  • Great home base for Naples vacation

"This tastefully furnished and decorated vacation home is the perfect retreat and base of operations for a Naples vacation. We found it exactly as represented in the photos, super-clean and maintained to a very high standard. It's located in a quiet and secure gated community, within a short drive of stores, north side beaches and downtown Naples. The owners are well-organized and very accommodating. What a treat to have our own pool and covered lanai. There's even a grand piano!"

  • Gulf Coast Paradise!

"Beautiful 3 bed/2 bath townhouse right on the gulf! Perfect for our family of 5. Path thru grape bushes is directly in front of the unit, which sits maybe 100 yds. from the waters edge. Deep, flat, clean beach with no debris while we were there. Pictures show it perfectly. Clean & well maintained home, modern appliances, ice maker makes enough ice for your drinks and beach cooler each day! Everything you need including a Weber grill on lower deck. Enough linens and beach and bath towels for the whole family. All we had to bring were our clothes (and board and card games!) and buy groceries at the Publix 7 miles away. The Publix is off the island, right on the way to the island, so if you have enough room in your car (we didn't) you can shop before arriving and save a $6 toll. Gulf to Bay Sotheby's International Realty was fantastic to work with, even took my call on the Sat. we moved in! They allowed us to check in a little early, recommended a fishing charter (Capt. Shannon is awesome!), and even found and mailed back to us one of my daughters necklaces she left. It's the slow time of the season (which we love), so the beaches are not crowded (some days we wouldn't see 10 other people as far up and down as we could see). Some of the restaurants are closed, but the ones that are open are great. We especially like Loose Caboose and South Beach for lunch. This was our 2nd trip to Boca Grande and this unit's location is perfect. Walking distance to town, mile and a half jog to the Lighthouse for exercise and right next to Range Light State Park. We hope to be back soon! You'll love this place."

  • A great place to stay in Sarasota.

"Even nicer than the pictures. The pool was nice and warm even at night in December. This was our 4th trip to Sarasota, and this is our favorite place to stay so far."

  • Exceptional, Outstanding, one of a kind. We will be back again next year

"Hi, This is our second year staying at this house. The first time it was just the two of us and we loved it. This last time in July we had a blast and it was: Hubby and I, Older Daughter, husband and 4 kids, and Younger Daughter, husband and 2 kids. This house accomondated us very nicely. The older grandkids, the Big 3 as I call them, claimed the upstairs all to themselves. It is nicely laid out with two bedrooms, a shared bath. Of course we had the Master and each of the Daughters took one of the queen rooms. The babies, all under 16 months, slept in their parents rooms. The house is exactly as it is pictured, open, bright, airy, and well maintained. Lots of places to sit and relax and just enjoy vacation. The beds are comfortable, plenty of Tv's and the Master Bath is just super. Lots of closet space and tons of towels to use while you are there. Bikes and fishing gear in the garage. Each time we have visited there we always straighten out the garage, so many nice folks leave behind a beach chair, a cooler or an extra float so that the next tenant doesn't have to buy these. The house is a mile from Residents Beach, a nice stroll in the evening. We have been staying at Marco Island twice a year for 8 years now, and we have never had a bad experience. We always do our homework the year before we go to check out the house we hope to rent, have a dialog with the owners, and over the years we have developed some nice relationships with owners we have rented from. We always treat the houses like they were our home and we try to leave a little something extra to add to the house when we leave. Trust me when I say that this owner is just super, she is one of a kind, always available for questions and ready to give advice about the Island. The Big 3 grandkids fished off the back of the house. The Little 3 grandkids spent their afternoons on the patio, we had purchased a little blow up swimming pool and put it there. We ate at home mostly during this trip because going out with 3 babies is a recipe for disaster. However we did take the Big 3 to Snook Inn for their Friday Buffet, loved it as always. And we also took the Big 3 to Captain Mike's Fins and Grins Fishing in Goodland, he is just so super. We saw dolphins, turtles, stingray and a hammer head shark. Members of the family also went to the Marco Putt Putt Golf and the one in Naples as well. Oh and Hubby and one of the Son in Laws went Golfing over in Naples one day."

Venice Travel Tips

Venice Vacation Rentals for Beach Lovers

Southwest Florida has many vacation-worthy areas to offer beach lovers. Located in Sarasota County with a perfect year-round climate, Venice is one of the nicest spots in south Florida. And Venice vacation rentals, offering privacy, extra space and amenities, make a tropical getaway even nicer.

Venice Beaches

In addition to lovely beaches, Venice is known as the shark-tooth finding capital of Florida. More fossilized sharks teeth are found here than anywhere! The beaches in southwest Florida are numerous; if you are a beach-lover, make sure you allot plenty of time for exploring.

The longest and most secluded beach in Sarasota County is Casperson Beach, which has been left in its natural state rather than being commercialized. If you love to snorkel, the Venice Municipal Beach is the place to go, with a beautiful coral reef just one mile off shore. Just a short drive from the Municipal Beach, the Service Club Park offers a quiet beach with interesting boardwalks that span saw palmettos. For a great family beach, head over to Nokomis Beach, one of the quietest beaches in Venice, offering a boat launch and calm waters. The beach at South Jetty is a popular surf spot. Meanwhile, dog lovers will appreciate the friendliest dog park in the state: Brohard Paw Park on Harbor Drive South. Just up the coast are Tampa Bay's beaches.

Planning Your Venice Vacation—Southwest Florida Beach Rentals

When you start planning your vacation, look into Southwest Florida beach rentals, with extra amenities that make a vacation truly more enjoyable. Also look into Venice condos, another affordable option. Instead of renting a cramped hotel room, vacation in style! Venice vacation rentals provide features that hotels do not such as a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, or private pool, Jacuzzi, and personal chef service.
