  • Hospitable cottage provided good times on vacation to Georgia

"We are a family of 5 and this cottage provided it all. It was a clean and well decorated cottage. Close enough proximity to plenty of cool things to do- plenty of history and stuff to do on the river there in Darien, 30 min to Jekyll and St. Simons Islands, and 1 hr. to Savannah. We still had plenty of time for r & r in the cottage and eating peaches on the screened porch! Ann, your hospitality was very helpful to us and we thank you both. The notebook full of brochures from around the area was great, too..."

  • Pristine Tranquility!

"This was our second visit and even better this time since we had an entire week to kick back and relax. My husband and I vacation by renting through VRBO, no hotels or B&Bs, and we find that not all VRBOs are this nicely appointed. The house is immaculately clean and comfortable. In the kitchen you'll enjoy full sets of unbroken and unchipped dishes, glasses, wineglasses, pots, pans and bakeware. The sheets and towels are soft. She has tons of "goodies" in the jar in case you've forgotten shampoo, soap or conditioner. The house is near to the end of a long, narrow island so it's incredibly quiet and peaceful. No through traffic or boat noise because it's "no wake" and the fishermen are respectful. We don't fish but we were entertained at high tide by the folks who anchored at the fishing hole on the river; they were catching redfish. There are walking paths under the ancient Oaks and a Nature Trail to enjoy. The neighbor's Black Lab did not wake us nor bother us or our 10-pound dog. Perhaps it was just "one-of-those things" for the previous reviewer...? This home is so delightful and the neighborhood so lovely that we'll make this an annual destination."

  • Our Weekend Getaway from Moultrie Georgia

"We had looked at this cottage from the online site, but to be honest...we thought it was to be too good to be true for this much space at such a great price, so we took a day and rode over to see it first-hand. I have to say that the pictures and video online didn't do it justice. It was by far more than we expected. When we arrived for our weekend getaway, everything was clean and very well stocked. the area was very relaxing with great seafood just a stone throw away. There are plenty of services to meet your needs but not the hustle and bustle of the big city. My wife and I enjoyed riding the bikes that were provided down the shady, moss draped streets. we will definitely be back and recommend this to all our friends."
