  • Very pleased!!!

"This condo was great...much better (and much cheaper!)than a hotel room! Not only is it larger than a hotel room but you have a fully equipped kitchen for eating-in,a separate bedroom, two TV's, and free parking! Peter, the owner, is great to work with! This was our second stay at one of Peter's properties and we will definitely stay again!"

  • Fantastic House

"My wife and I along with 2 other couples stayed in this house and had an amazing time. Enough room for everyone to have a little privacy and to gather in either of the 2 main TV rooms. Beautiful lake front property with a great dock for relaxing. Close to restaurants and Publix and close to the Ritz should you want to go to one of their restaurants. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!"

  • 3rd time rental!

"This was our 3rd time renting this chalet in the past 6 years and can't wait to get back! The home is beautifully decorated, large but very cozy- pictures don't do it justice. The upstairs deck is the perfect place to rock with morning coffee. We love the included pontoon rental (which is why we keep coming back)- lake traffic is minimal during the week and easily navigated. The Lakeview Restaurant has recently been updated/renovated- easy boat ride and the Wing Depot is a short walk away for great food as well. The bedrooms are HUGE, beds are more than comfortable and there are plenty of towels for all bathrooms. HIGHLY recommend this home !! Thanks Dottie & Richard :)"

  • Graduation Memories - A Very Special Time

"This was more than a "lake house" - it was truly a "lake home" with the emphasis on HOME. Upon our arrival, the home was spotless, well maintained, and the extra little amenities like the courtesy flip-flops, fussball table, fishing poles, kitchen supplies, etc. made everything perfect. Clearly, a lot of care and thought went into furnishing this home for guests. Our gathering consisted of a few families and several Georgia College graduates and their friends that had all come together to celebrate memories of their four years together. They were all now going out into life on their own. Lots of fun, lots of reminiscing as well as laughter and tears happened this weekend. It was the absolutely perfect setting...the ambience was peaceful, calm and serene. This lake home was large, comfortable and homey. Everyone could have their own spot if they wanted. Two decks with lots of outdoor furniture, upstairs and downstairs living spaces, and the dock with chairs and inflatables. Even a blackboard wall where everyone left personal and funny messages for each other! The goal of our weekend was to make a final lasting memory into the lives of these young people as they begin "real life". We were definitely able to accomplish it thanks to the "home on the lake". I can't give this home high enough ratings. I certainly hope that we can someday return for another reunion in the future."

Metro Atlanta, Central & Southern Travel Tips

Get Away to Georgia Vacation Rentals

For a refreshing away-from-the-rat-race vacation, central southern Georgia is hard to beat. It is very easy to access, has warm sunny days for most of the year, and the beautiful natural scenery just begs to be explored and enjoyed. Renting a comfortable Pine Mountain log cabin or Lake Sinclair vacation rental in Georgia is the perfect escape for a weekend or longer, allowing visitors to completely relax and recharge their batteries.

Choosing Your Georgia Lodging

A log cabin or vacation home gives plenty of flexibility in both size and location. Choose a quiet retreat where you will not be disturbed by noisy neighbors in the next hotel room. Vacation rentals come in all sizes to suit couples, families or groups of friends on a budget sharing the accommodation. Set in popular locations for exploring the area, vacation homes have all the extras such as a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor sitting area, books, games and more than one TV. They are ideal for those who want to prepare their own meals and follow their own timetable, getting up and eating when they choose to.

Things to do From Georgia Vacation Rentals

Southern central Georgia has plenty of historical and architectural sites for history-lovers to enjoy. There are many old homes and mansions, such as the Old Governor’s Mansion in Milledgeville which was home to 10 Georgian governors and became Sherman’s headquarters during the Civil War. History-lovers will also enjoy a trip to Meadow Gardens in Augusta, the former home of George Walton, the youngest signatory on the Declaration of Independence. The area has many theaters and arts venues, including the Douglass Theater at Macon. Visit the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia on the outskirts of Athens or simply head out on an adventure of your own in the Oconee National Forest.

Kayaking, boating, waterskiing, wildlife viewing, fishing, rock climbing, biking, swimming and plenty of golf courses are all close to your Georgia lodging.

Getting to Central Southern Georgia

The nearest major airport is the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport at Atlanta. Rent a car and head out on your Southern Georgia adventure. Alternatively, south central Georgia is easy to drive to from many of the south eastern states.

Follow the US 441 to Macon, known in this area as the Antebellum Trail, and enjoy all the historic elegance and architecture of the Old South. Buildings have been beautifully renovated and the historic homes offer interesting guided tours. In March, the city’s cherry trees are laden with blossoms, making a beautiful sight. Spend time at the Macon Music Hall of Fame which pays tributes to such great musicians as Ray Charles, the Allman Brothers Band, James Brown and Otis Redding. The Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Museum of Aviation and the Harriet Tubman Museum of African-American Art and History offer a varied choice of things to see.

Athens is home to the University of Georgia, rock groups REM and B-52 and, consequently has a thriving entertainment scene. It also has some interesting remnants of antebellum Georgia in its historic buildings.
