  • **!Kendra on the Lake was a PERFECT fit for our group!**

"Six adults and five children ages 4-12 y/o stayed the weekend for a triathlon in Dawsonville (It was a quick drive down 19 to get to the race on game day.). It poured buckets with lightening the majority of the weekend, but the kids had a ball with a run of the downstairs with air hockey, their own rooms and a large area to hang out and watch TV or play video games on a PlayStation II that was on site with games. A ping pong tournament in the garage kept us busy while dad grilled on a grill that was also on site. For two hours on Saturday, we jumped in the canoe and took off around the lake. The best part of the stunning property aside from it being so family friendly, is that it is well stocked. Unlike some rentals, there are paper products upon arrival which made the first hours enjoyable as we settled in without needing to rush to the store immediately in order to function. Swinging on the porch with the grand kids was Grandpa & Grandma's favorite spot. I hiked around Vogel State Park and nabbed a geocache. Dad shopped for jalapeno jelly at Pappy's. Thanks a thousand times for a most restorative weekend outside the hustle and bustle of Atlanta and Cincinnati."

  • Wonderful cabin

"We are from Michigan, but living in Florida these last few years and we really missed fall. For my 40th birthday I decided we were going to see fall, so we booked this cabin. We traveled the 10 hours with our four kids, and the only bad thing I can say about the cabin is the drive. We arrived after dark, and it was raining, so the initial drive up the road to the cabin was scary. The road it is on is 1 1/2 cars wide, with a soft shoulder. In the dark and in the rain it was kind of scary, but once we got to the cabin we were in love! Beautiful cabin decorated in a country fashion. Great fireplace, beautiful view out the back deck. Very quiet and relaxing (our four kids were the loudest things on the mountain!). The house has everything you will need. Plenty of towels for our family. Bedding was warm and cozy. Firewood outside for the fireplace. Kitchen is full of plates, glasses, pots and pans, wine openers - everything we needed to make meals for our large family. Our kids were too young to want to sleep in the basement apartment - but plenty of room upstairs for our family of six. Great place to stay and we hope to come back every fall we are in Florida! Thank you for the wonderful visit!"

  • All Grins

"What a perfect place to spend a week! The house is fantastic and the Stewarts are top notch people to deal with. If we ever come back to the mountains of north Georgia, we will try to come here. Highly recommended."

  • College Retreat

"I took my college group on a retreat here the past few days. Overall the cabin was great. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It gave the feeling that you were in the middle of nowhere but was still close to places we needed to get to. The 3 levels are nice to get away. The only con is you can hear a lot of what goes on wherever you are at. I would go back again."
