Great Little Cabin
"Our family enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cute little cabin. The cabin itself was very clean, well furnished and had all the kitchen items needed to make family meals. The beds were very comfortable, with the 2 bedrooms on opposite sides of the cabin (great if you have kids). The area was very quite with a very nice porch where you can sit out and enjoy the view of the surrounding valley and mountain ranges. We rented this cabin because of its close proximity to the Appalachian trail (about 7 minutes), and we were not disappointed."

"This cabin was the perfect size and great price. The view was breathtaking. It was truly a home away from home. I'm a Florida girl, so not used to all the curvy roads to get to the top of the mountain. But once a was there, the view and the cabin were worth my fears of the roads. Lol! Thanks Mrs Karen for everything."

"What an excellent little cabin. We enjoyed our stay so very much and really did not want to leave. The best part was the screened porch off the master where we relaxed and had our coffee in the morning, snuggled under our blankets In the bouncy swing and chaise. The kids (ages 9 and 12) really enjoyed playing in the stream below and cooking hotdogs and smores over the firepit down by the water. We loved the privacy and felt totally secure letting the kids play in the stream while we watched from the porch. We also loved the long walks along the gravel road. The house itself was a perfect size and very well planned, right down to the dimmer switches in the bathroom and hall, the nifty little swinging shelved pantry and well stocked kitchen, comfy bedding and neat garage area. No, it is not brand new, but I would say it was just perfect for us. My kids kept begging us to buy it. ;) We will definitely be back to this gem!"

"Waterside Cottage was a perfect place for the three generations of our family to enjoy our vacation; my husband and me, our daughters and our grandchildren. Lots of room in the cottage meant we were not cramped for space. No steps or stairs to enter the main floor was a blessing for us as my husband has a disability which makes it difficult for him to go up stairs or steps. With the upstairs game room, the bicycles, paddleboat, kayaks, swimming and fishing, I never once heard the kids say "I'm bored." The location was very convenient to several of our favorite restaurants and some of the small shops and stores we like to visit. Hiawassee is also a great place to stay while sightseeing in other nearby towns such as Helen, Blairsville, Clayton and Dillard. There is so much to see and do. Catherine is a gracious owner and her property is first rate. Her quick and positive response to any questions we had was very helpful. We hope to return sometime soon for another wonderful stay."
