  • Having a Sand-sational Time

"This Condo was absolutely BEAUTIFUL && CLEAN . Our family had such a great time at Tropic Winds. It was very hard for our family to find a condo on the beach that had at least 3 queen beds in each room, this place was like a diamond in the ruff. After searching for hours on end finally came across this condo with 3 KING BEDS, at a very reasonable price for all that was included. LOVED having the FREE WIFI & BEACH CHAIR SERVICE , (we went to Gulf Shores in years past and they charge up to $35 per day to rent chairs), Also in the room was 4 ADDITIONAL beach chairs, a couple boogie boards, and towels to take down to beach or pool as well, and traveling from OHIO that was GREAT not having to pack that in the car. The condo was very clean upon first entering and carried throughout each room it was a Fantastic view from the balcony && the patio furniture was great as well. Also, to was a pleasure dealing with the condo owners Linda and Steve, I had called them several times throughout booking process, and every time they answered the call and were very helpful. && Once settled in our new home for the week one of the bedroom doors did not close properly I called steve and it was addressed and fix the next day. && The water pressure and temperature when taking showers was top of the line could not hardly believe it when all 3 bathrooms were being used :) Some of the places our family went to included Pier Park (out door shopping maybe 2 to 5 mins away), then, to the Bay Point Marina with Captain Lorraine for Dolphin & Snorkel Tours (about 15 minutes away) up to 6 people can fit on her boat and she was absolutely wonderful, Alvins Gift store is within walking distance of the condo visited there several times ;) . . . We really enjoyed the night life of the bar and grill at pier park called Tootsies (great country band the night we went) , a little further down the road we also found this excellent sea food joint called Schooners and they also had a band the night we went and they were just as good and they also had a beach access and set off a cannon at sunset which was neat. Overall this was the best experience Renting a Condo I've ever had Linda and Steve do a wonderful job. A few things that were kind of confusing is the paper work for where to park the cars. You get 2 parking spots but it did not say what floor to park on so be sure to ask if you do not understand what was sent, you do not want to be towed. Hope this is helpful :)"

  • Great Vacation!

""Villa by the Sea" made our vacation comfortable, convenient and fun! Our family of five adults had more than enough space in this clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated condo. We enjoyed the flatscreen tv in the spacious living room and we loved having breakfast on the balcony patio was in the mornings. There is a nice view of the ocean and colorful beach houses from the balcony. The walk to the beach was very pleasant and short; the beach was spectacular and not at all crowded. The sand is soft and white and the water emerald green and very clear. Parking was right at the entrance of the condo and just a few steps to the elevator for loading and unloading the car. The manager I worked with was the best and always answered right away if I had questions. There are small specialty shops within walking distance including restuarants and markets. Bike paths make it safe and easy to bicycle to nearby Seaside or Watercolor. We had a nice shopping excursion to the Outlet Mall near Destin, approximately 20 minutes away. Thank you to the owner and his beautiful family for providing such a lovely, spacious home for my family's vacation!"

  • Great location and Fabulous Condo

"I rented this condo over Labor Day weekend. Since the Omni now owns Amelia Island Plantation it was a busy weekend but that's great for the economic. Everyone enjoyed the lounge and bar to listen to Gary play and watch football too. This condo was in a great location; easy access to the beach during the day and the Omni sometimes in the evening. I loved the pool area. It was very private & you had some shade too. Extremely nice condo. Glenn was very easy to deal with. Very prompt to respond to emails about all of the logistics. I will definitely rent this unit again. Lots of Fun and FABULOUS time."

Florida Travel Tips

Beach-laden Florida is the perfect destination for anyone who is looking for a sunny escape. There’s plenty for everyone here - check out some of the top areas and attractions across the state:

The Panhandle

Florida’s panhandle, also known as the Emerald Coast, borders the Gulf of Mexico and is known for its resorts, beaches and natural beauty of the Gulf Coast National Seashore. Here are some of the best things to do by area:

- Pensacola: Lay out on the perfect white beaches, check out military history at the National Naval Aviation Museum and take a stroll through the historic district.

- Panama City: Panama City Beach Spring Break is the major draw for co-eds every year. It gets pretty wild, so if you’re planning a family vacation, you might want to come at a more relaxed time of year.

- Destin: Go kayaking or hiking in the stunning Grayton Beach State Park, lay out on the bone-white beaches of Henderson Beach State Park and see history at Fort Pickens.

Orlando Area

Though inland, Orlando is the entertainment capital of Florida and perhaps the theme park capital of the U.S.

- Visit all of the sites at Disney World - the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and water parks Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

- Young children will love to see their favorite characters and movies come to life at Universal Studios and older kids will appreciate the Harry Potter and Marvel-themed attractions at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

- Check out Seaworld and then cool off at its Aquatica Waterpark, or swim with the dolphins and snorkel at Discovery Cove.

- Don’t miss a visit to the Kennedy Space Center as well!

Northeastern Florida

The biggest draw here is the Daytona 500, the creme de la creme of NASCAR races, held here every February since 1959. The Jacksonville Jazz Festival, further north, is held in downtown Jacksonville every May with the biggest names in Jazz from around the world.

Southeast Florida

Southeastern Florida

- including Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Vero Beach - has a rich cultural heritage and fabulous beaches.

- South Beach in Miami Beach is a contender for Florida’s biggest party spot- it’s the place to be and be seen. For more of a family experience, visit the Miami Zoo, learn about the interesting history of Coral Castle and immerse yourself in nature at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Villa Vizcaya. Don’t miss Carnaval in early March! It features Cuba cultural traditions, parades, excellent food and the Calle Ocho Music Festival.

- Fort Lauderdale and Vero Beach are the go-to family destinations in the area. Fort Lauderdale hosts WinterFest in early December every year with a decorated boat parade - it’s a must-see.

Southwest Region

Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples in southwestern Florida are nearly always sunny. They are quieter destinations on the Gulf of Mexico and the Caloosahatchee River, with many opportunities to see local wildlife and visit nearby islands like Sanibel and Marco Islands. Visit Manatee Park to see these gentle endangered giants or venture further south and take a guided tour into the expansive Everglades. Head south to Hemingway’s refuge in Key West or explore the other tropical-like Florida Keys.

Tampa Bay Area

The Tampa Bay Area has plenty to see and do.

- Visit the Florida Strawberry Festival in nearby Plant City, held every February and March, and check out Florida’s State Fair in February in the city of Tampa.

- Head to the beaches in Clearwater Beach, Venice and St. Petersburg - all fabulous and fairly quiet.

- Take a drive inland to Winter Haven to visit Legoland Florida - the largest of this amusement park chain in the world.

- Take the family to Busch Gardens for more fun than you can imagine.

- Visit the Renaissance Festival in Tampa for a unique experience. It’s held every year from February to April.
