Spend time at the Macon Music Hall of Fame which pays tributes to such great musicians as Ray Charles, the Allman Brothers Band, James Brown and Otis Redding. The Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Museum of Aviation and the Harriet Tubman Museum of African-American Art and History offer a varied choice of things to see.

Athens is home to the University of Georgia, rock groups REM and B-52 and, consequently has a thriving entertainment scene. It also has some interesting remnants of antebellum Georgia in its historic buildings. Augusta is well known to golf-lovers for hosting the Masters Tournament but it also has a pleasant waterfront and historic downtown district.
