  • Our third great visit!

"First, I have a comment for VRBO. I signed on to write this review AND to see what I said last summer and decide what I wanted to add to that. I see my last review was never posted!!! Does VRBO limit five stars or something? This is fishy. Well, I'm trying again and will see what happens and will CHECK on it this time. We've been to this home twice before. We just love the lovely neighborhood, the gorgeous very spacious home, and the easy proximity to lovely beach. For our party of nine, this home gives plenty of room! In looking for my review, I see the one that says disappointed. I don't know if it's OK to comment on another review but, if so, oh PLEASE. We just left this home and it was totally clean as always, the couch is very comfy to me, and the living room t.v. is exactly as shown in the pictures and works fine. I once lived on Tybee and have lived at Jacksonville Beach and Isle of Palms (in S.C.) as well. One thing no owner can do ANYTHING about is the Palmetto bugs. If you don't like them, don't go to a beach. They can even FLY in and like to do so expecially when it rains. I read the owner response and have had LOTS of contact with Judy over years; I can see where if she sends a man over who isn't allowed in to see what TYPE of light bulbs are needed that he can't really leave but a few. It doesn't seem like those people appreciated her paying someone to come over! I would bet they were just upset that it rained over Labor Day it seems, especially if they got in touch with Judy 12 times I think it was she said in her response! Enough defense! lol These are just such sweet responsive caring people that I got mad when I read that. We enjoyed our trip as always and found nothing at all wrong with the house in any way. We had no bugs, but it was sunny weather. Oh..Judy does need to update her pictures online in one regard. The pictures are showing the trundle bed that used to be on the lowest level. That has been replaced with twin beds. MUCH better!!! I hate trundles. Floors and everything else were spotless. I'm glad I looked to see what I said in my other review to see what I should add in this one and found it never posted because I would NOT want to miss a chance to praise these lovely owners and this gorgeous home. You'll enjoy it. We need two king beds when we travel which this has too by the way and it's almost impossible to find that! We have two tall guys in the family. All in all, always very nice trip."

  • Beautiful home, perfect for large groups!

"We held our company staff retreat at this location and very comfortably hosted our large group of 15. In fact, several of us made note that we would like to come back with our families or a few families and stay at the property again. A short walk to the beach, we also enjoyed the rooftop deck and beautiful scenery. The large kitchen and eating areas were also perfect for our group. I highly recommend hosting a low country boil and using Chef Rick! He made our opening night special with his home cooked meal and hospitality. We will definitely be returning."

  • A family reunion to remember!

"We were looking for a nice home to spend a long weekend with our adult children in the beautiful city of Savannah. We could not have found a more perfect home that we all immediately fell in love with. From the moment we passed thru the front door,we were delighted with the charm and elegance everywhere we looked. We were greeted with a kitchen stocked with so many goodies along with a bottle of wine and refrigerator full of water, pop and milk. As we climbed the gorgeous staircase we enjoyed exploring the second and third floor bedrooms with soft music playing in each of the 4 bedrooms. We had beautiful weather so we spent two out of the three evenings cooking at home in the wonderful courtyard listening to the horse and carriages right outside the brick wall. It was such a relaxing way for all of us to escape from our busy schedules and just enjoy each other company. I do not think Savannah would have been quite so charming if we were not at 504 St. Julian St. I would strongly recommend this lovely home to anyone and hope to return! Thanks Carrie for your hospitality and great detail!"

  • A Long Awaited Time!

"My sisters and I recently spent a memorable week at Sea Haven on St Simons Island. We spent a lot of time on the Island as children but this was the first time for just us sisters as adults. The house provided the perfect place for our get away. By the way I stayed at this same house over a year ago and it has been totally renovated so that I really didn't recognize it. The kitchen has been bumped out and everything in it is new-cabinets, counter-tops, appliances. A bedroom and bath was added as well as well as a sitting room upstairs and den downstairs. The baths are all totally redesigned and new. I spent a lot of time in the main living area upstairs which is all open and looks out over the beach and ocean. This area accesses the wrap around deck from which we could both hear and see the surf. So nice in the early morning for a cup of coffee or evenings for a glass of wine. The kitchen had everything we needed for an evening dinner at home. Then we could take a moonlight dip in the pool or walk down to the beach once more before saying good bye to the day. Downstairs which is where you enter from the beach or backyard pool had lovely new tile floors. Perfect for sandy feet though there is an outdoor shower beside the entry. The home provides bikes for a quick ride down the beach or along the marsh. The village with the pier, shops and restaurants and coast guard station are an easy bike ride away. The owner, Diane has done an amazing renovation! The decor is warm and inviting with lovely island, beach life photos The home feels new and is sparking clean. Just writing this makes me ready to go back!"
