  • Villa 2

"We absolutely loved our stay there and couldnt have asked for a better experience. The condo was clean and updated - definitely not one of those places that looks like its falling apart. Updated kitchen appliances/laundry and large closets. It really had everything we could ask for! The beach was a super short walk across the parking lot. Weve already told family and friends to stay there when they take their annual trips to fl and fully intend to be back ourselves!"

  • Fantastic Vacation

"I have to echo all the great reviews written here. We had such a wonderful time on our vacation to Anna Maria Island. This condo is exactly as represented - a 2 min. walk to the beach and stores. The pool is awesome and we had it to ourselves the whole time. The inside of the condo is very modern and has everything you need. The added bonus was beach chairs, bikes, toys and towels; we didn't have to bring anything. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!"

  • XMAS IN PARADISE

"Extended family vacation to Anna Maria Island for Christmas. Weather was perfect. Worried about temperatures on our first visit to area but highs in mid 80s meant perfect beach weather. House was as pictured. Very homey. Beautifully decorated with personal flair. Extremely comfortable sleeping arrangements for 10. Plenty of bathrooms and TVs for the one rainy day. Convenient and easy walk to beach for multiple trips during the day...great beach gear cart and everything you could ask for equipmentwise including 5 bikes. Easy access to great local restaurants. Issue free house as fully equipped as i would keep my own house or more."

  • Wonderful home for family gathering.

"Our family decided to try something different for Christmas, a get away. We rented this lovely home on Marco island, where it would be warmer and near the beach. From the start it was the best experience I have had renting on VRBO. The owners were prompt and answered all my questions. The house has a dated decor which I knew from the pics. However it was clean, comfortable, spacious and perfect for our holiday gathering. I loved the open concept with the spacious sun/dinning room, living room and kitchen that allowed us all to be together. Yet there were small seating areas that allowed for quiet conversations. We had 2 dogs and 8 people staying there ranging from 4 yo to 82 yo and never once did we feel crowded! The heated pool and Lanai were great. My 4yo granddaughter spent 5 hours straight, in the pool, only getting out to use the restroom, then right back in! We gathered there in the afternoons to enjoy each other and the sunsets. We loved having our morning coffee on the Lanai. The views of the canal were relaxing and peaceful. The master bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone else enjoyed their rooms too. We loved how close Publix was to the house for our shopping needs. The location makes for easy access to anywhere you want to go on the island or off. On a few occasions during our stay, we called the owners with questions. Never once did they seem to mind, even though it was during the holidays. They always got right back to us and were most helpful. It almost felt like we were renting from our friends. The house came equipped with bicycles, which did not get used as often as we thought, but it was wonderful having them. We had a wonderful Christmas vacation at this home away from home. The fact that we could bring our 2 little fur babies with us, meant that no one in our family was left out of the fun! I would highly recommend a visit to this comfortable and spacious home. The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. I would love to have the opportunity to come back again and pray that it is in my future!"

Florida South West Travel Tips

Southwest Florida's Natural Wonderland

To some people, Southwest Florida still seems somewhat wild. With the many reserves, island coves and large everglades area, it's a region dedicated to nature conservation and a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Because of the large wetland areas, many visitors to Southwest Florida vacation rentals are enthusiastic birders who will tell you there's no better way to spend a vacation than to have the pleasure of watching feathered friends go about their daily life. The area also attracts a great number of fishermen and is reputed to have the best backwater fishing in the state. The extensive network of bays, mangroves and tidal creeks make the area a fishing haven that can be enjoyed in every season.

The Benefits of Staying in Southwest Florida Vacation Rentals

Because of the many attractions in Southwest Florida, staying at a vacation home in the area allows you a great deal of flexibility. You have ample space to store your fishing tackle, bicycles or other sports equipment that you've brought along on your vacation. Ranging from Fort Myers condos and apartments to large Naples beachfront homes, vacation rentals are an affordable way to stay a little longer without blowing your vacation budget. The nice thing about vacation rentals is that you can come and go as you please. There are no set meal times and you have privacy equivalent to being in your own home.

Miles of Beautiful Beaches to Explore

Southwest Florida has a spectacularly beautiful coastline. Sandy white beaches overlook the deep blue waters of the gulf and that in itself is attraction enough. Many Southwest Florida beach rentals offer spectacular views. Many have terraces or decks where you can sit out and watch the waves gently lapping on the shoreline. Occasionally, you may be fortunate to spot a pod of dolphins swimming by. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach or have a giggle building sandcastles with the kids.

Summer Explorations in Southwest Florida

Join one of the many organized tour operators in the area on a wildlife excursion. Here, you can come face to face with alligators, bison and a range of other wildlife. Most of these tours operate in the Everglades, a large swamp area that is a wildlife sanctuary. You can join a kayaking or boat trip where you can see dolphins, manatees and rays. If you prefer to do your own thing, you can rent a boat or bicycle to do some exploring. Be sure to have a map of the area and know where you are going. The many channels can get confusing if you venture too far out on your own. Because of the warm climate, golf is a popular pastime for Florida vacations and the southwest is no exception. There are many top quality championship golf courses to choose from. If you are the only golfer in your family, a quick call to the golf club will see you set up with a four ball according to your handicap in no time so that you can enjoy a day out on the greens.

Getting to Southwest Florida

Southwest Florida incorporates the counties of Collier, Lee and Charlotte. The three major cities are Port Charlotte, Fort Meyers and Naples. Southwest Florida International Airport is just outside of Ft. Meyers, three miles off the Interstate 75. This provides easy access to the Everglades, Charlotte Harbor condos and the Gulf Islands. When you stay in Southwest Florida lodging, it's nice to have a vehicle to get around. If you are not driving to the area from home, you can hire a car or use the local bus transportation system to visit the various sights.
