  • Great honeymoon spot!!!

"My husband and I spent our honeymoon here. We were here only two nights, that was not enough time!! The cabin is very nice and clean. Hot tub was clean and very relaxing. You can hear the creek from the porch and even inside if you have the doors and windows open. The screened in porch was a perfect spot to eat our dinner we cooked on the gas grill. The owners are very sweet and great to work with. We will definitely be back with our family and hopefully for an anniversary or two!!"

  • Very peaceful

"The location is great - very secluded and peaceful. It's tucked away at the end of the road. You can't see any other homes from the property and the only time we heard neighbors was when they mowed their grass. One of the most relaxing places we have stayed in quite a while. We were able to sit by the creek in summer without bugs buzzing around us which was nice. The yard looks like a state park area and is spacious enough for kids to play. The description says that he creek is at the end of the drive but it was actually closer than I expected and could be heard from the porch. Although clearly an older home, the house was extremely clean and smelled great when we walked in. Everything we needed was available and the owner readily answered any questions we had via email. The beds were not as comfortable as I prefer - I'm spoiled with my super soft bed - but comfortable enough. Good for those who like firm beds. There was a bit of an issue with condensation from the air vent in the living area but if we kept the door shut it reduced the problem. The porch area is nice and adds to the relaxation. There was a good breeze and as I mentioned, the creek could be heard from that area. Parking was difficult with the boat we pulled to the cabin but for individual cars it is fine. There is a washer and dryer but they are in the basement which was musty following a recent storm. Other than that, I did not see any problems with the home or property - very well maintained. I particularly like the stone accents outside - it added to the ambiance. My husband is never really able to relax but commented more than once that this was the most relaxed he has been on vacation. I would not recommend this property for those who have difficulty with stairs. The stairs are good and solid but there are several steps required to get to the house."

  • Delightful Getaway!

"We loved this cabin! The place is clean, clean, clean and decorated so beautifully. The kitchen is very modern with everything needed to made some meals. Both bedrooms are spacious, each having a private bathroom, and the queen beds were super comfortable. There is a step-in shower in one bath and a tub/shower in the other. The location is in a lovely valley on a dead end road so it is quiet. The one-level cabin has seating on both the front & back porches, making sitting outside just so enjoyable! The owners responded quickly & pleasantly when we had pre-trip questions. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Be sure to check out Jim's Smokin' Que restaurant nearby (Thurs-Sat only 11am-8pm.) Expect to wait for delicious food! We had an awesome stay!"

  • Kedra on the lake

"Absolutely wonderful! All the comforts of home with the feeling of a lodge. Our group of 14 fit comfortably. There is plenty of activities to do in the house, at the lake or in the surrounding areas. Its great just to relax at the dock, or the bonfire pit or on the huge balcony. Will definitely come again. The large dinner table is perfect to spend time with friends and celebrate. Grilling is a must! Thanks for a wonderful vacation."
