"This was our first time on Lake Oconee, and loved it. Family came from all over the country and all were very impressed by the house and lake. The kids played from morning to night on the dock jumping in the water. We rented a pontoon boat from Tommy's Pontoons, the boat was really nice however, its a bit of a drive. We also rented a ski boat from Twin lakes rental. Advid family skiers / wake boarders were not impressed by the boat. We brought our wave runners and put them in just up the road from the house. The house is three levels and much larger and roomier than pictures show. The downstairs is a very large living room that you dont see in the pics. There is also a laundry room down there. My only suggestive would be that the owners make a list of things that are available at the home. Such as kitchen items and iron and TV possiblities for those that are not on the water all day. If I would have know I would not have traveled with my iron and hand mixer... Also, I was told the kayaks are not for guest use which was disappointing to many family memebers because they saw the pic of it and thought they could use it. Plan on making a 20-30 minute trip to get to publix or anywhere for that matter. We took a day trip to Milledgeville which was a small college town with some antique stores. We stopped in at the welcome center in town and did a tour of the Govenors House. There is a trolly tour but it only has one tour a day at 10 am in the morning, so we missed it, but enjoyed the walk around town looking at the older homes. The lake house is not recommended for anyone that can't use stairs. Other than that We really enjoyed our stay in this home and look forward to going back! BTW the Ritz Carlton is a great place to dock your boat and enjoy the pool bar, drinks were great and lunch look good too."

"Had a wonderful week in this home. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location on the lake was excellent, and the view from the large porch was heavenly. This was our first time staying here, but we will be back!"

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
This was an excellent home for our family weekend celebration. The floor plan, kitchen, wonderful screen porch, downstairs play area and lake views are superb. We did experience a power outage which was due to weather, so would suggest an emergency box be made conveniently available with flashlight, candles, etc Recommend highly."

"We loved our week at the lake! When we started planning our trip, we knew we wanted our own private dock on a secluded cove, a game room and a "lodge-like" house that would sleep up to 8 people comfortably. All of our needs were met, and more! We absolutely love the screened in porch with the spectacular views of the lake--just perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, reading a book and listening to the rain fall. We loved being nestled in a remote location, yet close enough to drive or boat to many great restaurants and of course, The Ritz-Carlton. We rented jet skis and a ski boat and had a fabulous time tubing, kneeboarding and wake surfing--most times with the gorgeous lake to ourselves. The house was well-stocked, very clean and extremely comfortable-and we cannot wait to book a return visit! Thank you Holden family!"
