  • Beautifully decorated and appointed, like staying at the Ritz.

"Great view and ambiance. Love the location. The lake is beautiful and having your boat in a secure dock within steps is great. We love the mountains, so relaxing. Very convenient to Hiawasee and stores, restaurants."

"This BEAUTIFUL home is a MUST! My family and I decided to take a vacation from the city life and what a great decision it was. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. The views from every point in the house are absolutely beautiful. Carol, the home owner was very accommodating and helpful. It rained a couple of days while we were there and the kids were never bored. We definitely plan on returning. Highly recommended!!"

  • Family Vacation

"We had three couples stay at Chrissy's Xanadu in Hayesville, NC which borders on the Georgia line in Hiawassee. It was an awesome stay. The view from the back balcony is incredible especially the sunsets. If there is a little fog the sunrise from the front porch about 9 am is heavenly as the rays of sunshine peak through the trees. We were able to capture it in photos. We went to Brasstown Bald which is a must see. The weather and views from up there were unreal. We rented a pontoon boat and toured Lake Chatuge. That was fantastic. We hiked the Chatuge Dam and we were surrounded by beauty. We hiked Jack Rabbit Mountain which was fun. We ate at Daniel's steak house which was very good but we did a lot of barbequing on the balcony because we just wanted to soak up the view. There is a lot to do in this area but if you just want to relax I couldn't think of a better place to do it than at Chrissy's Xanadu. So very quiet and serene. We were hoping to see some colors of the changing leaves but we were here a little too early and I am sure this place is booked each and every October. We would definitely come back again."

  • Best Value in the North Georgia Mountains

"We booked Almost Paradise for a weeklong vacation for three families. Six adults and seven boys (all under 15) had a wonderful time. If anything, the pictures and description of the property do not do it justice. The cabin is beautiful on the inside and out. The view from within the valley is beautiful as well. If you're looking to relax outside, the house has almost as much porch area as living area. The boys spent the entire time we were there wading and playing in the creek. There's also a fire ring and swing down near the creek for evening gatherings. The cabin is conveniently located between Helen and Hiawassee. Our families spent the week hiking to waterfalls, visiting the Georgia Mountain Fair, and tubing on the Chattahoochee and Nottley Rivers. It was truly a week to remember. The property owner, Marilyn, was always accessible. Before, during, and after the trip I was able to reach her by phone and email with any questions I might have had. She was extremely nice and helpful. The weekly rental rate has to be the best in the North Georgia mountains. The cabin is basically two houses in one, and it is set up perfectly for two families to utilize. In fact, two families could stay here and not even intrude upon each other. We were never really cramped with our three families. Once we split the rental rate three ways, we still had some money left to go out and eat and take the boys to do some things we might otherwise have passed on. I cannot say enough positive things about Almost Paradise. We loved it and can't wait to go back again."

Hiawassee Travel Tips

Hiawassee Vacation Rentals: Family Fun

Within the Blue Ridge Mountains, tucked along Georgia's borderline, is Hiawassee. This tiny town (the population doesn't even grace 900) is rich in charm and picturesque beauty. The past has marked it, however, as a fleeting destination; with travelers ignoring its offerings for the nearby cities of Atlanta or Charlotte. But the years have slowly yielded recognition and Hiawassee is becoming a favorite of families. Its adventures are many; its views are incomparable; and Hiawassee vacation rentals ensure that its price won't overwhelm.

Hiawassee Cabin Rentals: Nature, Afforded

Towering trees, the scent of earth, the stir of water and sand: such settings are often craved but rarely experienced. Hotels are shoved away from them, kept to the more suitable stone; and campgrounds cause more fretting than appreciation. But Lake Chatuge lodging instead seeks to offer rustic landscapes and budget-friendly costs. This is a family destination. It is therefore meant to be enjoyed. Indulge in spacious quarters and modern style, all while being surrounded by nature. It's the perfect combination.

Lake Chatuge Lodging: Fun is Found Again

Stroll from the comforts of Hiawassee cabin rentals and enter the wild. Visit first the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. This massive park sprawls almost 900,000 acres and offers hiking, observational posts and wildlife protection. Travel then to the Boundary Resort Marina, where you'll be able to rent pontoon boats and sail out onto the lake. Equipment fees will apply. Be amazed by Black Rock Mountain State Park and its 1,743 acres of cliffs and peaks. Journey then to the nearby Appalachian Trail and follow history. And battle the heat by seeking the lake itself. Swimming, fishing and more are all welcome.

Hiawassee Vacation Rentals: For Your Family and You

Holidays are no longer restricted to the city. They are instead blossoming in forests. Let Hiawassee cabin rentals offer a sanctuary for your budget this season, and a promise of thrills.

While planning a vacation trip to Northeast Mountains in Georgia you might want to consider additional lodging options in the following destinations: Blairsville vacation rentals, lodging in Clayton, Helen GA cabin rentals, Lake Burton or Lake Lanier rentals.
