  • A great escape!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here during our first trip to the South. It was a great alternative after staying in downtown Charleston and then touring the city of Savannah. The house is spacious and perfectly accommodating in every way. The view, the pier, and the firepit were fast favorites. I highly recommend this spot and would welcome any opportunity to return. Thanks Dana!"

  • Fantastic Weekend!

"If you are looking for a great getaway, look no further! My wife, three kids, and my parents stayed three nights and it was truly relaxing. The property was everything it said it was and more. It was fully stocked with everything you need with items such as coffee maker, filters, soap, cookers, gas grill, crab traps, you name it. The views are amazing and well worth the trip. Even though the crabs were somewhat out of season, we experienced everything from dolphin watching, boating, fishing, sight seeing, and even catching some small sharks off the dock. I want to also want to give a great big thank you to the person who planted the two magnolia trees on the bank so many years ago. They provide the perfect place sit in the shade, relax, and watch the boats in the waterways! We will definitely go again!"

  • A great place to stay and fabulous people to work with!

"We are a family of 3 and have a friend who travels with us. The house and extra cottage were perfect for us! The house is very easy to find off the interstate. It has plenty of room for parking. The kitchen is really nice to cook in. The HUGE island means no ONE person is stuck doing all the cooking. Everyone gets in and helps without being in the way. The fridge is really big and fit all of the groceries that we brought with us. We typically bring everything with us. My husband laughs because I usually take groceries home we pack so much. We have rented lots of houses and have learned to take some of the things we like to have with us. This house had everything we needed and those things stayed in the car. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. The house had plenty of extra's without feeling like you were a visitor in someone's house. In the week that we were there we only saw neighbors once. The other houses are close but not so close you need to talk or to even wave! The house is better than the photos. You can watch the sun go down out the large windows over looking the creek. The deck on the house is huge. We drank a bottle of wine and enjoyed each others company until the bugs ran us in! The kayaks pictured were fabulous fishing kayaks that were better than the kayak's we brought with us. My husband and son stayed gone most days on them. We were at the house a little more than a week and they were still excited to go out exploring. We used the large pot to cook a low country boil in. Everything is provided to do it outside so you don't have to smell it in the house. The owners and Dana have thought of everything. We weren't lucky enough to catch any crabs. We caught one but he wasn't big enough to keep, however we were convinced the same one came back everyday and he would be big enough to eat before we left. My 11 yr old son caught a big stingray from the dock when high tide was coming in. He was so excited. We caught a few others as well. His joy made the trip totally worth it. The fish cleaning station is really nice. The ceiling fans overhead were a great touch. The new dock is fabulous. Again, the small touches at this house were great. There is a storage container down on the dock so you don't have to drag everything down there everyday. I hate to keep saying nice things because I know this house will be rented the next time we want to go! We will be back!"

  • Wonderful December Getaway!!!!

"We stayed at the Oyster house in the beginning of December and loved our time there!!! The views are unbeatable and so is the house! It is comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. We were close to Savannah, but the highlight of the trip was the Colonial Christmas at Fort Morris."
