"The house and pool were wonderful. There was enough room for all 7 of us. The location was wonderful for us because we are not huge beach people. I also have only a minor suggestion and that would be the kind size bed upstairs in the upstairs master needs to be replaced. It was incredibly hard and sagging in the middle. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home."

"We rented this house for a ladies' week-long getaway. It's a lovely home in a nice neighborhood--five minute easy walk to the beach. The beds/rooms were very comfortable and considering 2 people in our party had had bone/joint surgery in the past year, the elevator was extremely convenient for luggage and shopping bags! AC worked well. The house was clean and well kept--the decks were amazing for evening drinks and knitting or chatting. The kitchen was well equipped with cookware, dishes, and glasses. There was a minor problem with the stove, which was replaced, and the plumbing, which was repaired. The owner was nice and good about communication. The price is reasonable for the amenities and location, and it's most helpful to have a laundry right in the house. We also appreciated that this house has 4 parking spaces (most have only two). Not a criticism--just advice--if you have children, be careful to show them how to use the elevator accordion door, which can pinch fingers if you aren't aware of how to use it. And this has nothing to do with the house, but the neighborhood pools are quite small, plus no one seemed to notice that one was for "families with young children" and the other was not. Not that important--We spent most of our days on the beach, anyway, which was great. Travel Tip: Rent an umbrella and chairs from the nice fellows a few condos south--for a few days' rental and a gratuity, they'll set everything up for you. :)"

"Our extended family of 16 recently spent our annual St. Simon's beach week at this fantastic house. It is difficult with the age span in our family (3 to 70 years) to make everyone as happy as we were this year staying at Floataway Cottage. The house is beautiful, organized and well equipped. The two ice makers, two refrigerators and the two sets of washers and dryers made a huge difference to our large family. The living and sleeping accommodations met our needs better than ever before. We loved the large dining area that allowed our family to enjoy meals together. The roof top deck was a great bonus. The preteens and teens biked, played on the beach, had ping pong tournaments and never complained about anything!!! The owner answered questions and concerns promptly. The previous glowing reviews were correct. On day two everyone was asking to return to this house next year. We already plan to return."

"We stayed in both houses for a family wedding in April and had no trouble accomodating all 18 family members who came. The Compound was perfect for the wide range of the kid's ages (20 months to 16) with the pool, playset and open lawn-room enough for all to run around, throw the frisbee and take a dip. We used the larger house as the main gathering space and were easily accomodated between the living room, large screened porch and poolside seating. The porch of the 3 bedroom house provided an escape for anyone who wanted a more quiet, private space. The location was perfect, though not directly on the beach, the public access was an easy 2-3 block walk, next to the King and Prince Hotel. We also walked to Crab Daddy's and the Crab Trap for dinner and were a short drive (5-10 min) to the grocery store and/or the Pier and other St. Simons attractions. Debi could not have been more personable or easier to work with-from my initial inquiry to checkout and was very timely and accomodating in her responses to my questions and requests. The houses are not fancy-but then who needs fancy when you are at the beach tracking in sand? Both homes had laundry facilities amd were comfortable and well-stocked with linens, towels and plenty of plates, glasses, silverware, and pots and pans. My one suggestion would be to supply a few more hangars in each closet and larger dresser space in the queen bedroon in the 4 bdrm house. I would definitely come back to this property with my family on my next trip to the beach and wish we had been able to stay longer."
