"We are a family of 5 and this cottage provided it all. It was a clean and well decorated cottage. Close enough proximity to plenty of cool things to do- plenty of history and stuff to do on the river there in Darien, 30 min to Jekyll and St. Simons Islands, and 1 hr. to Savannah. We still had plenty of time for r & r in the cottage and eating peaches on the screened porch! Ann, your hospitality was very helpful to us and we thank you both. The notebook full of brochures from around the area was great, too..."Guest: Family of five Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 5, 2014View listing
"This was my third time staying at The Marsh house, and I still haven't been disappointed! The view is one of a kind, there are so many sights to see, places to go, and the beds are so comfortable! It was very clean, and has a lovely "beachy" theme to it. Definitely a great place to go and unwind. I'll be coming back again and again, no doubt!"Guest: Danielle Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: December 17, 2013View listing
"We stayed a week and took the boat. Although I had never fished on the GA coast, with it's big tides, they were fun to fish. All of the areas we saw and fished were plenty deep enough to navigate at low tide. Its only a short boat ride to Sapelo Island and the open ocean. The dock had electric power and fresh water, and no bugs the whole week. Water under the boat was deep at low tide at the dock. The house is great, just as described, and very, very clean. Everyone had plenty of room and plenty of privacy. There is a nice ping-pong room off the garage. The area is very nice and safe. We visited Savannah one day as well as Brunswick. Both are easy drives. Usually when the vacation is over I'm the first in the car, ready to get home. On this trip I wanted to stay. The only slight negative is now my grandson wants a kayak!"Guest: Logan Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 9, 2014View listing
"We had looked at this cottage from the online site, but to be honest...we thought it was to be too good to be true for this much space at such a great price, so we took a day and rode over to see it first-hand. I have to say that the pictures and video online didn't do it justice. It was by far more than we expected. When we arrived for our weekend getaway, everything was clean and very well stocked. the area was very relaxing with great seafood just a stone throw away. There are plenty of services to meet your needs but not the hustle and bustle of the big city. My wife and I enjoyed riding the bikes that were provided down the shady, moss draped streets. we will definitely be back and recommend this to all our friends."Guest: Roy Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 8, 2014View listing
Darien Travel Tips
Boating Options Near Darien Vacation Rentals
Most of the Darien vacation rentals have a waterfront and fishing village located adjacent to the property for enjoyment. You don't have to go very far to fully enjoy this favorite pastime of many vacationers. The Darien vacation homes also have lodges that are located about one block from the boat ramps to the Darien river. The lodges have portals and hook-ups that allow vacationers to bring their own boats to dock and enjoy in the water. To get your boat to the lodge, you access the inter-coastal waterway to the Darien River and travel towards the lodges. You can use your boat to travel along the river to sight-see and not worry about rental fees on equipment.
Large and Generous Accommodations
Most Coastal Georgia lodging options have generously sized bedrooms that feature four to five apiece and can sleep anywhere from eight to 14 people. There are also convertible beds available to accommodate larger groups. There are a large number of bathrooms in Darien beach homes, up to four and a half bathrooms per home. This large number of bathrooms is not commonly found in vacation rentals. Guests enjoy the generous amenities and accommodations. They much prefer vacation rentals over hotel rentals that give you less than half of these quality features for more money. This is what makes vacation rentals so popular.
A Vacation to Book Again
The high-quality Coastal Georgia lodging is located about an hour from Jacksonville or Savannah airports with about a four and a half hour drive to Atlanta. You can enjoy activities and events in these local towns and still come back to your vacation rental and continue to bask in your home away from home. You'll find yourself drawn to the nicely decorated, fully equipped and reasonably priced vacation rentals and wondering when you'd like to book your next vacation!
