  • Beautiful Lakeside Condo!

"We spent four nights at this 3/3 condo: my dad, my son and his friend. The pictures on the site do not do the condo justice and the pictures are not an oversell. Each area of the condo is well-appointed with neutral colors and natural surfaces. I brought a few items from my own kitchen and most of those items were already at the condo -- a cutting board, wooden spoons, a small boiler. I did get quite a bit of use out of my nonstick fryer w/top that I brought with me for preparing breakfast meats. We thoroughly enjoyed the layout of the condo and are thankful that at least one of the guest bedrooms was on the 2nd floor, the main living floor of the home. It would have been too difficult for my dad to climb the stairs from the garage and then a second flight of stairs to reach a bedroom. One thing was very clear: The owner(s) take pride in their home! Beautiful! Hiawassee itself is a beautifully charming city set amidst Lake Chatuge. The condo is situated such that views encompass both the lake and mountains! If you're looking for peace and quiet, we never heard any noise from neighbors or even the main street. If you're seeking adventure, that too can be found relatively easily. If you simply want to enjoy the lake, then bring (or rent!) a boat and your vacation will be wonderful! We rented a boat on Friday and enjoyed the beautiful lake. We also spent a day at nearby waterfall areas; one was just behind Young Harris College (Cupid Falls, 7 or 8 miles) and the other was in Blairsville (Helton Creek Falls, 25 to 30 miles), just across from Vogel State Park. Admittedly, it took us two tries before we found the waterfall behind Young Harris College. Note: You actually drive through the main entrance, turn left at the stop sign, and then bare to the right, keeping the ball field on your left; it's literally within 1.5 miles from the College entrance. During our stay we drove to Helen a couple times (just over 20 miles away), a very picturesque and quaint German town which reminded us of Solvang, CA. There's lots of family activities in neighboring towns. Hiawassee itself is a beautiful lakefront city. The condo is situated such that views encompass both the lake and mountains! If you're looking for peace and quiet, we never heard any noise from neighboring condos. If you're seeking adventure, that too can be found relatively easy. If you simply want to enjoy the lake, rent or bring a boat and you're vacation will be wonderful!"

  • Perfect Place for the Week

"This was a wonderful place for our family. The location was ideal, we were within close proximity to everywhere we needed or wanted to go. The house is beautifully decorated, spotless and well equipped with everything you would need. Every room was well accommodating and it was so relaxing sitting on the porch overlooking the lake. The view of the mountains was more than words can describe. The owners were very prompt in responding to emails and easy to reach. Bob and Carol are wonderful people, they made us feel very welcomed and accommodated all of our needs. This is the perfect place to stay and we hope we are able to return to this beautiful home again."

  • Fun at The Creek

"We enjoyed our stay at Creek Fun. The property was clean and well-maintained. We did have to go to the laundry room to find our washcloths. The rooms were spacious. Enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the water flowing down the creek. We also enjoyed playing pool in the cool basement. Disappointed that we could not watch the Atlanta Braves on TV. We had a great meal at the Deer Lodge Restaurant on hwy 17/75, open on Thur, Fri. and Sat."

  • Nice, Relaxing Weekend

"My family stayed here for the Labor Day weekend and we were not disappointed. We arrived to a very clean and inviting home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals for our family. The beds were comfortable (always an important factor for me) and the view was amazing. The young adult children enjoyed a day on the lake kayaking and paddle boarding while us older folks enjoyed a drive through the mountains and shopping. We will definitely be back !"

Hiawassee Travel Tips

Hiawassee Vacation Rentals: Family Fun

Within the Blue Ridge Mountains, tucked along Georgia's borderline, is Hiawassee. This tiny town (the population doesn't even grace 900) is rich in charm and picturesque beauty. The past has marked it, however, as a fleeting destination; with travelers ignoring its offerings for the nearby cities of Atlanta or Charlotte. But the years have slowly yielded recognition and Hiawassee is becoming a favorite of families. Its adventures are many; its views are incomparable; and Hiawassee vacation rentals ensure that its price won't overwhelm.

Hiawassee Cabin Rentals: Nature, Afforded

Towering trees, the scent of earth, the stir of water and sand: such settings are often craved but rarely experienced. Hotels are shoved away from them, kept to the more suitable stone; and campgrounds cause more fretting than appreciation. But Lake Chatuge lodging instead seeks to offer rustic landscapes and budget-friendly costs. This is a family destination. It is therefore meant to be enjoyed. Indulge in spacious quarters and modern style, all while being surrounded by nature. It's the perfect combination.

Lake Chatuge Lodging: Fun is Found Again

Stroll from the comforts of Hiawassee cabin rentals and enter the wild. Visit first the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. This massive park sprawls almost 900,000 acres and offers hiking, observational posts and wildlife protection. Travel then to the Boundary Resort Marina, where you'll be able to rent pontoon boats and sail out onto the lake. Equipment fees will apply. Be amazed by Black Rock Mountain State Park and its 1,743 acres of cliffs and peaks. Journey then to the nearby Appalachian Trail and follow history. And battle the heat by seeking the lake itself. Swimming, fishing and more are all welcome.

Hiawassee Vacation Rentals: For Your Family and You

Holidays are no longer restricted to the city. They are instead blossoming in forests. Let Hiawassee cabin rentals offer a sanctuary for your budget this season, and a promise of thrills.

While planning a vacation trip to Northeast Mountains in Georgia you might want to consider additional lodging options in the following destinations: Blairsville vacation rentals, lodging in Clayton, Helen GA cabin rentals, Lake Burton or Lake Lanier rentals.
