"We (my husband, teenage son, son's friend, and I) stayed here for a few days almost one week ago on a last minute get away. We cannot say enough wonderful things! Shangri-La is everything the pictures and descriptions say and SO much more. From the moment we stepped in the cabin, it felt like home and we knew we were in for a fantastic few days. Our only regret, of which we were fully aware, is that the water was still a bit too cold to enjoy. Nonetheless, we still took advantage of the serenity of the cabin, views from the boathouse, canoe and kayaks, downtown Clayton, as well a all the hiking opportunities in the area.
The owners made themselves available for any silly questions (we had a few) or concerns (there were non) we had. In addition, it was a pleasure to meet him in person and hear a little first hand history about the town, the cabin and its lovely owners.
Thank you so very much, David, for an amazing weekend and for sharing some time with us. We look forward to staying here again. Natalie C."

Wonderful Place! Cozy, Comfy, Quiet and Near All Our Destinations.
"The cabin is clean, stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the décor is charming throughout. Quiet, comfy and cozy. Every direction you drive from here is beautiful. On our first full day we drove west to GA 348 and did a 2 mi. mountain hike on the Appalachian Trail http://bit.ly/1JeZaDj, then to Anna Ruby Falls, then walking and dinner in Helen at Bigg Daddys. On our second day we drove east and hiked Tallulah Gorge. Driving back we went thru the community of Lakemont and wound around the east side of Lake Rabun and what a surprise and treat! Beautiful lake vistas and adorable homes hugging the hill sides. The Mark of the Potter is just down the road from the cabin, directly on the Soquee River. It is worth a visit for the many area attraction brochures they have at the front counter, not to mention the quaint ceramics. And for .25 cents you can feed the trout from their rustic overhanging balcony. We wish we had had more time to tool around the area and see more sights. We highly recommend this wonderful place."

"We took our 4 grandchildren and they had as much fun as the Disney cruise we took them on. The kids spent their days swimming, tubing and knee boarding. My wife just enjoyed the peace and tranquility. This cottage could not be in a better location for old and young alike. It was so cozy and Kristen (the owner) is just the nicest person I have ever dealt with. She was so patient in answering questions before we went. We thought the clothes washer was broken so Kristen sent somebody right over, but it just turned out to be operator error on our part (one more reminder we are technologically challenged). My wife wants to go back before next summer without the children so she can spend more time just sitting and enjoying the surroundings."

"When we entered the house until we left, so many great memories were made! House was clean and had more than enough kitchen utensils and cookware to cook for our hungry crew. Lawn was awesome for football, soccer, corn hole....and fireworks. Owners were great to work with and very nice. Would recommend this family cottage to anyone!"
