  • Florida Fishing Trip

"I needed a place to stay that was close to Palmetto because my buddy, his son and my daughter were planning on fishing for 3 to 4 days. The house was only 15 minutes from the marina, 15 minutes from some very nice beaches, very clean, and fit our needs perfectly. The outdoor grill was a big plus as we used it several times to grill the fish we caught. The house is also located just minutes away from restarurants, grocery stores, Walgreens, etc so it you need to get something quickly you are well located."

  • Sisters Retreat

"We had a great time at the condo and Siesta Key. The condo is clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. The view is great from both bedroom and the main area. When you wake up the first thing you see is the ocean without even getting out of bed. Everything you need is in the kitchen plus more. The owner is great to work with. You can walk to point of rocks but I suggest wearing shoes. On Sundays they have a great downtown (Siesta Key) market set up. A great place to get fresh fruits and vegetables plus. We finished off our week with a sailing trip (Siesta Key Sailing) and it was the perfect ending of a great vacation. Did I mention the spectacular Sunsets right at the condo. Also the dolphins come through first thing in the morning and between 6 and 6:30pm each night, again right in front of the condo. Location Location Location EXCELLANT We will be back next year. Thank You"

  • My November 2013 stay at the Riptide.

"Hi, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Riptide. The room was nicely decorated and had everything I needed in the kitchen and bathroom. It was comfy and quiet. The bed was comfortable, too. There was parking for my car and I took day trips as I wished. I liked that the beach was just across the street and restaurants/shops were just a few blocks away but the Riptide is located in a quieter, less busy section of the island which I also liked. It also has a canal at it's back and a deck, too... a good place to go to read a book or talk or barbecue. I'd go back there again."

  • 8 days in paradise - both this house and Siesta Key Beach

"Returned today from an 8 day vacation in this wonderful home. From the moment we opened the door, we knew we had made a good decision. It was even prettier in person than the pictures. Linda, the owner, was very easy and prompt to communicate with. She provided everything we needed to know for our stay. The home was very clean and well taken care of, the beds were comfortable, and there were many thoughtful touches (such as little things you might have forgot to pack). The home is mid-century modern in design and decor which we loved. There were glass "walls" (many sliding glass doors) from 3 angles for viewing the pool which was so pretty and refreshing. It stayed immaculate with the vacuum system. Nice tin-roof covered table/chairs to the side for outdoor dining and several poolside lounge chairs beneath ceiling fans. Kitchen well stocked with kitchenware. Ceiling fans throughout the home, nice TVs in all bedrooms and living room, plenty of towels (beach and bath), washer/dryer, pool toys - Linda has thought of everything. The house was in a great location and easy to get to shopping, restaurants, Tamiami Trail, and Siesta Key Beach. We traveled with dogs and the house was very dog friendly - no carpet! Met the housekeeper as we were leaving and she was very friendly and nice. Just can't say enough good things about our stay. Definitely would stay at this home again - in fact we hope our 2015 vacation is the same place, same house, and same time next year. Some of the restaurants we tried and would recommend include Lobster Pot in Siesta Key Village, Crabby Bills in St. Pete (a short drive), J.R.'s Old Packing House, Walts (live outdoor entertainment), and Star Fish Co. on Anna Maria Island. Siesta Key Beach has beautiful sand and water. Hated to leave but certainly plan to return"

Venice Travel Tips

Venice Vacation Rentals for Beach Lovers

Southwest Florida has many vacation-worthy areas to offer beach lovers. Located in Sarasota County with a perfect year-round climate, Venice is one of the nicest spots in south Florida. And Venice vacation rentals, offering privacy, extra space and amenities, make a tropical getaway even nicer.

Venice Beaches

In addition to lovely beaches, Venice is known as the shark-tooth finding capital of Florida. More fossilized sharks teeth are found here than anywhere! The beaches in southwest Florida are numerous; if you are a beach-lover, make sure you allot plenty of time for exploring.

The longest and most secluded beach in Sarasota County is Casperson Beach, which has been left in its natural state rather than being commercialized. If you love to snorkel, the Venice Municipal Beach is the place to go, with a beautiful coral reef just one mile off shore. Just a short drive from the Municipal Beach, the Service Club Park offers a quiet beach with interesting boardwalks that span saw palmettos. For a great family beach, head over to Nokomis Beach, one of the quietest beaches in Venice, offering a boat launch and calm waters. The beach at South Jetty is a popular surf spot. Meanwhile, dog lovers will appreciate the friendliest dog park in the state: Brohard Paw Park on Harbor Drive South. Just up the coast are Tampa Bay's beaches.

Planning Your Venice Vacation—Southwest Florida Beach Rentals

When you start planning your vacation, look into Southwest Florida beach rentals, with extra amenities that make a vacation truly more enjoyable. Also look into Venice condos, another affordable option. Instead of renting a cramped hotel room, vacation in style! Venice vacation rentals provide features that hotels do not such as a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, or private pool, Jacuzzi, and personal chef service.
