  • Simple pleasures in a beautiful setting!

"We celebrated our adult daughter's birthday and had a restful weekend with beautiful weather. The serene chalet was clean and well equipped for our visit. Bob enjoyed fishing off the dock and Lesly and I lounged on the great deck looking at the lake. The sunset was gorgeous. We cooked hotdogs on the grill and felt like we were in the mountains. Our birthday dinner was at the 220 Restaurant in Madison. What a beautiful small town. The food was great and met the chef. We would love to come back. Thank you Barry and Kimberly."

  • Great cottage in the best Atlanta neighborhood

"As a former resident of Atlanta, I am very familiar with the Morningside/Virginia Highlands neighborhood. It is by far, the most desirable, in-town neighborhood in Atlanta, and is close to ALL activities. The cottage was just perfect for me and my 2 children for our 3 week visit. The house was well furnished and comfortable and Jim was very accommodating. We will certainly stay in the cottage on our future visits!"

  • Fantastic Experience for Recent LARGE Family Reunion!

"Wow, I don't even know where to begin. My wife's family just had their bi-annual family reunion here last week and I don't have a negative word to say. This place can easily accommodate a lot more than 44 people. The kids ranged from 3 weeks old to 16 years old, and there was something for everyone. The pictures looked nice and the reviews were great, but you really have to go to get the full effect. Our family if huge, yet we were able to hang together, eat together, etc., without having to even leave the main floor. I have a lot of back problems but I couldn't keep my eyes open once I hit that wonderful bed. I had it in my mind that I'd be fishing a lot while there, but there were so many things to do that I actually never cast my line once. It's a pretty classy place as far as furnishings go, but not so classy that you don't feel at home. The industrial kitchen was amazing for our big family. We constantly used the nice pool facility, the pavilion, and even made good use of the nice conference center for a family meeting. Teresa, the extremely nice woman in charge, was BEYOND accommodating to our family. I have never been to a lodge or B&B where someone went this far out of the way to make sure we had what we needed and then some. I would go back in a heartbeat, and plan to in the future. If you want to get away from the world for a bit, I highly recommend this venue. If you go in the summer, just remember that you're in the woods in the south, so there are bugs outside (not a problem inside). Oddly enough, however, I didn't get a single mosquito bite. Anyhow, if you want a nice family or business retreat experience, I highly recommend it, and I'm typically a picky person."

  • Great relaxation!

"Perfect location for a get-a-way! Hammock, check. Fabulous view, check. Home away from home, check! We had an outstanding week of relaxing and enjoying the lake view. Lots of fun with our dog in the yard, great walks and had the grandest time renting a pontoon and spending DAYS on the lake. Make sure you visit the goats on the island! The kayak was a fun bonus that kept our 13 year old busy when he wasn't fishing off the deck."
