  • Breathtaking Views!

"Absolutely beautiful! Property was very clean, high end finishes and had anything my family could have wanted for playing on the beach! My husband and I stayed with our 4 children and had more than enough room. The kids didn't want to leave! We will definitely return."

  • Completely incredible

"I cannot even begin to express in words how perfect this vacation was for me at Isla Del Sol. I have been coming to this area of St Pete Beach for the past 25 years and have loved it as a home! I was unable to stay in the condo I usually stay at due to renovations but it could not have worked out any better. I met Gerry (the owner) through VRBO and it was the most easy booking I have ever done. I was a bit hesitant at first to do any booking over an online forum but I was quickly assured of the legitimacy and safety of my payment and booking by the friendliness and personality of the owner. He immediately contacted me through email and even called me personally so we could have an actual conversation about the condo and the area. He was very accommodating to my schedule despite the time zone difference and made sure to remain in contact with me throughout the stay. I was impressed even before I got to the condo! Once I arrived...my jaw dropped. The condo is even more pristine and beautiful than the pictures show. Everything is practically brand new, modern, and comfortable - all KEY on vacation! You have everything anyone could ever need in the condo for yours to use, including brand new high-end appliances and linens. There is also wifi which has perfect signal which was key for me to use for email and messaging since I didn't want to activate my phone in the US. I had travelled alone but there was more than enough room and even amenities for at least a family of 5-6 to live comfortably. I have to admit my favourite place in the entire condo was the balcony - WOW - I felt spoiled as the typical condo I stay at is on the golf course and so the ability to eat my breakfast in the morning on the patio over the bay was something I took advantage of every single morning. I realize one reviewer before me had mentioned the bug spraying as 'annoying' but just to clarify, this is something completely out of the owner's control and native to any condo in the complex of isla. I would recommend this condo to anyone wanting to escape to paradise for a comfortable (and spoiled) vacation at a very reasonable price. I felt like home and now would rather go to this condo than the family place I stay at on the other side of the road! Thank you so much for your great hospitality Gerry!"

  • Perfect condo for beach time relaxation

"This condo is situated perfectly away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to restaurants and bars, and even a Publix to make dinner plans or planning dinner in, a breeze. The bedroom is nicely updated. A few of the furnishings could be more modern, but everything was clean, in working order, and the layout provide great space. The hurricane shutters are AWESOME for sleeping in!! I highly recommend using them! Dussy was so great to work with a super nice. We had only one small issue the entire time we were there and she personally made a trip to the store to make it right. There is not a balcony on this unit itself, but you are one short flight of stairs away from ground level and there are picnic tables and chairs available to guest use. The beach is pristine. The sunsets are heartstoppingly gorgeous! And you can watch them from the recliner in the living room! Parking was never an issue. I highly recommend eating at Sloppy Joe's! The margaritas are strong and the size of your head. If you are looking for a well-priced, comfortable, beach-front condo for you and your significant other's next vacation, rent this unit. You won't be disappointed."

  • Calypso condo

"The unit was very nice and clean. The elevators on the west wing where the unit is located (6th floor) were in good shape and fast. The convenience with Pier Park being close by along with Target, Walmart, and many restaurants is great.. Denise was great to work with."

Florida Travel Tips

Beach-laden Florida is the perfect destination for anyone who is looking for a sunny escape. There’s plenty for everyone here - check out some of the top areas and attractions across the state:

The Panhandle

Florida’s panhandle, also known as the Emerald Coast, borders the Gulf of Mexico and is known for its resorts, beaches and natural beauty of the Gulf Coast National Seashore. Here are some of the best things to do by area:

- Pensacola: Lay out on the perfect white beaches, check out military history at the National Naval Aviation Museum and take a stroll through the historic district.

- Panama City: Panama City Beach Spring Break is the major draw for co-eds every year. It gets pretty wild, so if you’re planning a family vacation, you might want to come at a more relaxed time of year.

- Destin: Go kayaking or hiking in the stunning Grayton Beach State Park, lay out on the bone-white beaches of Henderson Beach State Park and see history at Fort Pickens.

Orlando Area

Though inland, Orlando is the entertainment capital of Florida and perhaps the theme park capital of the U.S.

- Visit all of the sites at Disney World - the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and water parks Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

- Young children will love to see their favorite characters and movies come to life at Universal Studios and older kids will appreciate the Harry Potter and Marvel-themed attractions at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

- Check out Seaworld and then cool off at its Aquatica Waterpark, or swim with the dolphins and snorkel at Discovery Cove.

- Don’t miss a visit to the Kennedy Space Center as well!

Northeastern Florida

The biggest draw here is the Daytona 500, the creme de la creme of NASCAR races, held here every February since 1959. The Jacksonville Jazz Festival, further north, is held in downtown Jacksonville every May with the biggest names in Jazz from around the world.

Southeast Florida

Southeastern Florida

- including Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Vero Beach - has a rich cultural heritage and fabulous beaches.

- South Beach in Miami Beach is a contender for Florida’s biggest party spot- it’s the place to be and be seen. For more of a family experience, visit the Miami Zoo, learn about the interesting history of Coral Castle and immerse yourself in nature at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Villa Vizcaya. Don’t miss Carnaval in early March! It features Cuba cultural traditions, parades, excellent food and the Calle Ocho Music Festival.

- Fort Lauderdale and Vero Beach are the go-to family destinations in the area. Fort Lauderdale hosts WinterFest in early December every year with a decorated boat parade - it’s a must-see.

Southwest Region

Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples in southwestern Florida are nearly always sunny. They are quieter destinations on the Gulf of Mexico and the Caloosahatchee River, with many opportunities to see local wildlife and visit nearby islands like Sanibel and Marco Islands. Visit Manatee Park to see these gentle endangered giants or venture further south and take a guided tour into the expansive Everglades. Head south to Hemingway’s refuge in Key West or explore the other tropical-like Florida Keys.

Tampa Bay Area

The Tampa Bay Area has plenty to see and do.

- Visit the Florida Strawberry Festival in nearby Plant City, held every February and March, and check out Florida’s State Fair in February in the city of Tampa.

- Head to the beaches in Clearwater Beach, Venice and St. Petersburg - all fabulous and fairly quiet.

- Take a drive inland to Winter Haven to visit Legoland Florida - the largest of this amusement park chain in the world.

- Take the family to Busch Gardens for more fun than you can imagine.

- Visit the Renaissance Festival in Tampa for a unique experience. It’s held every year from February to April.
