  • wedding weekend made perfect

"We rented Bench and Bar to house our extended family for our son's wedding weekend at a nearby vineyard. We slept 11 but hosted the bride's maid luncheon and had plenty of room as we spread out through the living space and onto the deck. The four bedrooms with their baths attached to the living space yet separated by doors was great for the larger numbers. It was well equipped and supplied. The view is amazing. We had a wonderful time and made many great memories. Glad the weather was great bc the road in could be challenging; the price of seclusion. We had several questions along the way and the property owner was quick to respond and most helpful. You will not be disappointed if you choose this property."

  • Christmas vacation

"In place of presents this year, we decided, as a family, that we would rent a cabin in the mountains for the week of Christmas. This is the cabin we chose and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place for our family of mom, dad, and five children. This cabin was so centrally located to everything we were interested in doing that we never had to drive more than 10 or 15 minutes to get there (except Dahlonega to go gold mining, but that we just did on our way out of town and so it made it perfect). We went hiking at Anna Ruby Falls, Duke's Creek Falls, and Raven Falls.....absolutely stunning. We visited Cabbage Patch land, the thrill of the trip for my 7 and 9 year old girls. We went bowling and roller skating (twice, because the facility was brand new, we couldn't resist!). We went horseback riding at Chattahochee Stables and ziplining at ZipNtime (HIGHLY recommend for first timers!). Whew, what a blast we had! On top of all the awesome activities, the grocery store was right around the corner. The cabin provided everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation from games, to the hot tub, to the firewood for the fireplace (one of our favorite parts!), to the spacious three levels where we could all spread out, to the wonderful large kitchen for cooking in, and so much more. It was clean and comfortable. If you are looking to visit this area and are interested in finding one offering these things, this is the cabin for you! Btw, the owners were super friendly and super helpful."

  • Exactly as advertised

"My 5 Stars is for an experience exactly in line with what I wanted and expected. This is not a fancy luxury cabin. It is a very nice, clean, cozy and comfortable cabin. I took my wife for her birthday and it was just what we needed. The cabin is secluded enough to give plenty of privacy (some we saw were nearly on top of each other) yet close and convenient to all the attractions in the Helen, Dahlonega, Cleveland area. We visited all 3 cities and got in some excellent hiking as well. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for an affordable and enjoyable get-away."

  • Excellent Thanks Giving with Family and Friends

"We spend Thanks Giving with family and friends, at this beautiful cabin, and we had a great time. The cabin is very well placed, very private and with great views, yet not too far from towns. The cabin offered great amenities, up to date kitchen and appliances, and it was very specious as well, we didn't feel too crowded. The rental process was easy and painless, and the cabin was everything it was promised to be, and more. We will definitely keep it in mind, for our next vacation in the mountains."
