  • perfect getaway

"This lovely mountain cabin had everything we needed for our week vacation in the North Georgia area--spacious and clean with attracive furnishings; great lake view from the deck; trails right ouside our door and close driving distance to many state parks and scenic areas. We enjoyed using the canoe and kayaks provided with the cabin and having evening campfires In the fire pit after watching beautiful sunsets. We were only 45 minutes away from whitewater rafting on the Chattooga River. Raven Cliffs was our favorite hiking trail with a lot of scenic waterfalls. There were several little villages and towns to shop in within a 15-mile radius. We look forward to returning to this home away from home."

  • Wonderful getaway on the Soque River

"We were so lucky to find this beautiful home right on the Soque River. What you see in the pictures here is what you get. A beautiful, serene setting with lots of space for a large family gathering. We found the home tastefully decorated, clean, fully stocked with everything we needed from towels and sheets to a fully stocked kitchen. We stayed busy the whole time with fishing, daily walks, lots of board games and books to choose from, Foosball, and Ping Pong. My 88 year old dad was delighted to be able to safely fish off the special dock that is right over the Honey Hole and he was awarded with winning our impromptu fishing tournament by out fishing the rest of us when he caught and landed a 22", 5 1/2 pound brown trout, the biggest fish he has ever caught, and an huge Rainbow that gave him a good fight. Of course, they went back into the water since this is a catch and release location on the river. My 85 year old mom enjoyed the large decks and living room with the big screen tv with cable. She was able to watch all of her usual news programs and shows. My brother-in-law, husband and I spent most days flyfishing. The Soque River is one of the most beautiful in Georgia and beyond. We were especially glad that the owner allows pets and we could bring our small doggies. The owner is so accommodating and is available to answer any questions. It is obvious that he wants everyone that goes there to enjoy it as much as he and his family do and he goes out of his way to make sure his guests are happy. I can't thank him enough for that. My family and I highly recommend this wonderful getaway, especially for flyfishing and family gatherings."

  • Best Birthday Ever!!

"My family and I decided to celebrate my birthday this year in the mountains and boy were we ever glad we did!! This cabin and the surrounding area is exactly as described on the VRBO site. John is exceptional in making the rental process a breeze. While our son and granddaughter were playing in the creek one afternoon, I commented to my husband that this was just like watching my favorite movie!! If you like the beauty and serenity of nature, this is the place for you. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and more than met our family's need to "get away from it all". It looks like we will be making this destination my new birthday tradition!!"

  • Perfect Quaint Mount Get-Away

"We so appreciated the owner's attention to detail in making this a place that is well supplied with the comforts of just what you would need and want for your get-away. My sister and I were only here for a short stay as we were in the are for a wedding. However, we wanted to sit in the window seat and drink coffee, listening to the mountain stream bubble by. My 11 yr old nephew loved being able to walk out the back door and fish. The coffee set up made for a terrific cup of coffee, very important to a coffee drinker. The furniture was comfortable. Linens were fresh and well stocked. The cabin was very accommodating. Due to the rain we had very little time to enjoy the outdoors. Between swings, horseshoes, the stream, back deck and overall large yard we would have loved to enjoy more time outside. Thank you so much for helping to make this a wonderful weekend for us. Your hospitality is very apparent!"
