"Very neat and cozy cabin for two. It is tucked away in the woods, but very close to everything in Helen. (Can walk to many things) We had a great time."

"Stayed at dukes creek for memorial weekend. Cabin was nice, nothing fancy, just the basics. Loved the area as it was secluded from the main attractions in helen. It was down a gravel road where we saw deer & turkey. It was however very close to helen so easy for drive to daily activities. 3 other cabins w renters in same campground. There was a large firepit but it was a communiy one, so when other folks already were there, we didnt feel like we wanted to crash their party. Also there is a community hot tub, which looked decent, but I didnt want to use it for the same reason. If hot tub is important to u, just get a cabin with its own tu . There were clean sheets and towels, and soap for dishes. The dishes were however not washed well from prior renters because there was wet soggy food between dishes in the cupboards. No dishwasher, just hand washing, so I had to wash all dishes prior to using. Had dish TV, but not a big thing for us as we came to woods for the nature. One other bothersome issue was that there were a ton of ants n the upstairs? They had obviously sprayed for bugs, because every ant was twitching and dead after entering the bathroom. The second night, I slept downstairs on couch because my wife had ant bites from the bed where some fell from the ceiling. Water was good, didnt smell and was clean. Lastly, one of the 2 beds was so creaky that it woke us up each time we moved in the night. Mattress could be updated too. Overall, the cabin was nice, just these few things that I didn't expect."

"We had a wonderful stay in The Lodge and The Fisherman's Cabin over the 4th of July weekend. The park on the river is hands down the perfect setting for a group. We had a wonderful time grilling, tubing (very easy access), and drinking beer down by the river. The boys especially loved Cindy's driving range set up. It was my husband's 30th birthday and we were able to all watch a video I had made of all of his friends and family wishing him a Happy Birthday down there too since we had electrical access. It was the definite highlight of the trip! The location is perfect too. We walked into Helen for the fireworks, hung out at a bar after in downtown, and walked home. Half of our group stopped at the go kart place right on the way home and rode golf carts too. Tip: when going into town during high traffic times, come out of the road the cabins are on, take a left, and then take an immediate right on Unicoi I think. There's a grocery and liquor store right there and it takes 3 minutes and no traffic if you go that way. I have no idea how Cindy has the energy to keep us with everything but she manages very well. Side note, she's also absolutely hysterical. She had us all cracking up the second we walked in the door. The cabins are rustic and quirky so know that going in and just go with it. Some of my girlfriends were surprised but they all came around in the end and said they'd definitely want to come back. I think it was nice for us all to get out of our element and be more in touch with nature. The Lodge is where I stayed and will want to stay again but having access to the Fisherman's Cabin is great for grilling and access to the river. It was also perfect for our friends with a small child since he could nap and they were only 50 feet away and had the wifi for their baby monitor so they could keep an eye on him the whole time. The hot tubs are great and very clean, the pool table room at the Lodge was used multiple times, the kitchens have what you need. It's great. We brought a golf cart by the way, which was really helpful in transporting people and food to the river from the Lodge since it's a bit steep. Thanks Cindy for all of your help and for going out of your way to ship my left behind clothes before you left town!!!! She's seriously the best!! She feels like a friend and it shows that others feel that way by all the sweet notes left for her."
