  • So easy to settle in

"We have stayed here before and love returning. All the comforts and amenities of home, thoughtfully provided. I think all you need to pack are your clothes and toothbrush and toothpaste. This is in a great location and such a short distance to St. Simons and Jeckyll Island which we visited. We love the deck and kitchen and the three bedrooms. The owners are so helpful. Don't even think about a hotel exiting from I-95. There is a lovely little wine bar in Darien which is remarkably good, and B& J's restaurant is fun for Southern fare and Skippers is a good restaurant on the water for great seafood, all within steps of the cottage. I've only done one other VRBO, but this is no contest, because of the hospitality, friendliness, and flexibility of the owners."

  • A Gem -well worth the drive off the beaten path.

"What a lovely little (spacious) cottage in the heart of historical Darien - bright and well kept. Within walking distance of some very interesting shops and Fort King George as well as heritage churches. We enjoyed eating at a sweet cafe around the corner. It was a pleasure to find a quality residence that allowed us to bring along the dog (an important part of our family). We would love to return and bring friends and family."

  • ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

"MYSELF AND THREE GREAT GIRLFRIENDS HAD THE PLEASURE OF SPENDING TIME AT THE MARSH HOUSE FROM FEBRUARY 27-MARCH 1ST. EACH OF US ARE INDEPENDENT BUSINESS OWNERS IN VARIED PROFESSIONS, AGES RANGING FROM 45-59...SOME WITH YOUNG CHILDREN AND OTHERS WITH GRANDS...LEADING VERY BUSY LIVES, SO TIME AWAY WAS NOT ONLY CAREFULLY PLANNED, BUT ALSO A CHERISHED TIME TOGETHER. FROM BOOKING TO DEPARTURE, THIS TRIP WAS PERFECT. ON ARRIVAL, THE PROPERTY MANAGER WAS THERE TO MEET US AND ASSURED SHE WAS CLOSE BY IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING. SHE MADE SURE THERE WAS PLENTY OF WOOD STACKED AT THE OUTDOOR FIREPLACE AND EVEN GAVE US A HEADS-UP FOR TIDE AND BIRD-WATCHING. MARSH HOUSE IS EVERYTHING REFLECTED IN THE PHOTOS AND SO MUCH MORE....A COZY PROPERTY WITH PLENTY OF ROOM AND LOTS OF COMFORT. ASIDE FROM IT'S BEAUTIFUL, RELAXED AND PRIVATE LOCATION RIGHT ON THE MARSH, THE HOUSE ITSELF IS A JEWEL. FROM THE COMFY AND TASTEFUL DECOR, TO NICE LINENS AND A WELL-STOCKED KITCHEN, NOTHING HAS BEEN FORGOTTEN HERE. THE WEATHER DID NOT ALLOW FOR MUCH EXPLORING, BUT THE VIEW FROM THE WRAPAROUND PORCH WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR US TO BEGIN PLANNING A TRIP BACK IN THE WARM & SUNNY SEASON. WE ENJOYED WATCHING THE TIDE ROLL IN AND THE MANY VARIETIES OF FEATHERED FRIENDS THAT DROPPED BY FOR VIEWING. BUT TIME SPENT INSIDE WAS WORTH THE TRIP ALONE....I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER FELT SO AT HOME WHILE TRAVELLING. PRICELESS MEMORIES MADE ON A QUICK WEEKEND TO THE MARSH HOUSE. PERFECT IN EVERY WAY ~ I CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN!"
