  • AWESOME OWNERS! GREAT GET-A-AWAY FOR RELAXATION

"This is the most awesome place. I live 20 minutes away but my Mother was visiting from Missouri and I wanted to find something special for her. The Owner benji is most accomdating and friendly. You feel right a home. There is alot of privacy and the cabin was clean and the view of the Lake was outstanding. I liked the Beach the best. There is a small white sandy beach area where you can float or swim and the Lake was so clean! I tried to kayak for the first time and it was very exciting. I would highly Recommend this place. Your so close to Columbus yet you feel out in the wilderness when your at the cabin. YOU MUST LOVE ANIMALS...THIS PLACE IS ANIMAL HEAVEN ...VERY DOG FRIENDLY..which is rare these days. GOOD FRIENDLY dogs running everywhere. I want to go back soon. Price is very well worth every bit of it. MJ"

  • Awesome Lake Getaway

"Greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on Lake Sinclair. The house was well equipped, very clean and comfortable for a relaxing weekend stay. The property owner was helpful and prompt with information around the WIFI and any other questions we had. We enjoyed the shaded deck as well as the fire pit near the lake side. I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a getaway to Lake Sinclair, it is a convenient drive from Atlanta with endless activities for outdoor enthusiasts."

  • June 2014 Visit

"The Urban Retreat was a truly great house to stay. It was conveniently located near family for us. There is an awesome coffee shop located only a couple of blocks away. After booking this house, the automatic emails are plentiful, but personal contact is limited. Upon arrival, after several attempts of trying to unlock the front door of the house, it was discovered that you need to pull the door forward while turning the key at the same time to successfully open it. The emergency phone # that is provided is not 24/7. As stated in a prior review, having non skid rugs located throughout the house, especially outside the showers, would be a helpful safety feature. All in all, the house is described accurately and is very nice. I would recommend to others."

  • Masters Week

"In the past we rented homes through a broker and had some apprehension dealing directly with an owner. Along with three sons and one wife, we visited this area for the first time since we had tickets for one of the days of the Masters. We were very pleased with Tony's home and the arrangements before our arrival. The home is beautifully furnished with a terrific setting on the lake. The downstairs area is a wonderful place to relax and watch the large screen TV. The master suite is excellent, large size with large bathroom and walk in closet. The Ritz Carlton is a short drive for dinners if you prefer not to eat in all the time. To use the cliche, the home clearly exceeded our expectations."

Metro Atlanta, Central & Southern Travel Tips

Get Away to Georgia Vacation Rentals

For a refreshing away-from-the-rat-race vacation, central southern Georgia is hard to beat. It is very easy to access, has warm sunny days for most of the year, and the beautiful natural scenery just begs to be explored and enjoyed. Renting a comfortable Pine Mountain log cabin or Lake Sinclair vacation rental in Georgia is the perfect escape for a weekend or longer, allowing visitors to completely relax and recharge their batteries.

Choosing Your Georgia Lodging

A log cabin or vacation home gives plenty of flexibility in both size and location. Choose a quiet retreat where you will not be disturbed by noisy neighbors in the next hotel room. Vacation rentals come in all sizes to suit couples, families or groups of friends on a budget sharing the accommodation. Set in popular locations for exploring the area, vacation homes have all the extras such as a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor sitting area, books, games and more than one TV. They are ideal for those who want to prepare their own meals and follow their own timetable, getting up and eating when they choose to.

Things to do From Georgia Vacation Rentals

Southern central Georgia has plenty of historical and architectural sites for history-lovers to enjoy. There are many old homes and mansions, such as the Old Governor’s Mansion in Milledgeville which was home to 10 Georgian governors and became Sherman’s headquarters during the Civil War. History-lovers will also enjoy a trip to Meadow Gardens in Augusta, the former home of George Walton, the youngest signatory on the Declaration of Independence. The area has many theaters and arts venues, including the Douglass Theater at Macon. Visit the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia on the outskirts of Athens or simply head out on an adventure of your own in the Oconee National Forest.

Kayaking, boating, waterskiing, wildlife viewing, fishing, rock climbing, biking, swimming and plenty of golf courses are all close to your Georgia lodging.

Getting to Central Southern Georgia

The nearest major airport is the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport at Atlanta. Rent a car and head out on your Southern Georgia adventure. Alternatively, south central Georgia is easy to drive to from many of the south eastern states.

Spend time at the Macon Music Hall of Fame which pays tributes to such great musicians as Ray Charles, the Allman Brothers Band, James Brown and Otis Redding. The Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Museum of Aviation and the Harriet Tubman Museum of African-American Art and History offer a varied choice of things to see.

Athens is home to the University of Georgia, rock groups REM and B-52 and, consequently has a thriving entertainment scene.
