  • Exceptional cabin!!!!

"This mountain house was delightful! It was located in a peaceful, serene setting a short drive away from Unicoi State Park, Old Sautee Store, & Alpine Helen. The cabin had a paved drive (which was great since it was rainy), lovely porch with rocking chairs, spacious rooms, cable tv, washer/dryer, furnished kitchen, & well stocked with necessities (liquid soap/paper towels/iron/hair dryer/towels). The owners were even thoughtful enough to leave brochures of tourist attractions & a map of the local town of Helen. The owners were very easy to work with and made their contact info. readily available if needed. The only con for me...poor cell phone reception, but for others this may be a plus! I look forward to staying in this exact cabin again in the future. It exceeded my expectations!"

  • Cozy and Clean

"My husband and I needed a getaway to get some rest and relaxation and this was a great decision. The cabin was cozy and clean and in a perfect location, not too far out but with just enough space between cabins to enjoy your privacy. It had everything that you need to prepare a meal; the hot tub was a perfect wind down from our road trip there. This pics are a little deceiving so when you walk in, you’re surprised because it’s smaller than it appears in the pictures but once we were in and settled it really was perfect for 2 people. The only thing that we did miss was a television in the bedroom."

  • Relaxing!

"We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cabin. Kudos to the housekeeper as this was one of the cleaner cabins that we have stayed in. The appliances and furniture are older but very, very clean! Our dogs loved romping in the huge yard. We are a huge gaming family and typically travel with a couple of board games. We did not bring any to this cabin as the listing says there are games in the closet. We couldn't find any. This is my no means a deal breaker and we hope to come back for another stay!"

  • So much more than just a cabin

"I rented this cabin to get my 16-year-old daughter away from our home environment for a little while. She has been in a deep suicidal, depressive state for two years, and she has suffered off and on with it since she was eight years old. I was hoping a stay at this dream cabin would do her some good, but it did so much more than that. My daughter came alive as I have not seen her in years! She smiled a lot, she talked, and she expressed her feelings, and she looked at me, as if she were seeing me for the very first time and then gave me a huge hug! And I know it is due to the magnificence of this beautiful cabin, the peaceful surroundings, the sounds of nature, and watching and listening to the creek rushing by right behind the cabin. It was wonderful sitting on the screened in porch, covered up, and drinking hot chocolate. We roasted marshmallows in the firepit and made smores and just talked to each other. We built fires in the fireplace, watched movies, and sat in the hot tub. My daughter was surprised to find that the upstairs main bedroom had patio doors that led out to a patio with a view of the creek. We hardly ever left the cabin because everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is there that you could possibly want and need, except food. And Helen is more like 17 to 20 miles, according to my calculations. My favorite memory will be the morning I was sitting on the couch, and I looked up and my daughter had just woken up. She was at the top of the stairs, fixing to come down, and she had a big smile on her face (that I haven't seen in over two years). I asked why she was smiling, and she lifted both arms up and said, "IT'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL DAY!" My heart and my eyes have cried tears of joy watching her. Thank you for this awesome piece of heaven! We will definitely be back!"
