"I recently rented the entire house for a family gathering for my daughters wedding in Dahlonega. Best spent money ever. The lower level is especially inviting to gather in and talk and laugh. Great Kitchen island to gather around. The upstairs for us seemed to lend itself to be more for some alone or quiet time. We had 9 people so the house was full but didn't seem overcrowded. There are 4 large size bedrooms with the 5th being what I would term a large closet (Had bunk beds). I don't think I ever received more comment from family and quests on what a great idea renting the house was. Plenty of room for football and other outside activities as well as plenty of room just to relax and sit. Wish we had more time to just chill and enjoy the privacy of the house as well as the hot tub and hiking. I will add however that it is quite a hike if you want to walk into town, mostly up hill on the way. We found it easier to drive and with a little patience you can find free parking off the main square. I would most definitely rent this house again in a heartbeat."Guest: Korb Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 11, 2014View listing
"Very nice cottage and surroundings, excellent for kids, teenagers, pets have a huge lawn and forest to run and explore plus the river to swim in. Excellent location for activities as we did tubing on the river, horseback riding, zip lining, hiking, fishing and visiting the vineyards all within an hour drive. The cottage is comfortable and well stocked, the beds are comfortable so we fully recommend to all that staying here is a great vacation and getaway."Guest: Eric Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 12, 2014View listing
"This was by far, one of the most beautiful, well stocked and comfortable rentals I have ever booked and stayed at! We arrived to the most breathtaking views, an amazingly clean home that was so well stocked, we barely had to take anything out of our personal stash for both cooking and stocking kitchen and bathrooms ( paper towels, garbage bags, soaps etc). We had Thanksgiving here and we had so much fun! The kids were entertained in the game room, everyone was comfortable with sleeping arrangements, and the natural beauty of the area was the icing on the cake! Thank you for an amazing, refreshing and all around comfortable home to share with our family."Guest: Jackie T. Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 3, 2013View listing
""Spirit of the River" cabin is one of the most magical places I have ever been. You can feel the magic when you arrive at the cabin. Everyone in our group says the same thing and that is why we book in advance at least twice a year for a nice long stay. There is a place for everyone to hang out. There are porches everywhere, cozy spots everywhere, and a beautiful river flowing around the entire property. The view of the river is surreal and at night in the jacuzzi it is so beautiful to see. The home is equipped with everything we need in the kitchen to bake, grill, or fry anything we want. The bedrooms are so warm and cozy and always have soft sheets to snuggle in. There are spare blankets all around, games, DVD's to watch, pool to play, firewood to burn. I've never noticed anything soiled or broken in the cabin. You can tell that the owners love their place. I am just so happy that they are willing to open it up to us each year. If we forget anything there is a Walmart very close. Actually the whole of Dahlonega is very close. We usually arrive and enjoy the place for a couple of days and then I will see a few here or there venture to town for an outing or something. We all sort of come and go through tour weeks stay and that is so perfect for us. When my dad comes with us he refuses to leave for any reason. He can't get enough of the place. Every year my family will begin making calls to me to make sure I have booked our stay because we all look forward to getting rejuvenated by some good ole river "spirit"."Guest: Shelley B.
