Perfect Birthday Weekend
"The Cabin was ever thing we wanted and more. It was so comfortable and relaxing with such a great location. While there we went to Helen one day, Shopping in Hiawassee one day, and went to Blue Ridge one day. We loved the layout and the furniture and beds are so comfortable. The hot tub was perfect every night and the porch swing with a book and a cup of coffee was perfection. We would love to stay here again!"

What a Gem of a find, killer Lake Chatuge Views and very clean.
"My husband and I just stayed at the "Dogwood Den" to celebrate my 60th Birthday. This place was great! Ruth & Glenn are THE best hosts. The cottage is built over a large Garage and was very clean, very well stocked with all you would need as they thought of everything..It has AWESOME views of Lake Chatuge, so relaxing, peaceful and calm. It has great level parking both down by the Garage area (plus a covered area which is great for motorcycles, etc.) and up by the main living area which is all on one level. There is level parking right alongside the deck leading to the cottage, so NO Stairs on that main level for loading, unloading and parking. We took our 2 small dogs with us and it was so great to find a place that is pet friendly and does not charge an arm and a leg for Pet Fees and cleaning fees. Their rates are very reasonable for what they offer and they are close by if you need anything at all. Ruth even came over and gave us some great cherry pie for my Birthday! We had such a relaxing weekend, yet we were minutes away from some great places to eat...The Chop House in Hiawassee was awesome. Brasstown Bald, you have to have their Sunday Breakfast or Brunch. Their scallops are fantastic. The marina in close by, other great places to shop and eat or just cook out on their grill or in the fully stocked kitchen. They have a large deck with picnic table, chairs, etc. so you can eat there and enjoy the views!
The cottage has 2 good size bedrooms, hardwood floors throughout. The bathroom is good size with a nice large counter top area, drawers, etc (for all the girl things that you need space for). Single Vanity and Shower. Tile floor. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The living room has a FULL size comfy couch so any of you tall boys can lay out on that couch and not have your legs hanging over. My husband had a few good naps there. Plus they have a nice Lazy Boy Recliner and another very comfortable rocker chair with ottoman where I sat. The kitchen has ALOT of counter space and the dinette area is good size too. The cottage is a very open floor plan, lots of natural light. We loved it!
You have access to the lake across the street too if you want to get in for swimming or put in a Kayak or canoe, etc.
I even purchased a pair of hand made earrings and necklace from our host Ruth who makes them!
Cannot say enough about our Find in Hiawassee at the Dogwood Den. Thanks Ruth and Glenn, we WILL return."

"Our family LOVED the cabin. It was close to the fair, had a wonderful view of the lake, and gave us plenty of space to spend time together (we had yucky weather). Everyone felt at home the moment we walked in. We are looking forward to booking the cabin again very soon!"

"Everything about this rental is amazing. The cabin is beautiful and has the most amazing view. We went to Brasstown Bald, the highest point in GA and it didn't compare to the view you would get here. Save your money and sit out back on the rocking chairs. Also Karen was amazing. She was so helpful and made this trip amazing. The house has everything you need and want. I will be looking to come back again! Very pleased."
