"This was our first time on Lake Oconee, and loved it. Family came from all over the country and all were very impressed by the house and lake. The kids played from morning to night on the dock jumping in the water. We rented a pontoon boat from Tommy's Pontoons, the boat was really nice however, its a bit of a drive. We also rented a ski boat from Twin lakes rental. Advid family skiers / wake boarders were not impressed by the boat. We brought our wave runners and put them in just up the road from the house. The house is three levels and much larger and roomier than pictures show. The downstairs is a very large living room that you dont see in the pics. There is also a laundry room down there. My only suggestive would be that the owners make a list of things that are available at the home. Such as kitchen items and iron and TV possiblities for those that are not on the water all day. If I would have know I would not have traveled with my iron and hand mixer... Also, I was told the kayaks are not for guest use which was disappointing to many family memebers because they saw the pic of it and thought they could use it. Plan on making a 20-30 minute trip to get to publix or anywhere for that matter. We took a day trip to Milledgeville which was a small college town with some antique stores. We stopped in at the welcome center in town and did a tour of the Govenors House. There is a trolly tour but it only has one tour a day at 10 am in the morning, so we missed it, but enjoyed the walk around town looking at the older homes. The lake house is not recommended for anyone that can't use stairs. Other than that We really enjoyed our stay in this home and look forward to going back! BTW the Ritz Carlton is a great place to dock your boat and enjoy the pool bar, drinks were great and lunch look good too."

"We explored the whole lake and by far this is the calmest part! If you are looking for a relaxing time with little or no interruptions then this is the home for you. We had 11 people and there is more than enough room. The layout of the home is awesome with plenty of space! The water at the end of the dock is between 10-12' so it is plenty deep enough for the kids to jump off. The cove the home is in averaged maybe 2-3 boats a day coming by so you are very secluded but just a short boat ride away from the main area of the lake. I was worried about the stumps on Oconee but was pleasantly surprised by how well the hazard areas are marked and didn't have any trouble. It's about 20 minutes to a grocery store by land and about the same to the closest marina (that I could find) by water. The boat ramp is right around the corner and easy to find also. There were really NO issues whatsoever during our stay and we will be back."

"We loved our stay this summer on Lake Oconee. The house had all the amenities needed inside and out. We can't wait to come back again. The kids had a great time fishing off the dock and loved having a pool to play in as well as the lake. This was a great house for 3 families to come together and the living space was perfect for games and late night chats on the couch. I highly recommend this home to anyone needing a break from the stresses of life and needing some relaxation time with friends and family. :)"

"Our family had the best time at our weekend stay in this home. We rented the house for my mother in law's 60th birthday. It was perfect for our family of 8 and 2 babies. It was nice for us all to be together, yet we still had plenty of space. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our days outside and on the water with plenty to do with paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing. Wonderful dinners outside with the grill and then game night in the basement. We had a ball!! The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. We can't wait to do it again!!"
