  • Beautiful!

"This home is gorgeous and well laid out for two couples to go together and have a great time and still have private time. The setting is wonderful and the house is very well decorated with comfortable furniture and beds. Just a wonderful place and we had a great time! Very peaceful! Nice Hottub too!"

  • Amazing place to escape!

"Our group of 6 adults thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Overlook. It had everything from board games, movies, to an awesome hot tub with an incredible view. It was exceptionally clean when we arrived, and the owners were very helpful by providing binders with things to do and places to eat. The decor made it feel like a real mountain cabin, and the fireplace helped to cement that cozy mountain-home feel. We went on several hikes in the area, and our favorite was High Shoals Falls. We would definitely stay here again. I can't recommend this place enough. It was fabulous."

  • Look no further. This home is the best.

"We have stayed in many North Georgia cabins and can tell you this was by far the best. Even cabins that were a lot more expensive. The location is perfect if you are looking do some hikes to the many nearby waterfalls. It is near enough to enjoy the beautiful town but far enough out in the woods that you have a complete nature experience. The view is much better than the photos on the site show. The house has the feel of a warm cozy home. Not a rental. We loved the fire place with real wood that was supplied. The colder days that we spent inside were still fun."

  • great place -- but don't underestimate the number of stairs.

"Good house perfect for our retreat. Just to be clear: a few of the other reviews mentioned that there's a lot of stairs down to the lake. In fact, there are more than 110 stairs -- important in case you're 9 months pregnant (like me) or have elders as part of your group (as we did). Also, while the owners were quick to respond to an email, they did not respond to either of two phone messages we left -- once before going to confirm details and once when we were leaving the property."
