Exceptional Home, Beautiful Grounds, Perfect Family Vacation
"The home, the location, the amenities ..... above everything we expected!!! The home is beautifully decorated, the grounds are impeccable, the pool is perfect and our family vacation was wonderful. We have rented homes on the beach and at the lake for several years now and what impressed me most about this home (other than it having everything, and more than, we expected) you didn't feel like you were staying in someone's bedroom or living amongst their things. There were a couple of "personal" decorations but nothing that ever made you feel like you were invading someone's privacy. We, personally, appreciate this. The pictures do not do this home justice.....the bedrooms are beautifully appointed and oh my goodness, the master bedroom is huge as well as the master bath. The "tree house", as our grandchildren coined it, was complete with a kitchen, breakfast table, couch, tv and comfortable bedroom and bath...again, beautifully decorated. Becky is amazing to work with and I felt like I had made a new friend at the end of our stay. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood (we walked every morning with our grandchildren and actually met a couple of friendly neighbors), and desiring the feel of a being at a resort 24/7. It's an amazing home, Becky is tremendous, and the amenities/location/home are more than we could have ever expected. It was a special week and, we will definitely be back. KM from Cumming"

"This was our second stay here . We had the opposite side of the duplex this time and it was just as nice as the first time. I would recommend this property and the owner was very nice. We also tried a great restaurant in Greensboro that I had read about The Yesterday Cafe ."

"We explored the whole lake and by far this is the calmest part! If you are looking for a relaxing time with little or no interruptions then this is the home for you. We had 11 people and there is more than enough room. The layout of the home is awesome with plenty of space! The water at the end of the dock is between 10-12' so it is plenty deep enough for the kids to jump off. The cove the home is in averaged maybe 2-3 boats a day coming by so you are very secluded but just a short boat ride away from the main area of the lake. I was worried about the stumps on Oconee but was pleasantly surprised by how well the hazard areas are marked and didn't have any trouble. It's about 20 minutes to a grocery store by land and about the same to the closest marina (that I could find) by water. The boat ramp is right around the corner and easy to find also. There were really NO issues whatsoever during our stay and we will be back."

"This was our first time on Lake Oconee, and loved it. Family came from all over the country and all were very impressed by the house and lake. The kids played from morning to night on the dock jumping in the water. We rented a pontoon boat from Tommy's Pontoons, the boat was really nice however, its a bit of a drive. We also rented a ski boat from Twin lakes rental. Advid family skiers / wake boarders were not impressed by the boat. We brought our wave runners and put them in just up the road from the house. The house is three levels and much larger and roomier than pictures show. The downstairs is a very large living room that you dont see in the pics. There is also a laundry room down there. My only suggestive would be that the owners make a list of things that are available at the home. Such as kitchen items and iron and TV possiblities for those that are not on the water all day. If I would have know I would not have traveled with my iron and hand mixer... Also, I was told the kayaks are not for guest use which was disappointing to many family memebers because they saw the pic of it and thought they could use it. Plan on making a 20-30 minute trip to get to publix or anywhere for that matter. We took a day trip to Milledgeville which was a small college town with some antique stores. We stopped in at the welcome center in town and did a tour of the Govenors House. There is a trolly tour but it only has one tour a day at 10 am in the morning, so we missed it, but enjoyed the walk around town looking at the older homes. The lake house is not recommended for anyone that can't use stairs. Other than that We really enjoyed our stay in this home and look forward to going back! BTW the Ritz Carlton is a great place to dock your boat and enjoy the pool bar, drinks were great and lunch look good too."
