  • Great place for family Thanksgiving gathering!

""Chinsegut" (you have to stay here to discover the meaning of this word!) was a wonderful spot for us to celebrate Thanksgiving. There were 6 adults and 6 children...plenty of space for all of us. The house is well-equipped to prepare meals for a crowd and ample room to spread out for various activities. The setting is beautiful...lovely wooded area with lake at the bottom of the hill. We enjoyed the fireplace in the main room and the the fire stove on the deck by the lake. The location is excellent for exploring the area. We enjoyed day trips to Greensboro and Madison. But most of all was the time we had to reconnect as a family at this beautiful spot. Thanks Amanda for your prompt attention to our questions and to your family for sharing their home."

  • Third Stay Here and Still Awesome!

"Our family recently stayed at this beautiful Cuscowilla condo for the third time in the past three years, this time for two weeks, and it is still as clean and well-appointed as the first time we visited. We love getting away from the rush of south Florida and finding quiet, peaceful places to relax and unwind, and this is the place we always come back to when visiting the Lake Oconee area. In the condo, we really enjoy the Viking appliances, wine cellar, outdoor gas grill, high definition TV's, and the overall relaxing flow of the layout. We felt right at home the first time we stayed here and really do so now after multiple stays. The pond behind the condo is so quiet and peaceful compared to the main lake with lots of loud boat and jet ski traffic in the summer, but you're still only minutes away from all the bustle and activity if things get a little too quiet at times. The closest comparison in terms of quality I've seen to this condo in the Lake Oconee area is the nearby Ritz-Carlton two-bedroom cottages at Reynolds Plantation that cost $2,500 per night in the summer. Save some money and rent this condo instead; you'll be glad you did. The owner is the most responsive and accommodating person from whom we have ever leased a vacation property, and we're looking forward to returning for a few more weeks in the fall or winter."

  • Spring Break!

"We are one of two families who rented the home for Spring Break. The home and lake are beautiful and the owners were very gracious hosts. The home was clean and decorated tastefully. The linens, bedding, and beds were top notch, which made it even more like home. FYI for fellow allergist, some of the comforters and pillows are feather. :) The wireless connection worked great as well as the cable. The boat access was a fantastic perk with this rental. The pool table and ping pong table were entertaining for all of us. The beautiful kitchen had most cooking needs, but could use larger bowls for serving and maybe a couple cookie sheets. The dining room table had plenty of room for both families at meal time. The neighbors were friendly, as well as the people in town. We bought fresh eggs from a family down the street, visited the Whistle Stop Cafe from the movie Fried Green Tomatoes, visited Noah's Ark, shopped at the Tanger Outlets, we fished everyday and caught quite a few fish, and enjoyed a nice boat ride. We wanted to get away, and this vacation was perfect for that. There are so many amenities that this home offers like Propane fryer if you want a fish fry, beach towels, extra blankets, movies, board games, fire place with fire wood, grill, patio table with chairs on deck, hot tub, hanging porch swing on upper deck, porch swing on lower level, beautiful boat/fishing dock with outdoor lighting for night time, small boat ramp next to dock, parking outside for two vehicles and room enough for another two in garage if needed, fishing poles...pretty much everything you'll need they have thought of. We would definitely rent this home again."
