • Truly Paradise!

"We had an amazing time! The house is wonderful! The pool was larger than we thought and the kids really enjoyed it! The beach is a very easy walkable distance even with a 3 year old! We enjoyed sun rises and sunsets! So many shells!! The wednesday farmer's market is a must. The weather was great! The house is perfectly set-up for fun. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of space for us. This is a great house for families! My kids loved seeing the burrowing owls that have nested in the neighborhood just like the book Hoot! Tom is a great host and gives great tips on activities and places to visit on Marco Island. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Everything about this place is amazing and we can't wait to go back! They book up quick so if your week is available do it!! You won't regret your choice!"

  • Awesome Vacation

"We would to thank the owners for reworking their schedules which allowed us to spend time on the island with family. The cottage was very inviting and comfortable. We brought our boat with us, so the dock was really nice! We were able to walk a few steps from the cottage to the boat and be in the Gulf within minutes! We didn't catch the "big one", but we had a wonderful time trying! We brought our dog, Carly, with us and she made herself at home! She had her bed in front of the sliders in the great room and was able to see everything that was going on. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Our kids and grandkids were down the road in a newer home with a pool. Needless to say they liked our cottage the best! The kids caught several fish from the dock. We sat around and played board games and even taught the two youngest how to play checkers! It was a wonderful time had by all...and we look forward to returning. We would like to thank the owners for the chocolate, fruit and flowers. They were very much appreciated! We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice quite place to vacation."

Venice Travel Tips

Venice Vacation Rentals for Beach Lovers

Southwest Florida has many vacation-worthy areas to offer beach lovers. Located in Sarasota County with a perfect year-round climate, Venice is one of the nicest spots in south Florida. And Venice vacation rentals, offering privacy, extra space and amenities, make a tropical getaway even nicer.

Venice Beaches

In addition to lovely beaches, Venice is known as the shark-tooth finding capital of Florida. More fossilized sharks teeth are found here than anywhere! The beaches in southwest Florida are numerous; if you are a beach-lover, make sure you allot plenty of time for exploring.

The longest and most secluded beach in Sarasota County is Casperson Beach, which has been left in its natural state rather than being commercialized. If you love to snorkel, the Venice Municipal Beach is the place to go, with a beautiful coral reef just one mile off shore. Just a short drive from the Municipal Beach, the Service Club Park offers a quiet beach with interesting boardwalks that span saw palmettos. For a great family beach, head over to Nokomis Beach, one of the quietest beaches in Venice, offering a boat launch and calm waters. The beach at South Jetty is a popular surf spot. Meanwhile, dog lovers will appreciate the friendliest dog park in the state: Brohard Paw Park on Harbor Drive South. Just up the coast are Tampa Bay's beaches.

Planning Your Venice Vacation—Southwest Florida Beach Rentals

When you start planning your vacation, look into Southwest Florida beach rentals, with extra amenities that make a vacation truly more enjoyable. Also look into Venice condos, another affordable option. Instead of renting a cramped hotel room, vacation in style! Venice vacation rentals provide features that hotels do not such as a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, or private pool, Jacuzzi, and personal chef service.
