"This was our first time on Lake Oconee, and loved it. Family came from all over the country and all were very impressed by the house and lake. The kids played from morning to night on the dock jumping in the water. We rented a pontoon boat from Tommy's Pontoons, the boat was really nice however, its a bit of a drive. We also rented a ski boat from Twin lakes rental. Advid family skiers / wake boarders were not impressed by the boat. We brought our wave runners and put them in just up the road from the house. The house is three levels and much larger and roomier than pictures show. The downstairs is a very large living room that you dont see in the pics. There is also a laundry room down there. My only suggestive would be that the owners make a list of things that are available at the home. Such as kitchen items and iron and TV possiblities for those that are not on the water all day. If I would have know I would not have traveled with my iron and hand mixer... Also, I was told the kayaks are not for guest use which was disappointing to many family memebers because they saw the pic of it and thought they could use it. Plan on making a 20-30 minute trip to get to publix or anywhere for that matter. We took a day trip to Milledgeville which was a small college town with some antique stores. We stopped in at the welcome center in town and did a tour of the Govenors House. There is a trolly tour but it only has one tour a day at 10 am in the morning, so we missed it, but enjoyed the walk around town looking at the older homes. The lake house is not recommended for anyone that can't use stairs. Other than that We really enjoyed our stay in this home and look forward to going back! BTW the Ritz Carlton is a great place to dock your boat and enjoy the pool bar, drinks were great and lunch look good too."

Exceptional Home, Beautiful Grounds, Perfect Family Vacation
"The home, the location, the amenities ..... above everything we expected!!! The home is beautifully decorated, the grounds are impeccable, the pool is perfect and our family vacation was wonderful. We have rented homes on the beach and at the lake for several years now and what impressed me most about this home (other than it having everything, and more than, we expected) you didn't feel like you were staying in someone's bedroom or living amongst their things. There were a couple of "personal" decorations but nothing that ever made you feel like you were invading someone's privacy. We, personally, appreciate this. The pictures do not do this home justice.....the bedrooms are beautifully appointed and oh my goodness, the master bedroom is huge as well as the master bath. The "tree house", as our grandchildren coined it, was complete with a kitchen, breakfast table, couch, tv and comfortable bedroom and bath...again, beautifully decorated. Becky is amazing to work with and I felt like I had made a new friend at the end of our stay. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood (we walked every morning with our grandchildren and actually met a couple of friendly neighbors), and desiring the feel of a being at a resort 24/7. It's an amazing home, Becky is tremendous, and the amenities/location/home are more than we could have ever expected. It was a special week and, we will definitely be back. KM from Cumming"

"This was our second stay here . We had the opposite side of the duplex this time and it was just as nice as the first time. I would recommend this property and the owner was very nice. We also tried a great restaurant in Greensboro that I had read about The Yesterday Cafe ."

"This was our 7th summer using VRBO and can honestly say this was the best house we've ever stayed in! It was so clean and comfortable, We felt at home the minute we walked in. It was spacious and so well maintained, with anything and everything we needed for a fun filled weekend. My husband and I enjoyed evenings outside on the deck, built a fire for s'mores, while the kids (3) played ping pong, pool, and yard games...they all actually took their noses out of technology for 4 days!! We barbecued one night and had all the neccessary kitchen wear-absolutely everything was in that kitchen. We did go out a couple of the nights to great meals just minutes from the home, Gabbys at the Ritz was amazing, on the lake, great food! The "village" which is also 10 min by car had a great Italian place, Mexican and steak resto (also a movie theater and publix)...the only one we didn't try was the Mex resto. All others were super!
We rented a pontoon boat and tubes, and had a great day on the lake...jet skis another day, all a blast, and minutes to the marina where we rented. Each morning my husband and daughter took out either the paddle boards or canoes (all at the house for our use) for a morning ride. The house is just perfect and we really can't wait to return. The owners were a pleasure to work with, always just a text away for any questions we had. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was! Thanks for opening your home to us for our last few days of summer vacation, we made great memories!"
