  • Best value on the lake!! Having the pontoon boat included makes this home an excellent choice.

"My family and our King Charles spaniel Mango enjoyed a week at the lake and enjoyed ever minute of it. Fishing and swimming from the dock, taking the boat to Jackson's for dinner, boating to goat island, nightly fire pit roasting marshmallows, playing corn hole, and enjoying morning coffee from the very peaceful porch. Bonuses pet friendly and pontoon boat."

  • Excellent visit to Great Waters Gold Cottage at Reynolds Plantation!

"Today is our last day of our visit here...and i couldn't wait to write the review. The owner was very helpful and gracious in planning our trip. The house is extremely comfortable, well-appointed, and located in a very lovely area of Reynolds Plantation. Our backyard is the 9th hole of the gold course, and we had a two minute walk to the smaller pool and lake. The larger pool was a two minute drive (one could walk easily but my kids are lazy!). We have probably stayed in over 10 VRBO listings, and I would rank this property right at the top! We plan on returning at the end of the year to enjoy the cool weather, fireplace and relaxation that is everywhere."

Metro Atlanta, Central & Southern Travel Tips

Get Away to Georgia Vacation Rentals

For a refreshing away-from-the-rat-race vacation, central southern Georgia is hard to beat. It is very easy to access, has warm sunny days for most of the year, and the beautiful natural scenery just begs to be explored and enjoyed. Renting a comfortable Pine Mountain log cabin or Lake Sinclair vacation rental in Georgia is the perfect escape for a weekend or longer, allowing visitors to completely relax and recharge their batteries.

Choosing Your Georgia Lodging

A log cabin or vacation home gives plenty of flexibility in both size and location. Choose a quiet retreat where you will not be disturbed by noisy neighbors in the next hotel room. Vacation rentals come in all sizes to suit couples, families or groups of friends on a budget sharing the accommodation. Set in popular locations for exploring the area, vacation homes have all the extras such as a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor sitting area, books, games and more than one TV. They are ideal for those who want to prepare their own meals and follow their own timetable, getting up and eating when they choose to.

Things to do From Georgia Vacation Rentals

Southern central Georgia has plenty of historical and architectural sites for history-lovers to enjoy. There are many old homes and mansions, such as the Old Governor’s Mansion in Milledgeville which was home to 10 Georgian governors and became Sherman’s headquarters during the Civil War. History-lovers will also enjoy a trip to Meadow Gardens in Augusta, the former home of George Walton, the youngest signatory on the Declaration of Independence. The area has many theaters and arts venues, including the Douglass Theater at Macon. Visit the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia on the outskirts of Athens or simply head out on an adventure of your own in the Oconee National Forest.

Kayaking, boating, waterskiing, wildlife viewing, fishing, rock climbing, biking, swimming and plenty of golf courses are all close to your Georgia lodging.

Getting to Central Southern Georgia

The Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Museum of Aviation and the Harriet Tubman Museum of African-American Art and History offer a varied choice of things to see.

Athens is home to the University of Georgia, rock groups REM and B-52 and, consequently has a thriving entertainment scene.
