  • We'll be back!!!

"I normally don't do reviews, but I wanted to do this one..... My family & I had the opportunity to spend 2 wonderful weeks in this lovely home. Warm & inviting, well-equipped & immaculate, with all the amenities one needs for whatever kind of stay you could want, it was truly a home, not a house. Ours was a more laid-back visit, enjoying the luxury of nighttime stargazing in the hot tub, card games in the lanai, backyard sun worshipping in the early mornings. Being on Venice Island, we were able to enjoy the incredible sunsets, taking advantage of the easy access to various beaches, & successfully carting home numerous shark tooth treasures. The restaurants, the shopping, the movies, the theater, are all within a short car ride, a bike ride, or a walk. We could not have asked for a more perfect stay, & you can be sure..... we'll be back!!!"

  • Chuck and Joyce from Maine

"When we opened the door of the condo, it looked like the pictures that were posted. It was comfortable and homey. The kitchen was easy to cook in as we ate almost all our meals there. We did go buy an orange juicer as it was such a treat to make fresh juice every morning. We enjoyed being so close to the Venice Beaches from the South Jetty to Caspersen Beach where we spent many hours raking for shark's teeth. We also enjoyed the farmers markets, the music at the Venice Beach pavalion, the the Rookery and the Lipazzan horses at their winter home in Myakka City.Thank you to the owners for their part in a wonderful Florida vacation away from snowy and frozen Maine"

"We enjoyed another stay at the Blue Door this year. We enjoyed once again the delightful accomodations provided here. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The sunsets at the beach are beautiful and always well attended by residents and other visitors. The neighborhood is peaceful and serene. Its a short walk to the beach in very lovely surroundings. We will visit again next year."

Venice Travel Tips

Venice Vacation Rentals for Beach Lovers

Southwest Florida has many vacation-worthy areas to offer beach lovers. Located in Sarasota County with a perfect year-round climate, Venice is one of the nicest spots in south Florida. And Venice vacation rentals, offering privacy, extra space and amenities, make a tropical getaway even nicer.

Venice Beaches

In addition to lovely beaches, Venice is known as the shark-tooth finding capital of Florida. More fossilized sharks teeth are found here than anywhere! The beaches in southwest Florida are numerous; if you are a beach-lover, make sure you allot plenty of time for exploring.

The longest and most secluded beach in Sarasota County is Casperson Beach, which has been left in its natural state rather than being commercialized. If you love to snorkel, the Venice Municipal Beach is the place to go, with a beautiful coral reef just one mile off shore. Just a short drive from the Municipal Beach, the Service Club Park offers a quiet beach with interesting boardwalks that span saw palmettos. For a great family beach, head over to Nokomis Beach, one of the quietest beaches in Venice, offering a boat launch and calm waters. The beach at South Jetty is a popular surf spot. Meanwhile, dog lovers will appreciate the friendliest dog park in the state: Brohard Paw Park on Harbor Drive South. Just up the coast are Tampa Bay's beaches.

Planning Your Venice Vacation—Southwest Florida Beach Rentals

When you start planning your vacation, look into Southwest Florida beach rentals, with extra amenities that make a vacation truly more enjoyable. Also look into Venice condos, another affordable option. Instead of renting a cramped hotel room, vacation in style! Venice vacation rentals provide features that hotels do not such as a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, or private pool, Jacuzzi, and personal chef service.
