"The cottage was exactly as described and depicted in photos. Comfortable but not fancy. It was perfect for our family and dog. Good location and quiet street, les than a mile from the Village. We hope to rent it again."

  • Mini Vaca

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived, we were greeted with a bunch of welcoming gifts from Paula. Her place is beautiful with lots of pictures of her family and lots of comfy pillows. The decor was very nice and there was a book with all the info you needed to know about her place. There was a guest service number in which I called once and April was very pleasant. We enjoyed Savannah for a day and had lunch at Paula's restaurant - Lady and Sons which was very tasty. Loved taking the carriage tour ride through historic Savannah. We also checked out Tybee Island and went to the pier which they were filming the "Magic Mike XXL" movie and enjoyed the lighthouse tour. The only dislike I would have to say about Paula's place would be location. I thought it would located more near the water and not staring at an older house in front of us.Her place is beautiful but felt it did not belong there. All and all it was a nice stay."

  • Fantastic Weekend!

"If you are looking for a great getaway, look no further! My wife, three kids, and my parents stayed three nights and it was truly relaxing. The property was everything it said it was and more. It was fully stocked with everything you need with items such as coffee maker, filters, soap, cookers, gas grill, crab traps, you name it. The views are amazing and well worth the trip. Even though the crabs were somewhat out of season, we experienced everything from dolphin watching, boating, fishing, sight seeing, and even catching some small sharks off the dock. I want to also want to give a great big thank you to the person who planted the two magnolia trees on the bank so many years ago. They provide the perfect place sit in the shade, relax, and watch the boats in the waterways! We will definitely go again!"

  • Homeschool = Home's Cool!!

"We are a homeschooling family of 6 and we are studying American History this year. Let me tell you what kind of impact it has on your children when they can lay hands and feet to the forts of the GA colony at Frederica, see where Oglethorpe drove the Spanish back at the Battle of Bloody Marsh, then drive a few short hours south to see the fort in St. Augustine where they retreated. I could also go on about the Gilded Age and maritime forests of Jekyll (not to mention a ROCKING shrimp and grits festival). Hands on history and science, baby, and there is nothing "common" about that "core". But I digress, as this is a review on lodging! Walking into this condo was a breath of fresh, coastal air! Each wall echoes the varying shades of ocean hues and luminous sunsets. It is instantly apparent that these owners have thought of each detail, from woven seating in the dining area, to plush mattresses on each bed, to the kitchy little seahorse lamp in the master. Hello, beach vacation! We made friends with some "porch neighbors" next door, I gave her a tour and her jaw dropped at the vast difference in style. Remember folks, these are individually owned, decorated and cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better place to immerse ourselves in history, coastal ecology, the shrimping industry (2 lbs jumped onto our paddleboards and we had them for dinner!), and all the Golden Isles have to offer. Thank you to the wonderfully accommodating owners who allowed us to make this our home for the month of September, after all, home's cool! I hope this one stays on VRBO for a while. We will be back!"
